  1. I'm only to where she is about 7 (4 CDs in) and she has had it very rough. I'm waiting for her to say how she worked (or is still working) to overcome this horrendous beginning.
  2. Gosh, yes, some of those questions I would have asked and her answers do evoke the same sadness and frustration for her, with me. I wonder if any of this gets brought back to the powerful to address.
  3. I just started listening to Rosie P's book. She reads it so if her voice bothers you skip the audio version! I don't mind it. I'm only on the second disk and boy her life beginning at 3 years old is quite disturbing to me. She must have had some good therapy plus having a resilience of her own.
  4. The videos were very sweet. But to me they were colored by the "back story".
  5. Mr Lookeyloo and I are way out of the demographic for this show but have been watching from the beginning. All in all we thought this was one of their better shows. The sketches did not go on forever. Love crazy Kate.
  6. All the Good Will and other thrift stores around here have bins with bras/panties/socks. So maybe a regional situation?
  7. Well that didn't bother me at all. I thought it was kind of sweet. They (or at least she) seems to be a fan of the show.
  8. I've noticed that for some unknown reason Whoopi can read the prompter so much better lately. Maybe she is a bit more motivated? Also, got the impression that Rosie P was not all that enamoured with Kellie Pickler.
  9. Well I have made an anonymous comment on the blog. Asking if the pics are a Nike moment for their boys and what word do they use for the girls if they believe girls also have desires. I wonder if it will really show up or if they will block it. I also tweeted to @Jessaseewald saying I wonder how modest all this is. No response yet.
  10. I'm watching it. She seems real but subdued. I too miss the Rosie of old, but, am mostly enjoying the new panel. I was glad Whoopi woke up, but, now she is too awake! I hope they are still finding their groove and the show will settle in to be something mostly good.
  11. Just have to put my 2 cents in here - I grew up eating vegetables out of the can! The can was my mother's serving dish of choice. My father wanted red meat every night so we had that, and a salad, and a can of vegetables drained, and the can put on the table. When I got married and the new husband wanted these vegetables heated, I was surprised to say the least. But, now we eat them heated in a dish. My mother didn't like vegetables and we didn't know any different. My father was just happy with his "slab o' beef"
  12. I just watched the video, so thanks for posting that. Found the Parade article and enjoyed it. I have a thought in my own head that Ina is comforting and smells like Cashmere bouquet powder and I would like to lean in on her shoulder for a while. Not sure if this is how she is, but, I'm holding the thought! I have made her Middle Eastern Vegetable Salad. Yum. I'm not much for cooking but I do love her show.
  13. It just occurred to me that although Jana was doing all the work, just maybe, she really didn't mind all that much because it took her out of the chaos. The sewing machine ended up in the girls' bedroom and maybe she could just sit there by herself and do her sewing. In peace and quiet. "Leave Jana alone, she is making the wedding dresses". Just maybe? But I do think she needs rescuing.
  14. I was watching The Waltons (I know, sad, huh?) and Erin felt bad about something so decided to go "plain" to punish herself. Her mother finally said something to the effect that she was "prideful" because she was calling attention to herself. Something along the lines of "Look at me, I'm so plain". I immediately thought of the Duggars.
  15. Yes - I fast forward a lot. There have been a few good discussions and some guests I like interspersed with stupid games and silly stuff, not to mention the tearjerker segments. But I am still recording and thanks to the FF button, can get through the shows pretty fast! Well, I guess I don't know how to include a quote in a reply, so the second sentence is mine!!
  16. Has anyone watched Meredith's show? I've been mostly enjoying parts of it, with a lot of fast forwarding.
  17. riverblue22 - you sound just like us. Plus add in the buyer protections on most cards and it turns out to be a good thing, at least for us. I wonder if JB ever thought of that? I don't consider it debt because of the paying off every month.
  18. I posted a while back, but not sure on this thread, if anyone thought JB would put a bigger bed into the "guest quarters" for Jessa and Bin, but maybe he thinks since the rental house is so big, that the two couples could live there together? Creepy to me, but, the way his mind works...
  19. Does anyone think they will move a bigger bed into the "guest room"?
  20. As Louisianans who are not fans of Jindal, the Mr. and I were howling over that bit.
  21. One of the schools Ro mentioned was the Waldorf school. She mentioned another one, but I can't remember what it was.

  23. Just saw a video clip on people.com where Ben has moved I to the Duggar "guest house" and is doing odd jobs for JB.
  24. Very interesting stuff!!!
  25. http://www.frc.org/experts Here is what they have on their website. Don't see him listed, but I'm sure they have more people employed than this crew.
