  1. So did Levitt. He was the Mole who got Harris and Wojo to chase him through a sewer.
  2. Have I missed a lot of episodes? Feels like we just met the singles and now they are paired up? Not that I want to see more of Devin. Divorced couple (paraphrase): We didn’t know that he’s Catholic. We’re Southern Baptist. That’s about as far apart as you can get – total opposite. Me: I don’t think that word means what you think it means. /s Now, I know there’s differences in Christianity having been raised both Catholic and Lutheran. But to act as if they are complete polar opposites and your precious daughter cannot cope. Especially since the guy is a non-practicing Catholic… Divorced couple (pp): She once dumped a guy during dinner because he made a noise when he chewed. And he was gorgeous too! Me: OK. Now, those little things can be annoying but that’s nothing to brag about. What’s telling is that the mother points out the guy’s looks. Not that he was a good person. But looks. So looks are greater than character. Kinda tells me where the daughter gets her immaturity from. Divorced couple: Have you met my friend Jesus? Me: Oh Lord. Pretty sure Jesus didn’t reject people for chewing their food loudly.
  3. Just heard about Colonel Abrams. Trapped and Not Gonna Let were 2 huge dance hits. And looking back at this Soul Train clip, it looks like Colonel and I had the same dance moves. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=go0qQYc3_UI
  4. Of the main characters, I think only Barney (Hal Lindin), Liz (Barbara Barrie), Wojo (Max Gail) and Chano (Gregory Sierra) are still with us.
  5. How about the florist that Marcus called his mom on?
  6. As of a few weeks ago, the Courage b store was still open in Greenwich CT. I'll check it out next week if I remember. I didn't mind Anna. She probably had to step up and be that assertive because Susana was so wishy washy.
  7. And he's only 26. How old was the blonde his father picked out? The mother kept saying she was too young. All of these people so far look and act too young to be getting married in such a desperate fashion.
  8. Interesting that the sister from Courage b is head of Marcus' fashion holdings. As if that business was run well.
  9. "An" odd typo. I love typos that occur when complaining about typos. My favorite was a coworker who sent an email criticizing another about her "type-o's". I almost peed myself.
  10. Bantams are in the Starbucks in the burbs around NYC too. Haven't tried one. Doesn't appeal to me.
  11. I'm gonna guess the issue is that the show reimburses them for the airfare and hotel and George was unable to front it due to his accounts being frozen (which Shaun never asked him about). If the show paid for it and gave them the tickets, there'd be little money issues except spending money and he's usually walking around with cash so that should have been ok too. That he blew 10K on strippers in one night says he's really good at managing money. /s Shades of Apollo Nida from RHoATL.
  12. That restaurant was in walking distance of a Super Stop & Shop and less than a mile from Key Foods, Acme, D'Agostino's and Whole Foods. Wouldn't take much to do some in market research. The guy didn't need a degree in marketing both Marcus & George told him - Chips, Salsa, and Tortillas. So he comes up with 3 random items - frozen tamales (which he didn't even try), mole (yum), pan dulce. What do they have in common? Not much competition in bodegas? OK. They told him mass market. If he came up with a trio of frozen stuff (quesadillas, enchiladas, burritos) or of sauces & salsa - that might have been impressive. This wasn't. That restaurant also wasn't all that clean, the unsafe machinery was visible from the dining room and that neighborhood is full of authentic Mexican (plus other Latin American cuisine). While I give the guy props for busting his butt and achieving some success, I don't feel he will be happy being second banana.
  13. Maybe there's a look back episode? Because I haven't seen that either. Though I am usually multitasking while watching so easily could miss it
  14. Anfisa has bad extensions. Jorge finally cut his hair so he doesn't look like Alfalfa. People can have opinions on other people's hair without it being racist or white elitism. So Jorge why was your bank accounts frozen? And why didn't the show pay for the airfare to get to the reunion? Jorge did throw Anfisa under the bus repeatedly. All was right that they are young and using arguments for excitement. Alla was the only sincere person there. Matt is still a goober. Chantal is either a bad actress or a lame-ass. Or both. Tired of her excuses. It's 90 days to get married. Whether she tells her family or not, she could have done the prep work for the wedding, had his family apply for visas etc. But she waits and waits and waits. Probably used to her parents bailing her out. The host is lame. All those pauses. Asking one couple about the other. boring.
  15. Algae lady -those glasses. Was the glass clear? Was it a prop to look smart? The small lens in comparison to the thick frames. I was fascinated by them. But yes, another snake oil salesman. I get Daymond's point on denim wearing out but who owns 1 pair and waits for it to wear out? Not people buying at $150 or more a pair.
  16. MeTV on Sunday nights. Either before or after Bob Newhart.
  17. Which one is Ray? Is he an American or another green card candidate?
  18. If you have a degree (advanced or not), it is extremely difficult to get a retail job. Why? Because most companies don't want to hire someone who is going to leave. It costs money to onboard and train. From personal experience I can tell you that I've discarded resumes from people with graduate degrees and doctorates who were applying for department assistant. There's no way they'd stay in that job. They are only applying because they have huge student loans and want the healthcare. Good for them, lousy deal for the company as they will be spending company time looking for a job in their field. So no, Russ can't take an unskilled job because he won't get offered it. He also probably has money saved. Pretty sure that was mentioned in their first season, that Russ saved money because his job was seasonal to an extent and Pao called him a tightwad because of it.
  19. TLC had a 10 minute preview. Guess how many times in that did Anfisa tell Jorge money mattered most?
  20. Such anger. The only ones I have sympathy for are Danielle's children. Everyone else involved can go stuff themselves in a dirty hamper.
  21. Julia was before my time but I enjoyed watching them on Aspire. Once. Not something I can watch multiple repeats of like I can with Bob Newhart or Barney Miller. Also enjoying Room 222 on Aspire. Interesting to hear about the generation conflict and how we seem to go through it every 20 years without fail.
  22. The 38K that Melanie mentions she spent, wasn't just on trips to see Devar, it was also on the K1 Visa. She said so in the last episode. Supposedly, other couples have spent close to 30K on that alone. So that would be about 8K in travel costs. Not so extreme.
