  1. Yes, this! I agree that Isaac and Lincoln will probably both end up resenting her in the long run. Do y'all think she'd have less issues if she had had two daughters, or would it be the same?
  2. I remember the "Super Ken Pursuit" episode! I was cool, very cool, on Ken before that, but he earned by undying respect for that chase.
  3. I checked out the Yummy site and I think I might be too big in the waist right now to buy the jeans, but it's a goal! I want allll the Yummies.
  4. Same here. It was also before the "selfie" era, when you'd go to a party and forget to bring the camera.
  5. After reading all the previous comments, I'm reluctant to say it, but ... I laughed out loud during Hank's "confession." I don't buy it for a minute, from asking some randoms in a parking lot for weed to all the rest of it. With all this time, he could have come up with something more compelling than this. IMO, YMMV and all that. Somehow, the repellent Mike, aka "The Situation" from Jersey Shore, is the most likable person on the show for me. Seems like a genuine person to me, which is shocking.
  6. I had a great mother and upbringing, but we ate Chef Boyardee and other canned food on the regular. Then again, I'm old and there was no Whole Foods and health food movement back then. What was galling and inexcusable was the time of night. No possible excuses for that chaos, even on a weekend, let alone a school night. I'm glad the editors shamed her by continually showing the clock. They probably wanted to hurry up and finish filming already! Literal LOL.
  7. When they show the pets, it terrifies and infuriates me. Then I remember these people have children, too. I was shocked that Jenelle even bothered to get Kaiser out of the car when she went back inside. All the best to you, Mkay.
  8. IMO, those leading questions are practically a form of child abuse. I hate those "yes or no" questions.
  9. In addition to Beth acknowledging to her therapist that she's only seen him for filming, she was never "homeless" as she also owns a home in the Hamptons. I see the fake therapy session as a retcon so she could say she now approved of the other women. Her lie about being "alone" is probably the single aspect of Bethenny that bothers me most of the whole season, and that's really saying something. In this episode, Carole referred to Carolyn as a "close friend." I know she's also referred to her as a best friend. That's either true or in the eye of the beholder. I'm glad to see that Heather also has a close off-screen friendship with Kristen. Wish they'd shown more of that.
  10. The way I see it is that someone has to play the role of the "straight (wo)man" to set off all the craziness of the rest of them. As for her facial expressions, I just think we're not used to seeing un-Botoxed Housewives that can still move their faces, LOL!
  11. And invoking her child!! Damn right, she was owed an apology. Heather has been so gracious this season.
  12. Watched it for the second time the other day and still can't figure it out. I know tons of people who drive stoned with no effects, and she was used to smoking. The equivalent of 10 drinks in one morning just doesn't make sense. The motivation will remain a mystery forever. IIRC, Ambien was on the list of meds she had been prescribed in the past. I used to have a script, and would take it and stay awake. I loved it but it made me binge eat, so I quit. But I'd never, ever drive on that shit, the same way I wouldn't drive on anything that makes you high. Ambien in the morning makes no sense either. What the hell happened?* *And PS to her husband and SIL, no an abcessed tooth four years ago did not cause this.
  13. Entrapment! Did I mention entrapment?! Those guys were planning that job because they were dirt poor and the informant was offering them $250,000. That's it. One of the four was a nominal Muslim, the other three weren't even religious. The main one made it clear that even with the quarter million, he wanted to make sure no people were harmed. This was a travesty, but no one will care because they were black men.
  14. Heartbreaking. I recommend it to every American, but keep your Kleenex handy.
  15. Love documentaries (and thank you SO MUCH for reviewing them, Sarah!), but this sounds like a "pass" for me. The institutionalism aspect would be very compelling but even as an art lover, that part of it doesn't sound as interesting.
  16. In real life? Sadly, yes. I was laughing over Nev's crush on Prophet. The way he "danced" entering the door, the rapping, getting all fan-girl over his music and even his shoes. Nev is such a dork, but I like him just the same.
  17. Is the show diverting from its real-life counterparts? Jamal = Sadaam Hussein ("gassed his own people"), Caliphate = ISIS, but is the 3rd party with Bassam a fictional story-telling device. They've retconned the character of Ahmed, IMO, to become more likable and not the worthless boob he was in Season 1. And even moreso, the freedom fighter Ihab Rashid is now suddenly OK with the even worse tactics of the Caliphate? They seem like they stand for everything he used to be against. Also, I thought Abdul was the one who got shot in the head during the assassination attempt on Jamal? I enjoy this Middle Eastern soap opera, but I'm confuzzled, LOL.
  18. I've enjoyed this realness, except at the beginning of the season when Bethenny butted in and informed them that they should "rebrand death." What a fucking thoughtless thing to say to two widows.
  19. I use CC. It comes in handy on these shows. Heather continues to take the high road in her blog, and devotes a nice paragraph for Smile Train. She addresses the general confusion on how Dorinda wasn't happy with how she accepted Dorinda's apology: "To this day, I am not sure when I became condescending or judgmental, and I’ve never been condensing to her. So it was with caution that I accepted Dorinda’s apology, and that’s what you see written all over my face. No airs. There’s really nothing I can do about Dorinda’s attitude towards me, because it seems to be in constant flux and just a rollercoaster of emotions. Even apologies are a place to be criticized. Upon further reflection, I’ve concluded that Dorinda is actually playing the judge, the preacher, and the jury, and so she’s taught me to proceed with caution." She also seems to address the way her life has been excluded from the season: "You haven’t gotten to see much of my personal life this season but a peek...We celebrated a landmark for our family with Jax turning 10, and Josh and Kristen pulled out all the stops. I wish you could have gotten to see Jax’s whole birthday party with his little sis Ella and the gang--it was very special and lots of fun. And those Taekman kids?! Well, yum!"
  20. I was confounded by Dorinduh not being happy with how Heather graciously *accepted* her apology! Dorinduh admits she was an asshole on two occasions, which she was, and Heather takes the high road by replying (paraphrasing), "OK. Done. Say no more." Without rehashing or making Dorinduh explain over and over again. And yet that's still not enough for her. WTF?
  21. And the Bethenny redemption arc is complete! Dr. Amador gives her the opening to say that she now bestows her acceptance upon her lowly coworkers, and then she does a newly filmed TH saying that these women have her seal of approval. Not to mention the plug for SkinnyGirl in which, after admitting there's been a "lull," that she just knows it's going to go the right way again! I get it, Bravo. So can you finally give her the Heather "disappearing treatment" now?
  22. Dag ... Bravo must have decided that LuAnn's "don't be uncool" moment didn't go over so well with the viewers after the fact, because she was totally excluded from this episode, other than the mortifying pirate flashback.
  23. I know, but it's still a legit connection, and unlike Sonja, she could name drop and say for real, "I partied with John John on his yacht!"
  24. I know Carole has been perceived by many as a SATC wanna-be this season, but it struck me tonight how she could rightfully be "Kennedy, Kennedy, Kennedy" and "my husband died," trotting it out for snob value and pulling the sympathy card in every single episode if she wanted. And yet she's never used it as a ploy, unlike Bethenny who continually harps on her childhood as an excuse for her general shittiness.
