Maybe we are getting closer to gender equality but in the bad direction because there was a bunch of talk about Patton Oswalt, including multiple people speculating he murdered his wife. The fact that she was so beloved in the true crime community probably contributed to this but it was brought up various places.

I was listening to a podcast with the head of NBC’s Olympic coverage and this is actually a specific choice they are making to increase the audio mix of things like that or the grinding of the skateboards, the bodies of gymnasts interacting with the apparatus, the sound of the water, etc. to make up for the lack of crowd noise, so it’s not really the shoes fault!

You can see “the switchback” road at the back of their house on Google maps and her story makes even less sense.

I don’t know much about Lorde other than a few of her songs but I thought she was absolutely charming.I also really liked the space they filmed in.

I think this becomes an issue for most designers that are on tv, not that I would call either of them designers, they want to create a sort of streamlined look to solidify a brand and it usually ends up just being boring and repetitive.

I don’t know her relationship with her father but her thesis was about the importance of involving low income parents in their children’s education. That isn’t to say that I don’t agree with you that writing a thesis doesn’t indicate someone is a writer!

I wonder what the medium was alluding to when she said her father had done something bad he was apologizing for. It made it sound more than his leaving when she was so young. I mean I don’t believe in mediums but I imagine abandoning your family is something one should apologize for.
