  1. That doesn't make sense based on the timeline of the show and when the Vietnam War ended.
  2. You're right. It seemed much longer between their wedding and when she stopped jumping up and down to me but it wasn't. I blame current events for me losing all sense of time including how it's depicted on TV shows.
  3. There's still hours to fill on local channels across the country that would pay for the reruns.
  4. Some spoilers http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2017/03/08/how-the-election-made-slavery-drama-underground-so-painfully-relevant.html
  5. There are some people who cannot stand subtitles and they are missing on some great TV including this show, Deutschland 83, Fresh off the Boat, Jane the Virgin, Man in the High Castle, The Returned (FR) and I can go on and on.
  6. I just realized the weird episode order (18) because the final episode of season 5 will mark 100 episodes which means syndication money. They are planning on canceling this show after season 5 just like they did with Switched at Birth (103 episodes total). The only show they let run past 100 or so episodes is Pretty Little Liars and they will end the show with 160 episodes.
  7. I can't help but think of Maddie Brown of Sister Wives who got married when she was 20 and now she's on a downward spiral while her sister Mariah (who went away to college, came out as a lesbian and is involved in progressive politics) has found a girlfriend and is experiencing life the way it should go. Finish college before you get married. Joy is in for a world of horrible because her in-laws are even more controlling than her parents.
  8. I think Jessa is going to regret, in a year or so, marrying Ben because he was way too young when they met and shows no sign of growing up. They look tired and having two babies at that young of an age is going to age them tremendously. Look at how bad Jill and Derick look and the second kid hasn't even arrived.
  9. Daniel has lived in NYC for tool long now and it's made his speech speed up. I don't think it will ever change.
  10. Help me out here. They were married on February 10, 1840 and their first kid was born on November 21, 1840 so the show played fast a loose with their first few months of marriage. She got pregnant almost right away but the show made it seem like much longer. Her next kid was born almost 1 year after her first.
  11. Considering Daisy Goodwin said on that fundraising special that the next season would run through 1848 there's a finite amount of stuff that can be covered. Also, we're going to see her give birth to five more of her nine kids next season. Her last kid was born in 1857.
  12. I think it's more exciting for American participants to be related to any royalty or other famous historical people because our country is so young.
  13. Shows with kids and school years really need someone like ourselves working on the outside of the show as consultants to check their timeline issues. They should also determine all the birthdays and stick to them because this is ridiculous because everything I've read has the twins birthday's in May. Anyway it's enough to make our heads explode.
  14. I just asked Bradley the question about Danny. I'll let everyone know if I hear back from him. On to another topic- we've determined that it's late Nov 2014 in the show (but no mention of Turkey Day so WTF?) because Jude is 14 now which means all of this chaos has happened in 18 months. Here are the kids birthdays August 28, 1996- Brandon July 11, 1997- Callie May 17, 1998- Mariana and Jesus November 17, 20000- Jude Now why are both Brandon and Callie seniors when CA rules would've allowed Brandon to start kindergarten a year earlier than he did. The way they've written his character doesn't scream him having to repeat a grade during elementary school so what gives? Why make his birthday so far away from Callie's. They could've saved themselves from this issue if Brandon's birthday was after September of that year. Also, let's concentrate on Brandon and Callie's stories in season 4. Both of them have been through a decade's worth issues in only about 4 months time. This is getting ridiculous. One more thing. So Lena has suffered a miscarriage and Stef got shot and had cancer, both of which she's in recovery from, during this 18 month period.
  15. I'm mad that they won't kill off any of the male main characters, as of this episode, while both Eleanor (a queer woman) and Madi (a Black woman) died during this episode.
  16. I hate that this show has been co-opted for more drama at the expense of character development. I don't even feel Stef and Lena's love anymore because it's been shoved aside in favor of the kids.
  17. I'm having such a hard time with Susan's performance and it boils down to the fact that she hasn't done anything worth talking about in years so her acting has gotten choppy and stale. Maybe that's what everyone else here is experiencing. Let me know if I'm way off base.
  18. Maddie is such a disappointment while Mariah is so damn awesome. So weird.
  19. How screwed up is it that Jana has to share a bedroom with her four youngest sisters now that Joy is getting married soon. I know they redecorated but the video's I've seen don't show the alcove where the youngest slept in those random beds.
  20. Only on TV will people be able to open their windows or doors and not have a screen blocking their access to the outdoors. Screens keep insects, flies and bees out of the house for crying out loud.
  21. So actress Courteney Cox just discovered she is a direct descendant of William the Conqueror and therefore going back into the past none other than Rollo. How cool is that?
  22. Remind me which deSpencer and how that factors into FDR and GWB.
  23. Jennifer Beals has never denied her biracial identity and I specifically remember her comments about Bette sharing her biracial status because the show was so fucking white cast wise. She realized how awful that would look and fought for more POC to appear on the show as it went on. This is why she pushed for Pam Grier to be cast as her half-sister and Ossie Davis as her dad right from the jump.
  24. It turns out that Robert Osbourne was gay and in a 20 year relationship at the time of his death. http://www.advocate.com/arts-entertainment/2017/3/06/tcm-host-robert-osborne-dead-84-survived-same-sex-partner
