  1. That caption seems like bullshit. There are so many plot/character reasons to get rid of Laurel, they don't need to air dirty linen in public even if it was true. They could just trot out the old "We needed a big name to bite the dust" or "The show is going in a different direction" or "Her story had run its course" bla bla. Of course I think her story had run its course in episode 2 of season 1, but better late than never I suppose. But yeah, that caption. Nah.
  2. Not gonna lie, looked at those pics and thought "holy shit, they are really doing it". Notwithstanding that the show might be deliberately throwing people off, what's the chance of the pic taker/releaser deliberately throwing people off?
  3. Progressive would have been leaving her in the wheelchair and then going through some of the issues that chair-bound people go through. Although given how they treat other issues, perhaps we should be grateful that they didn't.
  4. Pretty sure that was the tagline used for the follow-up to The Human Centipede.
  5. Ha, loved that ep - who can go past Ollie in drag? As for wedding hallucinations, some of us are still getting over Angel's 'perfect' wedding dream when Buffy went up in flames.
  6. So that trailer is really weird - repeated "Beyond the wall" mumblings and then a lot of weird sci-fi combined with sexytimes between Tris and Four. Are they trying to get people to watch or have they given up?
  7. Not surprising that all the top-listed shows are the ones that get snapped up by cable/satellite companies overseas who charge $80/month for a subscription and then wonder why people would rather pirate than pay them.
  8. Loved it, start to finish, and glad I'm not the only one who was bawling like a baby. The interaction between Peter Capaldi and Alex Kingston was superb. When she was telling the blue dude that while she loved the Doctor he couldn't really love anyone, her emotion and the reactions on 12's face, and then her dawning realisation and "Hello, sweetie.". I'm getting teary-eyed just thinking about it. Given that nights on Dirillium last 24 years, is it too much to hope that she'll continue to show up for the odd guest appearance? (And also can they not download her from the library thingo? That would work too).
  9. Sounds like a bit of a reach, like you said it's much more likely that they're just trying to make her tolerable.
  10. Yeah I'm looking forward to LoT but it's mostly cos of Sara. If she goes it would take a lot to keep me watching.
  11. Trying not to get my hype levels up, but that looks freaking awesome. The Arrow EPs must be spitting blood that they had to give over Sara for Buckles.
  12. Yeah, she should say to them "Look, I like to party and get drunk - no matter how much I yell at you tomorrow, make sure I get up and to my first appointment". Get her to put it in writing if necessary so no-one gets in trouble.. To be fair, I think JB is in a category of his own. James Marsters told a story of where, when guesting on Torchwood, he watched in astonishment as JB ran in, grabbed the boobs of one of the lead actresses (can't remember which one), then ran off cackling. James approached the actress later and told her that she had a witness if she wanted to pursue a claim of sexual harrassment - and she looked at him as if he was mad.
  13. Darhk has seen the Van Dyke future and it's all a convoluted plot to kill off Oliver before the worst happens?
  14. I'm a terrible person, but every time I read the words "GA fighting alongside BC" my brain sees "GA fighting alongside BC's stunt double".
  15. Agreed - they might try and use it for a red herring though. My vote for next to show up at the grave? Donna - and Dinah. That'll put the cat among the pigeons...
  16. Heck 'Constantine' was trending in Australia when I got up an hour ago. I don't know if it aired last night on satellite/cable or if our reputation for being the world's most prolific pirates just got another boost.
  17. I'm totally on board with it being Laurel. I am loathe for another woman to die on this show though, so here's my whacked-out ideal theory. Laurel does go to some other dimension/place where she won't come back from (q.v. Rose on Dr Who), they have to have a grave for appearance's sake, it's why Oliver is upset but not that upset - he knows that Laurel is alive in another dimension as BC even if he's unlikely to see her again. I know, totally in left field, but the show has been straying further from reality, and I'd much rather keep PB on the show than KC.
  18. Do not mention the A word - I still have Lois and Clark-related nightmares! (Still at least I doubt Felicity will be cloned so there's that)
  19. With Laurel's back to the camera constantly, I imagine.
  20. Emily is one of those actresses who has a good 'period' look about her. I don't know how to explain it, but IMO some people 'fit' into the past better than others. It's weird. Maybe it's just about their personal style/body/face shape matching the fashions of the time. And now I want a show with EBR and Hayley Atwell. Make it happen, universe.
  21. Article in the Guardian website (front page status!): http://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2015/oct/13/how-miss-fishers-mysteries-conquered-america Mention of the movie but no mention of a S4.
  22. Unfortunately that seems to be somewhat par for the course for writing on this show - ignore the fact that characters may have a genuine reason to do something/act a certain way, but instead have them do it because reasons. Quentin would (justifiably) go batshit at Oliver if he knew that Malcolm had effectively killed his daughter and that Oliver had let Malcolm run around free (because...well I'm still not sure why). Instead he's mad at Oliver because bad people exist? Whatever, Quentin. I hope that Paul Blackthorne gets a better show. Laurel and her path to Buckles is another. They had a built-in reason with both CNRI and Tommy and ignored both.
  23. Re: preview comic. I like how the artist realised that the buckles on Laurel's costume are ridiculous and didn't draw them.
