  1. No joke, Aly Forrester is the scariest character on tv. She is seriously going to harm Steffy or Liam, it's just a matter of time. Kudos to the actress who can go from Mary Ingalls to Nelly Oleson's meaner sister in a nanosecond.
  2. Unfortunately, there was a lot of dust floating around my house, and then landing in both of my eyes at the end of the show today, so I'm not sure what all I missed, but I think I might have liked the Caroline/Maya scene.
  3. Thanks, Whitlley Trillbert, now all of my coworkers most definitely know that I'm not doing quarterly reports like I'm supposed to be, because they do not cause the kind of reaction that the image of Denise Cosby's clone "Electric Youth"-ing out did for me a few minutes ago. FYI, love the name, after one of my favorite tv characters ever! We should get some Whitley Gilbert-Wayne on this show. She still looks gorgeous!
  4. Reading all of the comments this morning, one thing jumps out at me...is fringe coming back in a big way and I'm the last to know? I hadn't thought about it, but Quinn wore exaggerated fringe on her shirt (& of course, looked gorgeous) and Steffy, the drum majorette (props and welcome back to RuntheTable!) had that unfortunate fringe on her Joan Collins' jacket since like last week. I'm not always up on the latest fashion, so please fill me in, just in case Ridge gets dumped from a plane again and I need to help him draw, and cuddle, and kiss...
  5. Plus, just to doubly-reinforce that "Big Brother" is premiering tonight, they had Zach make a random appearance. Today was a good episode, with Caroline's welcome back party, and her doing what a lot of us have been suggesting she do, and making the comparison between Maya being transgender to her having two moms (while not defending her bad actions, she was still understanding). It was also good seeing Raya back. I'm anxious to see what Ridge will do in regards to her demands that Rick go back, too. I could see Ridge acknowledging that Rick is a valuable employee, just not an effective leader, thus offering him head of creative marketing or something made-up like that. Plus, no Liam/Steffy/Wyatt/Ivy drama today. Win, win, win!
  6. My husband is home sick today (who gets flu-type-bugs in June??), and he has never had the privilege of watching B&B with me at lunch. I love the boy dearly, but a Kanye West-type fashion icon, he is not. Seriously, sweat socks and dress shoes to church every Sunday morning, but I pick my battles. Anyway, today, when they reshowed the Steffy/Liam Aspen/Gondola! wedding, this was the exact conversation: Hub: What in the holy hell is she wearing? Me: It's high-fashion, Love. Hub: Oh my gosh. If you had worn that to our wedding, I think I would have skipped the wedding and taken you straight back to JoAnn's fabric to return that crap and ask for a refund. Me: You should've seen the second wedding of black lace. Then, he got sidetracked on the gym-lighting in Liam's pad, so needless to say, he won't be B&B-ing with me for a while.
  7. **small voice** I found Liam kinda hot when he was being so passionate with Steffy at the end. I actually thought he showed more passion in that scene than he's showed in several years of scenes with several different women combined (granted, several of those years was spent with drippy Hope, who couldn't igninte passion with a tank of gasoline and a blowtorch). I'm finally buying that he has the deep feelings for Steffy. I feel like I must make a confession...I thought I loved Steffy. After a several year absence, I actually started watching just after she and $Bill apparently ended, and I'm pretty sure the very first episode I watched was when she hit her head in the living room bathtub and woke up in love with Liam. However, I think that my hatred for awful, wretched, no-purpose-serving Hope clouded my judgment, and Steffy was just the better alternative. I know it wasn't popular on this board, but I was really excited that she was coming back, and I was hoping that she would move on from Liam to a real story. With that confession being made, I really am not a fan of this latest incarnation, and I'm starting to think that I never really liked her, I just hated Hope that much. How long has it been since we've seen Rick & Maya? They were front and center forever (rightfully so, as that story was the biggest story in daytime tv at the time), but then they're missing for weeks on end? This is the strangest show.
  8. I said the exact same thing! In fact, I replayed the Emily/Ross/Rachel vow fiasco in my head as Liam was stammering through his vows, just to entertain myself. I think SC can be very charming, mostly when he's acting opposite DB/Wyatt or DD/$Bill, and far from Hope's orbit, but I spent the last 10 minutes of showtime today trying to figure out what it is about Liam's milkshake that brings all the girls to the yard. I like SC, and have at times really liked Liam (out of Hope's range, again, just to be clear), however, he sometimes reminds me of Gwyneth Paltrow's character in "The Royal Tenenbaums"on a much smaller scale, because he can just be in the proximity of a woman, and she's falling all over herself to get him to marry her. Carter, on the other hand, what does he have left to do to get some lovin'? He's hot, smart, funny, nice, loyal, a lawyer, and hot (did I mention that already?). BelLA girls are just stoopid.
