  1. Incest is having sex with a blood relative. Maddie is not related to Luke, so Rayna's family is not incestous. It may be attention Maddie doesn't want, and she wouldn't want to date someone she lives with part-time, but there is no incest here. I'm tired of the Juliette/Avery drama and I think Luke is jealous of any media attention Rayna gets.
  2. None of the sex scenes were about love (excluding Tig and Venus), and including Juice and Marilyn Manson in the montage was just gross. Rat has a girlfriend, Jax just lost his wife, Chibs and Althea are abusive to each other, and I didn't need to see Gemma transform into hooker of the week with Jax. Just Eww. I was hoping for a minute that Juice would use his shiv to kill MM, but instead he is doing lines while Manson reads from Jane Austen. Ok, like I believe a white supremist like him can even read. I do like Venus, but every time I see Tig I think about him bragging about screwing dead bodies and I want more that a psycho for Venus. I'm usually the one complaining about Abel, but this is how I saw it. Abel heard his grandma say something about hurting his mommy. Abel is confused by his mommy's death, Bobby's death, leaving his home etc and hurts himself for attention. He mentions Grandma because he is somehow mad at her without knowing why. I was pretty sure Abel would say something to someone about this, but I'm sure Jax won't believe it right away. I was relieved that Gemma didn't start beating the assistant principal and child protective worker, because that is her usual response to everything.
  3. I had a feeling the thing with Adam suddenly drinking shots before the shoot was totally made up for drama. Yes we have seen him drinking, but this is the first time we heard that he drinks several shots before the shoot. Tyra needs to find a public service announcement every season. I still can't stand Yu or Kelly and the scores the judges give are so random that they might as well pull names out of the hat. To me most of the shots look pretty good and it would be up to the client to pick the one they want. It still wouldn't mean the models don't care or are useless.
  4. It seems odd that Carol is saying thank you and Daryl is acting like he is doing something for her, rather than being upset himself.
  5. I don't care if they stick with the comics or not; I care that the story makes sense within the TV show, and that we are shown things during the episodes instead of having to get explanations from the Talking Dead or from people who have read the comics. The problem with doing things exactly like the comics, is that doesn't always translate well to TV. We should be able to figure things out without additional material.
  6. I couldn't see what they were looking at in the distance either, even on my HD TV. The episode is better than I thought it would be, but with only 3 episodes remaining, I want to see Rick and his crew. Abraham seems like a smart guy, why hasn't he figured out that Eugene is constantly sabotaging them? I also think Eugene acts so strange, I could never imagine him working in a lab, writing scientific papers, etc. I also had to watch TTD to find out Abraham's deal and once again I don't like the explanation: because this is what happened in the comic book. Everything on the TV show needs to stand on its own at this point. Many of us have not read and will never read the comic books. I didn't understand why he was beating the man to death, nor why his wife and kids would run out the door when I'm sure they knew there were walkers.
  7. How old is that Ingrid girl? She kind of freaks me out because she has a face and speaking style of an adult on the body of a ten year old. I also think these kids don't need so many twists-they have more twists than the adults on PR. They also shouldn't have aired the sad story of the girl dealing with her parents divorce-she doesn't understand it now, but having this personal stuff aired will embarrass her in the future.
  8. Sadly, it seems like the judges no longer like any kind of beautiful gowns or couture in general. The past few seasons, they have favored urban grunge/street wear above all else. I realize Sean just won with his fringe gowns, but I don't see the judges liking the typical gowns of Chris March, Laura Bennett or Michael Costello (all of which I loved).
  9. DVR came across as unpleasant in this, and that's probably not what she wants. It seemed like she was judging the girls based on them ratting each other out and that hardly seems professional. I also didn't like her immediately telling the girl from Jersey she had to get rid of her accent-Diane has an accent herself. It's like she claims to want a diverse group but not really. The tasks at the awards ceremony didn't seem equal either.
  10. I just re watched Chris March's season and they did have some one day challenges. I like Chris but he doesn't seem real energetic. I loved Justin's dress and I think designers should have some similarities in their designs. I didn't like Alexandra's at all and it looked like a hazard. Throwing a piece of fence around a model doesn't make it fashion. I wasn't too fond of Jay's, it still looked like a tarp to me. My favorites were Justin, Fabio and Gunnar.
  11. I also thought the mystery guy looked around thirty and no one is walking around in street clothes right after a liver transplant. I thought maybe he was a twin or something. And why did he lead a blind girl into an elevator with her not knowing what was going on? Also it appeared that a nurse or medical professional was teaching school in the hospital. Outside of Kara, none of these kids should be here and they should all be in regular school.
