I agree the business should have vetted Jingle...but it’s really partly due to the Duggars bullshitting the public via TLC for all these years. The hateful, draconian parts of their faith were covered over with a thick layer of supposedly wholesome fun family values. Now RFP and by extension Jinger are doing the same thing. I am glad they fired whatever marketing company hooked them up with Jinger. A big part of this is on them, too.

The Duggars are on public record as being anti-LGBTQ. Jinger’s husband is “working” for and representing a male-only ministry that is on public record as blaming women being in power for the world’s ills. They don’t get it both ways; they grift by the brand and they’re judged by the brand. Tough fronuts.

But I could see Derick deciding his godliness and work in Nepal would make a book...and I can also see him hinting that the book will have “Duggar secrets” that’ll turn out to be recipes involving canned soup and tater tots.

He probably thinks that song IS about him... Right now Prop is Gramable, makes him look good and doesn’t take up too much of Jinger’s time so she’s free to gaze adoringly at her headship. Two kids? Borderline. Any more than two and RFP gets demoted out of the spotlight. I don’t see him signing up for that.

This is the problem with TLC helping these people pretend their faith is all golly gee whiz wholesome family goodness when in fact it’s a toxic anti-LBTQ, anti-female white-male-dominated cult. All people see are lotsa babies, hi y’alls and hyuk hyuks. It’s a complete facade and if it takes the Duggars getting outed when they step out in the real world for people to catch on, I am completely okay with that.

On behalf of sick people everywhere, thank the gods she’s out of the ICU. Supposedly, RFP has some kind of job with the church associated with the seminary school he’s supposedly attending. Other than photos of the various freebies he’s caged and a supposed “at work” photo he passed off on the day after Thanksgiving that was from months ago, there is zero evidence that he does squat except groom, pose, play with the baby and eat out.

I wonder if Jinger is only getting a cut of sales that night. They’re pretty clueless if they’re paying her an appearance fee.

I am trying to envision the target audience for this. Jinger’s fan base in LA can’t be all that numerous...she’s a fundie mom. People who are on low-rent reality television shows are a dime a dozen, so just the “celebrity” factor isn’t much. Apparently there are high-end Christians in that area, so I’ve been informed, but I would think they’d have their own charities, their own spa makeup consultants and manicurists, and would never touch a doughnut? Peculiar.

So...questions... 1) Jinger is going to speak at this thing? As in, give a presentation? Without her headship? With words? Or is she just handing out doughnuts? 2) Exactly how do they reconcile Scientology with whatever twisted mashup of Gothard/Calvinist/Dollar Store/Glamism that Jingle might have to “offer”?
