  1. Gabri as a person on the show makes me smile. Gabri as a contestant makes me anxious. He has shown some brilliance, but most of the time it seems he's been the best of the worst. He's like the silent TC assassin picking off contestants one by one. So now, at this point, I kinda want him to absolutely crush it and take the whole darn thing. Ha! However, this is Buddha's to lose. I'd like an upset. Not because I don't think Buddha is deserving, but it is so predictable. I really wanted Ali to win. One question -- Buddha got to bring all his molds. What can chefs bring with them?
  2. I tried, but I'm done with the show. The leads have no chemistry. It moves at a glacial pace and I am bored. It takes a lot for me to abandon something, but I'm done. I watched the movie recently. The show had a lot to live up to -- Glenn Close was so perfectly unhinged, she and Michael Douglas had great chemistry, as did Douglas and Anne Archer. There was so much tension when Alex decided it wasn't going to be over. I think casting is part of the problem. I'm not seeing any spark.
  3. I'm still at a loss at what attracted one guy, let alone two, to propose to Micah. I've not heard her say one compelling thing. I don't get it. Paul kept saying they shared a similar view of the world. What is it exactly because we've heard squat from either one of them to tell us what that might be. She has this weird way of laughing, "like-ing," and "um-ing" her way through every conversation. She kept saying how much she loved Paul, but I don't get it at all. I didn't even find her that good looking, but I think part of that was the ugly mean-girl inside showing through on the outside. All that being said, just like her nasty BFF, I'm so glad things ended the way they did. ITA that she engineered it to be the victim. The running away and fake crying (I saw maybe on tear and that was probably from embarrassment of being rejected on TV and not from actually feeling bad about it) didn't feel at all authentic. Paul, you dodged a bullet. Interesting that he said he couldn't see her being a mom because she never saw a nurturing side to her. That's because she is all about herself. She can go home and hang out with her nasty-ass friends and bitch about how they never have any boyfriends because after seeing this, no guy is going to want to be in a relationship with her or her BFF. Looking forward to the reunion tonight. I hope all the married couples are still together.
  4. One thing I'm wondering... when the judges were walking through the kitchen Tom noticed that Gabri's mole looked like it was scorching. How scorched was it? Did Tom go into the tasting wondering if it would taste scorched and was really sensitized to it? No one else mentioned it. I am loving this season. This episode was really a good one. I also adore contestant Tom. There are very few chefs I don't like. I was sad to see Begona go.
  5. I found it entertaining. I'm not a plot nitpicker, so I just went with it.
  6. I liked how Micah shut down Irina so quickly.
  7. Guarantee Micah will not marry Paul b/c her basic friends don't like him. That's all the doubt she needs.
  8. ITA. Completely basic. I picture her in fall running around in her jeans, off-white sweater, knee-high boots and hat, drinking a pumpkin spice latte and putting pix on the 'gram with her besties... who all look alike.
  9. Me too! I replayed it for my daughter because it was so hilarious. She kept trying to one up him. "I knew on day 3 this wasn't going to work" "well I knew as soon as I saw you!" And what was with her saying she didn't want to list the things about him that bothered her, but then saying he shaved his arms and legs. Zack is creepy, but Irina is just mean and spiteful. Doubt she, or Micah, will have guys lining up to date them after this.
  10. Why did both Paul and Kwame totally fall for Micah? I saw absolutely nothing in their interactions that showed any connection, or any personality at all. Maybe it's because her whole mean girl vibe with Irina turned me off to her completely, but I didn't see anything there. I still don't.
  11. I think that is worse than the sex.
  12. I was sure that the last couple was winning $. I swear I heard it during the first show.
  13. I thought someone did -- the blonde woman who always wears her hair up. Think she was in the first cook off. I was sure Cassie was going to be in the bottom when she was so confident, but only grabbed sauces. That giant pile of fried rice that man bun served made me laugh. Nothing next level about that giant plate of food. Angry chef needs therapy. He's this/close to totally snapping. He already was kicking the elevator. He said he has a chip on his shoulder. I think it's the size of a boulder.
  14. That is an excellent point...and exactly why I will never be a reality show contestant.
  15. Cirie did play a masterful game, but it's not a game I want to play. Like Andie, I don't think I could get past the personal relationship part and the outright lying to my face. I didn't like it when Cirie lied to Andie, Quentin and Arie about their alliances on the showand I still didn't like it at the reunion. Left a bad taste in my mouth. I just don't think this is my type of show. I may watch if they have all newbies next season, but I don't want to watch another season with some reality show vets.
  16. My favorite part of the whole show is when Francesca was reeling Damian back in and she was jiggling and twerking in front of him in her teeny tiny bikini, and he's all "I just love it when Francesca shows her playful side." It was hilarious. She is a master manipulator. That is the only thing I will give her props for. Because aside from that, I find her to be completely vapid and self involved, and not a very nice person. This show was a mess, but it was a fun mess.
  17. During his 1:1 with Ariel he actually said that it was because he got to spend this time with her that he was able to further their relationship, or something to that effect... so, yes, Zach, 1:1 dates are an important part of the process.
  18. Thanks for sharing your perspective. It is always interesting for me to hear what others see on this show. I don't see dead eyes from Zach, I think he actually looks interested, but now I want to look closer. I do think something was left out of the Greer conversation. Greer was on my last nerve last night with all her whining, so I didn't mind that he snapped at her, but I want to listen to it again. Overall, I'm really enjoying this season. I really like Kaity. Not sure what he sees in Gabi. Sometimes she looks really good and other times her hair is so limp and 70s it drags her down. Glad Kylee (was that her name?) is gone and that Mercedes is too -- since I swear I hadn't even seen her before last week. We need to cull the herd.
  19. I actually rewatched this with my daughter because she didn't get to see it post-Superbowl. Something I noticed is that the team leaders weren't always so nice about their team members' dishes. The grit cake was one example, another was the "swimming in curry" comment and there was something about the meatballs. I think that if they are going to comment, they should find something nice to say or not say anything and just describe the dish.
  20. I'm not a fan of Cole. Zaneb was right to dump him... because they were a horrible pair. She took everything he said and turned it around on him. There were times when it was warranted, but other times it was not. He couldn't say anything without her misconstruing it. They were just a toxic match.
  21. I like the changes they've made regarding the levels they get to cook in.
  22. Bam! And just like that Zach soars to the top of my fave bachelors list. Buh-bye Christina.
  23. I was shocked that I actually liked Christina this week. She was perfect for the family party date and was eloquent when Briana was confronting her. Briana is an idiot and shit stirrer if she couldn't tell that Christina was joking with the "I hate you" comment. Also Briana -- own that you wore a red dress with roses on it on purpose. No shame in owning "America's" rose (um, not really America's choice, but rather a slice of bachelor nation). Loved how Zach didn't want to know the drama. There was NO reason for her to even bring it up. She needs to go. This franchise isn't made for her. I didn't like the bad bitch date. It was stupid. Being a bad bitch doesn't mean showing off your stripper pole moves. The judges sucked too. Why bring any of those women back? Zach responded well to the whole child revelation. It is a lot to take in. I'd like to know the backstory about her daughter too. I'm going to try to get through the season unspoiled. Let's see if I can this time.