  9. That is true, ByTor, the Steam marriages did last longer than the Lope marriages, but he was always openly pining for Hope when he was with Steffy, moreso than he pined for Steffy when he was with Hope. There always seemed to be a reason he HAD to be with Steffy. During their first marriage, it was because they didn't know about $Bill's involvement in Gondola-gate, then because Steffy hit her head and had brain trauma. The second time, it was because Steffy was pregnant (which she told him about at his impromptu-wedding to Hope). I always felt like, given the choice, he'd choose Hope over Steffy every time. I think he had more fun with Steffy, but he loved Hope more. Why do I feel like you & I, along with the rest of this board, have given way more thought to each of those relationships than the writers have??
  10. Totally agree, Shira. In fact, as I was enjoying Quinn bring the funny & snarky today, I couldn't help think that I wish they hadn't totally botched her relationship with $Bill (not in a romantic sense, even in just a tolerable sense), because he also has great one-liners & comedic-timing, and I'd love to see them share scenes where they were on the same side. That being said, ugh, I kinda wish Quinn had pushed Wyatt to marry Ivy instead of pushing Liam/Ivy so that Wyatt could have a shot at Steffy. Full disclosure, I began watching the show because it was on during my lunch hour, but I saw a few scenes of drippy Hope and then-awesome Steffy, and I couldn't imagine there being any competition between the 2. After a few rounds of the triangle from Hell, with Liam always choosing Mope over Steffy, I gave up on liking them, but stayed for everyone else (I intensely disliked Hope right from the beginning, and the waffling made me dislike Liam, although, I waffle back-and-forth on liking him myself). I liked Steffy up until the end of her time in BelLA, and was excited when she was coming back, but now I'm disappointed and just wish she'd have brought back some hot French toy with her, so that she could be away from Liam. She's one of those girls who would always rag on her friends' man for the slightest infraction, but will put up with whatever morsel of affection Liam gives her (in fairness, he's always all-too-eager to show her affection). She's much better in the HBIC at Forrester role than the pining for Liam.
  11. I can't remember most of the hoarders names, and I unfortunately may not remember all of the exact details, but I will always remember the most important part of the one where there was a hoarder couple, who I think were living in a camper because their house was just too stuffed with hoard. The husband was on oxygen and the wife just had a wretched personality. The wife was going off about something, and this amazing scene occured: Husband: Do you want a pickle? (said as he's snacking on a pickle) Wife: No, I don't want a pickle! I'm in a pickle! Best line from any tv show ever!
  12. Wyatt does have a point, but it really was Liam's idea to begin with. Those two are just younger Thorne & Ridge (literally, Liam is Waffles, Jr.!), but I like it better when they're on the same side. I must say, I abhor Rick, while I adore TK's Ridge (& really adore Bill, for all of his many, many, many faults - I think it's just that DD's charm makes him so darn watchable and enjoyable!), but I was so on #TeamRick today when he punched $Bill and then didn't have a second of hesitation about his decision with Maya. Seeing the look on Ridge's face, I think he'll probably offer Rick a good position within the company. To me, his face said: "I wanted to win, but not that way". I didn't post yesterday, but I watched the show on my lunch hour as I always do, and I was so thankful to be alone, because when CaRidge were on, I had this silly, little girl grin on my face because they were so darn cute! It's so odd how I hate some pairings for age-inappropriateness (calling Victor Newman and his young concubines), and this one has the added ew-factor of him marrying her aunt-she-was-named-after, but I just help but turn into goo for them.
  13. First of all, I'm SO happy I found this thread! What a great way to spend a slow afternoon at work! One of my very favorite moments ever was in the first season. In TOW The Evil Orthodontist, Rachel & Mindy go to Barry's office to confront him about the lying & cheating, and this exchange occurs: Barry, to Mindy: I was thinking of you the whole time! Rachel: Please, that second time you couldn't even have picked her out of a lineup. Mindy: You had sex with him twice? Rachel: Well, the first time didn't count. It's Barry... The look on JA's face was just perfect! Also, TOW Chandler Crosses the Line, Joey says: Joey: You're so far past the line, you can't even see the line. The line is a dot to you. That one rocked as well. There are so many, but I hadn't seen those 2 mentioned.
