  1. Missouri, but pronunciations and dialects vary greatly depending on what part of the state you’re in. That Mason-Dixon Line, y’all. For me: AHL-mund puh-KAHN catty corner Soda One question I’ve always had, is pic-ture vs pitcher a regional thing, or just a mispronunciation? I never want to say anything to people who say “pitcher.”
  2. Hmm, I’m not on Twitter and all the Twitter posts show up fine for me. I click to play the videos and they start right away, without leaving this page. Could it be a browser issue?
  3. Funny you should say that, because from the beginning I have thought Scottie sounds like the know it all bratty kid in The Polar Express, who is played by the same actor (and annoying voice) as Eugene in Grease.
  4. Not true insight, but I follow Sarah Hyland on Instagram and I know she and Wells hung out with Derek and Taylor over New Years in NYC. Taylor just did not seem to fit in, and I wondered back then how long they would last. Their group were all outgoing, quirky, semi partiers and Taylor doesn’t drink. In one story they were watching a Bachelor winter games episode together and making fun, like we all do here, and Taylor basically said she couldn’t participate because it was too mean. Which is very sweet of her, but just made her even more of an outsider. So my guess is they tried, but they’re really just too different.
  5. I re-watched the scenes with Ben because I had a hunch his stories didn’t match up. When Cole sees him at the conference Ben tells him things ended on a good note, that Allison said she felt good standing up for herself, that he tuned out after 20 minutes. When Noah and Cole confronted him at the VA, he said it took 20 minutes, that she broke it off with him and she said she’d been hurt one too many times. It did not sound like it ended on good terms like he said previously. So no glaring differences, but there’s definitely something not adding up. One “differing perspective” (or writer oversight?) thing I noticed, when Noah looked at his phone in the airport, there were 4 missed calls from Cole. Which actually makes no sense since he was in the air and his phone was off, but whatever. We only saw Cole call Noah once, at the conference, and Noah called him back just a few minutes later. Just another of those subtle little perspective things you can catch often with this show. ETA-Well now I rewatched the end of episode 7 and Cole actually calls Noah and Noah answers, so that completely flipped into this episode. Guessing Cole was so exhausted he just has no idea what the details are.
  6. Pauline figured it out at the end of “The End of the Tour” episode. Charles came to her book signing and she was finally honest when an audience member asked about their current relationship. After the reading, Pauline was telling off Charles about how he was blind to her needs before she left. Liza was standing right there, and Charles said something like, “yes I know now I have been blind to many things” while staring right at Liza. Pauline gets a look of realization on her face and storms off. So we know she knows, but have no idea exactly what or how much she knows. So assuming Liza had not attempted to explain things to her before the meeting, all the things she said could maybe make sense...in Pauline’e head at least. So for me it was not a shock that Pauline knew. It was a little odd that it seemed neither Liza or Charles had explained their actual timeline to her, but she is pretty tough to talk to, so maybe they tried.
  7. I’m not buying that Diana did not pick up on the subtext and daggers going on between Liza and Pauline right in front of her. She’s way too smart for that, and even had to tell Liza to stop rewriting Pauline’s story. Hell, even Tara (sorry, no idea what her Younger character’s name is) should have figured out what was going on. Assistant?! Come on.
  8. I wonder if production tested that puzzle like they do with Survivor comps to see how easy/difficult it would be to complete in 2.5 minutes. Of course none of the interns were doing it under pressure and with spirit guides’ voices in their heads.
  9. Whatever she was doing with his arm was weird. But hand job or not, girl has some major issues. How she thinks acting like that with a long term boyfriend is okay, I have no idea.
  10. I’m so glad to hear Haleigh is standing up for herself! True with Caleb. And then he was rewarded with another show! But that was before Me Too. I guess I’d think/hope in this climate they’d do more. But duh, it’s still Big Brother. And maybe sounds like Haleigh doesn’t need their help anyway.
  11. To paraphrase Kaitlin, hearing that literally makes me feel physically sick. The DR needs to be calling Faysal in for some serious sensitivity training ASAP. This is a very dangerous precedent to allow and even though I normally hate production interference, I hate what he is doing even more.
  12. So close @Phebemarie, but not quite. I feel like she was in more recent movie. Definitely in the same vein though. Thank you for trying. It’s on the tip of my tongue. I’ll update if I figure it out! She looks a little like Katherine Langford with a voice a little like Juliette Lewis. @CelticBlackCat, I can’t figure out Jolene either.
  13. Random question I’m not sure where else to place. The actress playing Sasha is reminding me of another actress with similar looks and a very similar voice and speech pattern. It’s bugging me so much that I can’t place who it is. Does anyone know of a lookalike actress out there for her?
  14. In real life the actress was in the Tony winning play The Humans on Broadway and is normally sized. And a wonderful actress. :) I always worry about how the child stars who had to play ugly or unattractive fare all grown up, ala Tracy Gold. I was pleasantly surprised to have that “I know her!” moment when I saw this show.
  15. Except Melchior’s Mom. She’s pretty cool, although maybe should have take Moritz’s veiled threat more seriously.
  16. I’m not sure where the correct place to update on everyone’s (least) favorite repeat Dateline subject might be, so I’ll leave this here. I haven’t read the questions, but I certainly wish they’d make her answer them. http://via.fox2now.com/wpjnY
  17. I saw JCS at The Muny in St Louis last summer (with Constantine Maroulis as Judas) and they did this scene the same way, showing the cameraman’s perspective on a large screen on stage. It was a great way to see the actors’ faces up close, which is very difficult in that enormous amphitheater. I was surprised and happy to see it used for this production, as well.
  18. My daughter has asthma, and when she’s had attacks she has not had enough breath to walk far distances and ask for help in a normal sounding voice. Her hospital admissions were also longer than 12 hours. But I’m sure everyone is different...
  19. I’m feeling the same. Early in the series she was pro-poly (wanted to be a third wife iirc) but as she acclimated more to mainstream life and college she felt differently. She seems more level-headed and less “drama” than her sisters and I really thought she had a decent future, especially after having a front row seat to the unhealthy ridiculousness of the past few years. It seems like all it took was one guy to remind her of her childhood (which it seems like all of the older kids have fond memories of) and sweep her off her feet and there she goes, back into polyworld. I think she may be more religious than the others, too, so I’m guessing that plays a part. It’s dumb to get invested, but it does make me sad for her future.
  20. I’m thinking Janelle misspoke, or more likely, misunderstood the “practical” part of what Maddie is actually studying, LPN, and turned it into nurse practitioner. She probably has no idea what a huge difference there is between them.
  21. That’s just rumored cast, I seriously doubt many of those people would ever consider this. Others probably had their agents on the phone with CBS as soon as they announced a celeb edition was in the works NPH does not fit in with that list at all, to me.
  22. Juelia (my phone did not want to accept that as a word) has moved on to Evan's brother now. Think they have date nights watching her on Marriage Boot Camp?
  23. I'm guessing she just couldn't get her hands on much of the recently released LLR "Elegant Collection." The couple sellers I know were posting about the hours they spent trying to reserve anything they could for their customers. Just seems something Meri would make an overly dramatic post about.
  24. They went to San Diego for the winter. It was kind of amazing how Elizabeth used his tricks against him to convince him to go back to SLC in the spring. And their arrival back happened exactly when there was tons of media coverage again with the kidnappers' names and photos everywhere, which definitely helped her get discovered pretty much as soon as they got back in town. I'm in awe of her after watching this special. What a remarkable, strong, humble woman.