  12. This episode perked things up a bit for me, even though I still can't stand Elsa or her singing (love JL though). Dandy continues to be the best character although I could do without the sawing of a live human (and what a waste of a handsome specimen). Hope this was a one time thing and they are not going to play out a gay bashing angle with Dandy because we don't need another side story. Bette and Dot are still boring and I wish they would find an interesting story for the freaks. Evan Peters was wasted last season and they need for him to do more than try to have sex with anything that moves. And I love Ma Pettit and also feel guilty in thinking she is so adorable because I know she is an adult.
  13. The after show was terrible and Mark Boone Jr. looked drunk. Don't bother with the after show if you can't provide something interesting. As for the show itself: Mr. Maddingcrowd is a police officer and I asked him why we never did it on his police car in a public parking garage :). Didn't understand that scene at all and I didn't see anything planted on Chibs but maybe I averted my eyes and missed it. Jax was just plain stupid to have Marks arrested. His henchman are still on the loose and can get back at Jax at any time. I also think Marks would have a smart attorney on hand who could get him out pretty quickly. Still not sure where they are going with Abel. There is a difference between a child seeing a dead grandparent and understanding the person was old and in pain, and seeing a bloody, partially dismembered body on a picnic bench. I'm sure Abel knows something is very wrong in his life, but he wouldn't know what exactly. I'm actually glad they said he was five years old. I have read speculation that he was 2 or 3 and that just wouldn't be possible with what has happened. Thomas should be at least 2 also. Clay was still around when Thomas was starting to look like a 1 year old and he has been gone for awhile even in TV show time. I hate Unser but I would like it if he rats the club out in the end. Mr. Maddingcrowd is really tired of all the bad cops and wants someone to find a way to get to Gemma. I also want the next person she slaps or threatens to say "You're a 58 year old grandma, not afraid of you" and kick her ass. I know, I know, but a girl can dream.
  14. I kept thinking a kid with a fever of 102 probably has chills and feels lousy, he should be home in bed under the covers. I have never taken a kid with a fever anywhere but the doctor. I liked Rhonda last season, but her baby voice, really careful way of speaking, and constant worry is really getting to me. Paulie looks depressed and Robyn cries every day. Only like Nonie at this point.
  15. I think if you back over history, the sane leaders far, far outnumber the insane ones. And these were police officers, who were trained to deal with life and death situations. Obviously no one can be prepared for the ZA, but to enslave other humans takes a special brand of crazy, especially since they clearly had food and shelter and only needed the slaves for ironing and other useless jobs.
  16. I was expecting something way more creepy and that it would somehow tie into the funeral home. It makes no sense to me that these people would go on long scouting expeditions to find people to save when they clearly didn't like people or care that they recovered. If they made it more clear that they were seeking out young women so the male police officers could rape them, it would make more sense. Obviously it would be dangerous to go out searching and we are supposed to believe they go miles and miles away just to have more "staff"? Nothing about it makes sense to me. I don't blame Beth for wanting out pretty early on. If I woke up somewhere and was immediately threatened in more ways than one, I would be looking for the door. Emily's acting didn't bother me in the episode, but the storyline did. I did like the scene when Beth and Noah were in the basement because it reminded me of a haunted house I saw advertised for Halloween. And I suppose this is an unpopular opinion, but I continue to think that the majority of people in a ZA would not be power hungry psycho/s but normal people who would be wary of outsiders and protective of their group, but without master plans for world domination.
  17. The only songs I've downloaded from the show have been the duets between Scarlet and Gunnar. One of the more mystifying things is that the show has done nothing to bring them together. Not only did they bring in Zoe, they are dragging in an ex-girlfriend and child to keep them apart. Scarlet has the prettiest voice on the show (IMO), and it feels like they are edging her out of the story.
  18. When I saw the clips of Sandyha, I saw a bunch of designers joking and talking and Sandyha being completely silent. It is hard to fit in a group if you don't contribute. I'm guessing it was because she either didn't catch the cultural context or slang or perhaps they talked too fast for her to follow. Throughout the season I saw zero examples of her trying to fit in. It's not really anyone's fault. And her clothes were very odd, so I wasn't surprised to hear people didn't like them.