  14. I wanted to blast my theory on Facebook this morning when I found out about the baby, but I didn't want people that I know in my every day life to know that I actually am passionate enough about the K-trash to comment about it, so I'm posting it here for you guys, all of my fellows snarkers, instead. We all know that she hated being pregnant, then supposedly had "fertility issues", then, just as Bruce's transition to Caitlyn is almost-complete and all of the attention will be on him for the forseeable future, tada, Kimye are having another unfortunately-named-to-be progeny. That is not at all a slight against actual fertility struggles - my husband and I had our own real fertility struggle, however, when we miraculously got pregnant with no intervention at all, I knew how lucky we were, and I made it a point to not bitch about anything pregnancy-related, plus we're both all over our baby, and we never leave her for days on end (my way of saying that Kim might like the attention of Instagram pix of North, but she doesn't enjoy the day-to-day parenting stuff, and doesn't care at all to miss them frequently). My basic bottom line is that she didn't want to get pregnant again, but if the choice was between Bruce taking their attention, and "suffering" through another pregnancy, thus keeping the attention, there was no contest, and PMK made sure that the Ks kept the attention. However, I'm with all of you that she will get a high-end baby bump pillow and a surrogate will be delivering the next one. Just so I'm not all negative, they did make an adorable baby, so hopefully number 2 (hee hee, I just got that!) will be, too. The world needs more pretty!
  15. I unabashedly love this show, (I hope this comes out correctly) but the characters are just not staying true-to-self, they're acting in an obviously unrealistic way just to bring albout the next story. I understand stories have to keep moving, but the characters are just being written in a way that is not true to who they are. For example, Eric just wouldn't keep giving Rick chance after chance, especially when he tried to shoot Caroline & Ridge, but Bell got JMW/ Steffy to come back, so Eric is the big baddie & Steffy has to return to save the day. Rick goes off-the-rails when anyone lies to him, but when Maya kept a HUGE secret, it was no big deal, because it would be totally un-PC for the show for him to go crazy on her (rightfully so, I'm just saying that's not in character). Eric has always treated Ridge as his son, because he is, biology be damned, but now that they want this Rick & Maya story frontburnered, there is tension about Ridge's Marone DNA. Stories can be fueled by characters acting in-character, but they can't go far with crappy writing. Is anyone on this board a police officer? How do we go about putting out an Amber alert for DeaQuinn? I can't remember the last time we saw them. Their wedding? Quinn is a character who is both new enough and has enough inherent crazy that they could literally write her in any way and make it believable. Maybe they should bring her back to push stories how they want. My husband was at home today on my lunch hour (grrr, that's my time alone!), and when Ridge came on, I said "that's my lunchtime boyfriend". Then when Caroline came on, I told him "that's my lunchtime boyfriend's girlfriend, and I hear 'Girl Crush' in my head when she's onscreen. I'm not too proud to admit that."
  16. Oh my goodness! I seriously had a coworker catch me reading this because I couldn't stop the cackle out loud when I read the bolded part! Well worth it, but I did get caught. Guess I'm bringing donuts tomorrow! Thanks for all of the recaps! Because of you, I always know whether I need to watch the show or just fast-forward to see how insanely-gorgeous Sharon is that day.
  17. I said those exact words to my husband after he won (I don't think he had to win to get that, though, I'm sure girls are already lining up for him)!
  18. It seems to me, the only logical winners, and the only players who are coming close to a winners' edit, are Mike & Carolyn. Let me preface this next part by saying that I can never remember all of their names until close to the merge, but I keep remembering that one of the BC girls said (paraphrased) "the winner of this season of 'Survivor' is on the blue collar team". They replayed that several times, so I'm inclined to think that Mike wins this season. I also think he has a good story, with basically having to keep winning immunity to stay. I could be wrong, and I have before on this show, but I'm going with Mike as the winner. I think Carolyn gets booted sooner rather than later, and I'm thinking Tyler's warning about Dan's advantage will be her undoing. Of course, it could be that Dan uses his advantage and gets Mike out tomorrow night and then I'd be 100% wrong, which is why this is a fun show!
