  1. Side note, in Night, by Elie Weisel, the last time he sees his young sister she has her red coat.
  2. Speaking of swamps, FPP just is a R. O. U. S. in disguise. (I knew I smelled a rat!)
  3. No one's name other than the birth mother's goes on a ultrasound.
  4. Maybe the zombies are like Oblivia. They like smoked meat.
  5. All together now: FPP!
  6. I've been waiting, ala Zombieland and a brief one in Revolution, to see a famous person show-up in the post disaster world. (It of course doesn't fit the tone, but I can still dream.) How in the world can there not be zombie famous people in LA?!? At least in the beginning.
  7. I thought it was a no-no to post comic spoilers! I think there's a little Wile E. Coyote thrown in there, as well.
  8. I get why people would like it, but the little I saw of it was soooo cringe-inducing that I just couldn't watch it. I'm not big on second-hand embarrassment.
  9. Maybe the cut on Abraham's hand that seemed important, but went nowhere, will come into play. And FPP dies in the process. Which is exactly why I think they won't. It would compromise this show.
  10. I ship you guys now. A new mutation is a great idea. There seems to be no indication that there will be a power struggle in ASZ, as I think that was over the moment Deanna said, "Do it!" What if those Unfair Wolves have figured out even more ways to use and control zombies? That could be a game-changer, but just until they are defeated. I like Nashville's ideas because that would be a constant issue that they couldn't defeat, it would require re-learning how to live in their world. ETA: this is good stuff; is there an easy way to copy it all into the spec. thread?
  11. I'm going to guess we never find out the actual cause, unless it already exists in the comics. It seems like it's being purposefully left out of the MotherShip, and not for dramatic reasons. It's pretty smart, in my opinion. You don't have people endlessly debating how plausible it is, or complaining about the science of it (see Revolution for how to fuck that up royally). The original flavor isn't about finding the cure and fixing the world (at least not right now), it's just about surviving and adapting to the current situation. We would be those people who yell at the ditzy girl in the horror movie, "don't open the door!" over in Original Recipe if we knew the cause from FTWD (For The Win, Duh). Ugh, I hate this name!
  12. Checking-in here, in the dedicated thread, so HalcyonDays doesn't slap me around :) I don't see how Hardwick would have the time for another show. He's already touring, doing @Midnight, emcee/host of various panels, the Nerdist podcast, and probably producer on some other things. Each year, the number of shows I even try seems to get shorter (especially now that it's so easy to catch-up later if something sticks around). I'm excited to have a semi-new one to look forward to.
  13. Actually, I believe the number 30 came from a comic book reader. It was one of those things, like the term ASZ, that no one seemed to consider a spoiler, and we just incorporated it into conversation.
  14. This is a beautiful combination of having a mouth like a sailor and caring about good grammar:
  15. Fear that this Walking Dead won't be any good? It may just be the fear, in this universe where zombie movies don't exist, of the re-animated dead as you said. Other than maybe surprised, our gang hasn't been "scared" of them in quite some time. I know HalcyonDays made us brand spankin' new forum, but going there would validate the crappy name :(
  16. I kinda tuned out that bit, to be honest. Can someone tell me what exactly the line said? (I love semantics!)
  17. In Maggie and Glenn's goodbye fake-out scene, Maggie said she was going to go around talking to everyone about Rick, did Glenn mention what he was going to be doing?
  18. Sign me up! With all that training I may not even have to bother with cardio.
  19. Similarly, "Fuck fuckity fuck fuck fuck" -Cartman And cockwomble There is no way I'm googling that.
  20. Grrr! I was happy they were finally talking about the exiles, and then, yeah, no follow-up questions. As a group who is still trying to ensure they'll be staying, wouldn't you want to know what kinds of things get you kicked out? Couldn't post-production have started to darken the scenes gradually, at least some?
  21. It's sooo fast, though. You have to know to look for it, or freeze-frame. I just don't think it was for us to see. Why would they pass up a chance to leave us on a cliff-hanger?
  22. twatwaffle and twatnozzle, also great. Plus fucktrumpet.