  19. Jimmy Smits is such a strong actor, I can't understand why he is being used as Unser Jr. on this show. In the last few episodes, he has done almost nothing but stand around in grandpa sweaters awaiting Gemma's biding. And speaking of Unser, why is still being shoved in our faces? He is completely useless in every way and like Chuckie and now Nero, he exists only as an errand boy for Gemma. I don"t know where they are going with Abel but it would have made much more sense for him to hear the word accident and say "Grandma had an accident with mommy" or something which would reflect what he heard. Kids can say smart comments but at his age he would have no way of know that Gemma is lying about it being an 'accident'. After all, he wasn't there when Gemma killed Tara, so the comment Do you know what it means? is just silly .
  20. I think that Rayna is being smart at not letting her career become Mrs. Luke Wheeler. Women in the music business have to fight harder than men in many cases (Taylor Swift being an exception). She is walking a line between wanting to still be successful, promote her own record label and still be Luke's fiancee.(And I am only talking about her career here-I still believe women can work and be devoted parents and that her girls adore her). Luke is showing he is not too willing to let her continue to be successful on her own terms and I believe Rayna is going to figure it out. I don't know what they are doing with Sadie. She seems on the level but they had that shot of her quickly closing her laptop. FWIW, I imagine many stars of all genres celebrate nominations with a mimosa or a glass of champagne, I don't think this means Rayna has any sort of drinking problem.
  21. There is no way Elsa could have survived her legs being cut off with a chain saw. The blood loss and shock would have caused her death within minutes, there are large arteries in the legs. I love Jessica in general, but every time she is on I am bored. I don't like her accent, her flashbacks or her singing. I love scary or at least suspenseful shows, but don't feel either with this season. Twisty was cool when he was just a murderous clown, but I can't feel sorry for him and be scared. Dandy will eventually kill one of the freaks and be turned into one himself (don't know any spoilers, just guessing) and I think this whole season will end up being an odd mashup of Marlene Dietrich and the movie Freaks.
  22. I didn't see Rayna doing anything wrong. She flew home immediately when her daughter needed her to. Working moms do love their children, there is nothing hypocritical about loving your children and working. Teenagers act out too. I am home every night with my teen and the one night I went to a funeral out of town, he threw a party. I didn't get the idea that Maddie wont' be punished either-the nanny is for Daphne so she doesn't have to tag along. I also don't agree that Teddy comes out on top here. He left his young daughter so he could spend the evening with an escort and is even calling her again. He could have hired a babysitter. And when Jeff told him a professional escort is the way to go because they are so discreet, I had to roll my eyes. We all know blackmail is coming. Never liked Layla, but for the first time tonight I get it that she is really in love with Will and that is why she is acting out so much. I'm sure this kind of thing happens and I kind of felt sorry for her tonight. I never get why Juliette is so wonderful and Rayna so bad when I think they are kind of the same. They both understandably, want their careers to flourish and their personal lives too. On another note: I got to meet Jonathan Jackson last weekend at a concert and meet and greet at a bar in Wisconsin. He was very tiny and very polite to the fans!
  23. So Abel's school can't reach either of his guardians and a teacher gets threatend by Abel's grandma and they don't call CPS? And Abel is too young to ask Gemma an ironic question. Nero no longer has any purpose but waiting around to die. Once again Jax does something really stupid, but at least Chibs is figuring out their leader is nuts. It seemed like half the show was commercials tonight, it was rough watching it live.
  24. I don"t feel a shred of remorse for the Termites, but I still want Rick to be a human being. Surrendering completely to a feral mindset would come between his relationship with his kids. I don't mind Tyrese either, there are all kinds of people in the world. I know some people would like to just kill and eat, kill and eat until they were the last man standing, but to me a life with out human contact and emotion is not worth living. I understand Rick's rage at what the Termites were doing, but for his own sake, I hope he can come back to who he was. I have more interest in Beth than the three comic book people and I would rather follow her story than theirs. Nothing about Eugene and Abraham makes any sense to me, and why two smart people like Glen and Maggie would go with them is quite puzzling. If nothing else, Beth's story will bring in a new element. Sadly, I also think Carol will die trying to save Beth. Carol's story is kind of done and while I would love to see how her and Daryl continue to care for each other and have each other's backs, there are too many characters now and new ones coming all the time. Unless they have something new for Father Gabriel to do, he can go to. I still don't believe his congregation couldn't break through, can't believe that a man that terrified ventured into houses to scavenge, and don't believe anything about him.
  25. I didn't think Slash had much to say either. MLR's comment about a flashback was just silly. Why in the world would they have a pre ZA flashback about Beth now? The Gareth actor was trying too hard to be intellectual about the whole thing. At least they asked some interesting questions.
