  1. Damn, those are some ugly ass shoes. They look like the shoes Anne Hathaway wore in The Witches, which seems appropriate.
  2. Not totally wasted. We got to see Randall's abs and behind.
  3. The book is my favorite Stephen King novel and the 90s version was great too. I hate that these broadcast networks are putting their best shows on their streaming platforms when they can just broadcast them. I already pay for Netfix, Hulu, and HBOMax. I refuse to pay for another service.
  4. I always got the feeling that Diana and Charles were pretty much on the same page regarding their sons. They did not send them to that godawful school that Charles attended. I've seen pictures of the boys with their father, and they seem genuinely fond of him. I don't think Charles wanted them to grow up with the same loneliness that he did.
  5. I like Dave's humor, but the smoking onstage seems like an entitled douchebag move.
  6. I can't wait to watch Stephen tonight. He had a hard week like the rest of us. It will be nice to see him happy.
  7. The thing that impressed me the most was the costumes in the cold open. Joe and Kamala were on tv at 8:30 that evening and Jim and Maya were dressed almost exactly the same way. Joe's suit appeared to be black on my tv and Jim's looked blue, but other than that it was spot on. How do they do that in such a short amount of time? Did they know in advance what the would be wearing?
  8. It's wearing on me too. Please bring back Jason. Carey does the same schtick with every performance.
  9. I'm not feeling Jim Carey's Biden. I liked Jason Sudeikis's Biden better. Jim Carey always does Jim Carey. I noticed last week that he nailed Biden's voice at the beginning of the script then went into his own voice. Last week was a better written script. This week's not so much.
  10. I just watched the final episode and cried like a baby. Catherine O'Hara's little tremor in her voice when she was officiating made the tears flow. I'll miss the gang and hope they do an occasional special.
  11. That's the way I felt too.
  12. Netflix has Season 7 of Schitt's Creek listed on their schedule for October 7. I'm assuming they meant Season 6. This is per the list on Vulture.com.
  13. I hated the lethal injection subplot. LI was introduced until the 1970s. That was too much of a leap for me.
  14. It's funny. I was not a huge fan of the movie, but I am LOVING this series. I finished the first two seasons last night and cannot wait for season 3. And damn, Johnny Lawrence grew into a very attractive man.
  15. Trey Gowdy. Ugh! I can't stand that prick. His haircut makes him look like an actual prick. I had to fast forwarded through his segment or I would have gone Elvis on my TV.
  16. I've suffered with my weight most of my life. I've lost and gained more times than I can count. I think we should be discussing obesity in this country. I don't think anyone should be shamed because of how they look. Nor should the health consequences of obesity be ignored. My feeling about Bill is that he is uncomfortable around fat people. He doesn't care about their health. I wonder how he would feel if he needed to stop smoking weed because of his health.
  17. I had to turn it off today. They were continually showing the video of George Floyd's death. It felt exploitive and insensitive to his family.
  18. Honestly, I think Bill has an eating disorder. Who doesn't enjoy a nice meal? You can still eat healthy and have a decent meal. Doesn't he enjoy dinner with friends and family? Weird.
  19. I'm sick of that argument about herd immunity. Say, we can protect the elderly and vulnerable. (Although protecting the elderly inside nursing homes is not working out well.) The problem is that many people don't know if they have an underlying condition that makes them vulnerable and there have been young, healthy people that are getting very sick and sometimes dying. The other problem with that is that if you get a lot more people sick, the health system gets overwhelmed and possibly collapses. I'm through with Bill. He sounds like a cranky old man.
  20. Agreed. I don't know why he felt he needed to die on this particular hill when there is so many other issues going on.
  21. I feel like her acting style is the same in every role. She does those weird moves with her mouth. It's her fall back move. I am enjoying the show, but I wish Mia were more sympathetic. I didn't read the book so I don't know how the character was written.
  22. Same here. She was a really interesting guest. Chris Matthews is a terrible interviewer. He shouts over and interrupts his guests. I've noticed for years how differently he treats his female guests. I definitely got a misogynist vibe from him.
  23. Same here. I couldn't stand him the first season of BB, but by the end I was rooting for him to take down Walt.
  24. I know I'm in the minority, but I'm finding this season somewhat boring. The episodes feel like they are meandering and the writing seems off. I'm committed and will see the series through to the end. I'm hoping the pace picks up.
  25. This bugged me throughout the series. If his mother was born in 1945 and he was born in 1958, she would have given birth to him at 13. Sloppy writing.
