Congratulations to Jon! I want to go to a Colbert taping just to watch Jon perform. When the show comes back from the commercial breaks, the band always looks like they are on fire. A friend of mine saw Jon perform about 4 years ago in New Orleans and she told me it was the most amazing concert she ever attended.

Yes, its' very disturbing. The one thing I wondered about in Dopesick was if they were really considering selling Oxy to kids. That sent chills down my spine. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if it were true.

There's an excellent multi-part documentary on HBO called "Crime of Century" which reports on the opioid crisis, particularly Purdue's role in it. I consider the Sackler family mass murderers who should be in prison. I'll have to check out Keaton in Clean and Sober.

The performances are fantastic. I cried like a baby at the end of episode 7. I knew it was coming, but it still hurt like hell. I appreciate how the parents were written. They could have easily been one note characters, instead they were written like real people with nuance who were struggling to make sense of their situation. I know people whose children have heroin addictions and it's absolutely heartbreaking. The writing for the parents nailed it.

I just finished season 1 and I am hate watching this show. There is no one to root for except for Monica's grandfather. What an awful bunch of people and terrible parents.

My mother became addicted to Percocet back in the 1980s. She didn't even know she was addicted. She had several prescriptions going at various pharmacy. Her doctors gave her prescriptions like it was nothing. In addition to Percocet, she was given Xanax and Halcyon by them. I know alot of doctors were duped by Purdue, but in my experience, over prescribing was an issue before Oxy.

That was disappointing. The only people I liked in the story were Isaac and his father. I know, his father was a dick, but at least he had some self awareness. The rest of them were either stupid (Billy), conniving (Grace and Lee), obsessed (Del), or selfish. I really didn't care what happened to any of them. I would add the old lady with the shot gun because she was kind of bad ass.

I recently completed watching season 2. When Ted talks about how leaders need to be honest, I immediately thought of Aaron Rodgers. It's so true. If you're in a leadership position, you have to be honest. It doesn't happen in real life.

This show is a bit of a Boardwalk Empire reunion with Bobby and Michael Shannon. They were two of the craziest characters on that show.

Wherever Frasier ends up in the reboot, there better be a Jack Russell terrier in the cast. Maybe Eddie's great, great, great grandson. Seriously, it won't feel the same without John Mahoney and Eddie.

I often wonder what would he do if he was told not to smoke pot because it endangered his life. I haven't watched in many months and turned in this week because the panel seemed interesting. I think I'm done for good with this show. Bill sits there with his smug, miserable face and is no fun at all.

I had two cousins die from Covid and they were both thin people. I know obesity is a problem and a serious health complication, but people like Bill seem to think people deserve to get sick because they are overweight. He was also very rude to the woman on the panel and I wondered if it was because of her weight.

One of the things I appreciate about this show is it shows what we deal with when we're aging. Sadly, losing friends and loved ones is part of that. It felt spot on as did Sandy's speech to his class about dying. Michael Douglas knocked it out of the park.

I can't stand Toby. I find him to be a smug smart ass. I'm glad Kate finds someone new.

In the Philly area and suburbs milk is in plastic containers. I live in the are and have never seen milk in bags.

It appears to the be set in the Delaware County suburbs of Philly. There are a lot of working class suburbs outside of Philly with high unemployment and opioid addiction.

I'm from Philly and I noticed that too. Some of the words were overexaggerated, but I'll give her a pass because it's Kate.

I stopped watching a while ago, but drop in on the forums to get the feedback. I could excuse Bill for being an entitled "whiny little bitch" if he were funny and made me laugh. He stopped doing that a couple of years ago. Nothing sadder than an aging, unfunny comedian.

I lost my mind when I saw the border collie. I had one many years ago and she was my doggie soul mate. I was relieved that she and the pups made it.

Penicillin was discovered in 1928 by a Scottish doctor. I was wondering why they didn't use penicillin. Maybe it wasn't in full use in the 1930s.
