  1. Did anyone else notice that Camille was huffing and puffing more than Zeek when they were hiking up the hill? It is bad enough that the writers think it is believable to show a man with a serious heart condition doing that sort of activity, but his breathing was fine.
  2. I stumbled across this while channel surfing and I am hooked! It is just so "pleasant and civilized" compared to American cooking competition shows. The contestants are all sweet lovely people, the judges are polite and pleasant, and the hosts are entertaining. No sabotage or drama, and when someone messes up their fellow competitors are sympathetic and gracious.
  3. Crosby showed up , in character, on About a Boy tonight. I heard him mention the Lunchonette, and thought for a sec that the show was back on Tuesdays.
  4. They are probably not making any announcements because the engagement is the big season finale. Now that they have a show, everything is fodder for future episodes.
  5. Not just a wet t-shirt but shorts too. This makes me happy. Baby steps, to be sure, but at least Jill has a husband who doesn't follow all of the nonsensical Duggar modesty rules. AND she got to go to a Broadway show that was not religious in nature. Glad to see she is getting to broaden her horizons a bit.
  6. As long as they are happy, good for them. I suspect this one may be a reality check though, especially being so far away from family. And travelling with 4 little ones will be no picnic, that is sure, so trips home may become fewer and far between.
  7. BitterApple, I live in Vegas too! I have to say, your comparison between Wal-Mart and Target is spot on! My son works for Sam's Club so he is a Wal-Mart fan. He is always telling me, "You know, mother, you can get xyz cheaper at Wal-Mart." I am sure he is right, but my poor student days are long gone, so I don't mind shelling out a bit more money for the same items at other stores. In fairness though, my older son goes to school in Phoenix and the Wal-Mart he goes to is clean and well-stocked. And I have been to some Targets that were kinda yucky.
  8. So very sorry for your loss wanderwoman.
  9. I had high hopes for Alyssa too. Oh well... guess they are happy and that is all that matters. I do feel for Erin, but at the same time I am glad she is getting more "alone time" with her hubby. It just makes me really sad that she is made to feel like a failure because she has been married for a WHOLE YEAR and it is still just the two of them.
  10. Thanks, autumnh. I had no idea. I have never heard of "Great Lakes salmon."
  11. A few thoughts: TFDW mentioned catching some salmon. In Lake Michigan? Yeah, right... Never been fishing but even I know that wouldn't happen. Josh should stick to dark coloured shirts on camera. Those moobs were distracting. All the talk of "inches" was juvenile. Saw a glimpse of Jessa's wedding during a promo for next week's finale. Maybe TLC has been listening to all the complaints about how long they dragged everything out for Jill.
  12. Finally got to watch this episode. While Max and Kristina continue to annoy, I have to say the look on his face when he saw Dylan kissing Aaron was heartbreaking. The actor does the best he can with the crappy material they give him, that is for sure. Getting a bad vibe from Cosby. Hope they don't kill him off. What a horrible way to end things. Guess Thursday will be the last episode until after the holidays.
  13. What a dick. Making his wife get dressed, sit up, and wrangle a toddler less than 5 hours after giving birth to an almost 9 pound baby? I cannot even imagine trying to do that. Anyone who has had more than one baby remembers the unpleasant surprise of afterpains which rival contractions in their intensity. Poor Priscilla had to sit there and act the dutiful wife while she was probably in agony. And reading Scripture during labour? If that had been me that Bible would have been flying at TFDW's head pretty quickly. Ah well, it is a girl, so David has 80 (?) or so days before he has to try to "fellowship" with his wife again. He must be so relieved...
  14. Yes the lack of a proper fitting bra was so distracting, both tonight and when she originally appeared.
  15. OK, they have been married for over a week. Does that mean the pregnancy watch has officially begun? I hope it doesn't happen right away, but sadly I think it will. I can't help but wonder if JB is gloating over the fact that he is beating Gil Bates in the grandbaby derby. Right now he is leading 4-1. Erin celebrated her first anniversary last week, and Alyssa has been married 6 months with no announcement, so it looks like she will also get at least one child-free year with her husband. How refreshingly "normal" they seem next to the Duggar brides.
  16. I understand Jill is pregnant, and that makes it difficult to wear heels, but why not a nice pair of flats instead of those fugly sandals? It's NOVEMBER! If you don't live in the tropics put the sandals/flip flops away until the spring.
  17. Thanks, heckyeahheartland. Wow. That's a giant middle finger at her parents, isn't it? Good for her.
  18. Can someone post a link to this kissing photo please? Checked both Jessa's and Ben's Instagram pages and nothing. Thanks!
  19. It is a 13 episode season. My guess is they will take a break after sweeps until after the holidays.
  20. I don't know, the whole Tommy scenario just seems messy to me. First of all, the playing fast and loose with the timeline. No way that was a 14 year old kid. And are they implying that Gillian told young Tommy that Nucky killed his father? I have been trying to remember if Tommy saw or heard anything around the time Jimmy was killed. Other than that major flaw, it was a really good finale. Just wish Eli had reunited with June.
  21. Wow. I was just about to say how ludicrous it seemed that there was a black female lawyer working at the US attorney's office in 1931. Did not seem realistic to me. Then again, the female FBI agent was also based on a real character, and I thought that was purely fictional too.
  22. Just last week I was thinking that Mickey Doyle was infinitely less irritating compared to earlier seasons, and boom! he's gone. There's a lot to tie up in one episode. Sadly, I did not see any sign of Narcisse in the preview for next week. I hope that doesn't mean he just skates away.
  23. Yep, Josh was very proud of that purse. Plastered it all over Instagram. "Getting a gift for my wife!" "Aren't I the best husband ever???" Bleah.
  24. All I can say is that I am happy that the girl Max likes is Dylan and not Ruby. I saw an interview with the actor where he said that Max was going to have his first crush, and I assumed it would be Ruby. Phew!
  25. It is my understanding that Jim Bob uses a debit card. He probably has wads of cash in the bank, so it isn't an issue for him. Nothing wrong with credit cards- I use mine for everything and get points and cash rewards. I do pay the balances in full each month. It is all about self-control. I know how much I have to spend and I don't go over the limit, but it is nice to know I have credit if an emergency were to come up. I think maybe Jim Bob does not have enough self-control to do that- didn't he and Michelle get themselves in trouble with credit card debt early in their marriage? Once bitten , I guess.