  19. Dare I say, this is kinda what makes this whole thing interesting, and the writers have sort of stumbled ass-first into something that's really instigating a lot of debate. I am fully-confident that this wasn't their intention, but it is interesting that (if this board is any indication) this story is generating a lot of passion on either side, and when was the last time a GH story really caused that kind of reaction? I don't have an opinion, honestly, but I'm loving reading all of the debates you all are having. Back to your quote, specifically, ch1, I see how it is exactly correct and exactly incorrect (no offense, hear me out). Jason didn't want Elizabeth at the end of his life, even though she made it clear she'd be with him by changing Danny's paternity results to make that a possibility (that did happen, didn't it? I didn't dream it, did I?), and Jason was happy with Sam & Danny, even though he didn't know Danny was his. But, that Jason, for all intents and purposes, is gone, and he's been replaced with Jake, who does, in fact, want to be with Elizabeth in every way. She can sort of be with the guy she's always pined-for, as well as having a brand-new relationship. In no way am I condoning Elizabeth's behavior, but I see the grey area where Jakeson are the same person, but a completely different person. It's actually kind of a fascinating story considering their history, I think. Elizabeth has always been a polarizing character, with a ton of love and a ton of hate, but I've never been passionately on either side (although, I'd cut off my pinky-finger if I could have her perfect skin). I'm loving BM as Jakeson, though, and can't imagine this story with blinking-board SB.
  20. At least someone threw some kind of party for Rodney, even if it was a pity party that he threw for himself, where he was the only guest, on his birthday. Maybe it's just me, but after 21, do birthdays really matter that much? 30 was big, I guess, and 40 may be, but I personally wouldn't expect virtual strangers that I've known for 30-ish days, who I'm competing against one million times over, to give up an advantage to me for my birthday. Guess that's why he was on "Survivor" and I wasn't. Team Mike at our house.
  21. This is an awesome spell-check error, because as soon as I saw this, I pictured Yadi (Molina, if you're not a baseball fan) in a pink car, trying to get through a conversation with Khloe and that baby-voice thing she does. I can only imagine the look of sheer-wtf on his face listening to her.
  22. I'm so glad we don't have a quota of "likes" for the day, because I would've blown mine before I even got to my favorite one, how Nicole is poorly-channeling Lisa Bonet from "A Different World"! You guys make sluggish work afternoons so much better! I liked Nicole until today - I can't do hard G sounds at the end of words. ListeninG, lovinG, hatinG. Huge pet peeve. Yeah, Brooke is a straight-up bitch for saying Quinn's not pretty enough for Deacon. I like him, always have, always will, smarmy though he is, but he's no prize, so I don't know why she thinks he's lowering himself to Quinn, who owns her own successful company. I know Quinn's the crazy, but she's endearing, and uniquely beautiful in a town of cookie-cutter beauties. I kinda like truth-telling characters when they rag on characters I hate, like all things Logan (except Bobby Ewing, of course!), so I like Quinn. Plus, DeaQuinn have a hot & active sex life, and we don't see enough of that in daytime. I hope they stay together; they just work and have filled the CaRidge void in LG's absence.
  23. I'm in this show until the end, too. Although we do watch this show every Monday night (how'd we live without DVRs?) I actually just thought about checking this forum for the very first time today, and my initial reaction is "wow, you guys sure do remember the characters' names way better than I do". Ben, Cornell & Monkey, that's all I got. I had to go back and look up some of them, becasue "Laura Ingalls" was on a different show, as was "Doc" from "Third Watch", and none of you mentioned either of them. In my defense, Ryan Phillippe is just so distractingly beautiful, I can't always be bothered to remember anyone else in a scene with him.
  24. I am really interestsed in this Maya reveal (& loving the lack of Brooke!), but it was so nice to have the light scenes with $Bill & Ridge today! $BRidge is my new favorite tv bromance! Great way to start the unusual scene, when Ridge opened the door with (paraphrasing) "I can't believe it" & $Bill answered "believe it, I really am this tall, dark and handsome". I do wish that Ridge would remind Bill that he was going to leave Katie for Ridge's daughter just a few years ago, and that age-difference wasn't a factor to Bill then. I've mentioned this before, but when there's a scene that requires some natural charisma or decent-acting, I always picture RM in the scene, which made watching the actual great scene today a great two-fer - a good scene with two good actors, then the image of RM trying to match wit with DD made me cackle in delight!
