  1. Nicole has internet access so she should be able to look of Morocco. Once she found out (or was told) that MO stood for Morocco, it's just another click or 2 away to find out any info. Perhaps she's lazy. Or depressed. Unmotivated. Living in a fantasy world. Any combination of those. I feel for her daughter. The way TLC is billing this season lets us know exactly what they have in mind. And anyone else who signs up for this, you were warned! I think each of the previous seasons, there were at least 2 couples that appeared to be genuine. This season... nope. And yes, Dani & Mo are backkkkkkkkkkk! There was a special episode last night that recapped their year and teases out what's to come. (More of the same.) There's a whole follow-up show with couples from various seasons. Might have to set my DVR for that.
  2. Local food truck owners by me shop in Costco. Strawberries and basil go well together. In a vinaigrette. Or in a martini. The Italian team didn't need to add tomatoes to it, they could have done a pesto. I think it's more home cooking than anything else.
  3. RIP Country Comedian, Kenny Bob Davis http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0004231/?ref_=nmbio_bio_nm
  4. I wouldn't be surprised if he is on the cusp of something. Of course, he could also just be a special snowflake (a/k/a millennial) Yea........ not buying it. And no, the value of the assessment isn't substantial. The rings maybe. But I think they are probably less than a grand. There's no way these folks are paying for the rentals for 6 weeks out of their own pre-show money. Sam never would have ponied up a dime. I remember reading a RHoNJ contract and the wives were paid 33K$ for the first season. A lot more episodes but typically on these types of show, it's a per episode fee, and if it's a contest type show (which this is in a way), the amount increases as each episode goes along. One of Sam's complaints about Neil is that she liked off-camera Neil and that on-camera Neil was fake and a dud.
  5. You and me both. It looked like at the end, they didn't use the overhead dispensers, just the lucite square bins where you scoop the stuff out. How hard would it be to put a trough under the overhead dispensers to catch any spills? I wasn't a huge fan of marketing daughter. But yea, she was better than HR Sandy. Like the Hilton guy - he seems like he'll be a good asset.
  6. Floved Friendly's as a kid. Who wouldn't want a Happy Ending after their meal?! It was a Sundae, people. B&J's formula has changed with the new owners. Baskin Robbins also changed. Afraid to go to Carvel and see if that also has lowered its quality. Had Cold Stone the other day (it was an after movie treat), waited in line for an hour (no joke), and ice cream was so-so. But, had some Haagen-Dazs a couple weeks ago and that rocked. So there's hope for the kid in me still. Ha! I think she's a perfect fit for HR with that attitude. At least in the places I've worked, she'd have fit right in. I only remember Roy's from interstate highway rest stops. Arby's is making a comeback on LI! A new franchisee opened up 2 on the south shore. There used to be on in NYC at the sketchy Manhattan Mall but when they finally renovated the mall, it was eliminated. My (now ex) bf and I would drive to Danbury CT or cross the Tappan Zee to get some at the Palisades Mall. Then it was a trip out to Queens. Now the closest one to me is 35 minutes away along the shore of CT. Not to be too much of an Arby's nut but they had (may still do) a map on their website where you can plan your roadtrip out to Arby's. I did that for a business trip and sent it in as a proposed itinerary. Our version of Sandy was not amused
  7. Is that the girl who raspily whines: Marsalalala? I mock her every time. I'm all adult like that. /s
  8. My mom got Couch Coat in The Christmas Tree Store. Said it was lame, fit poorly, didn't stay, and was hard to clean.
  9. Wasn't there a chef from Chopped or a similar show before? Maybe from Cleveland? Vinny was one of the least objectionable people on Jersey Shore so that should help a little.
  10. Absolutely. Sorry M8. Didn't mean to hurt feelings. Tried the humor route but must have missed the mark. Just dying for some punctuation so it's easier to read and understand. Going to have to agree to disagree. I remember when they were talking to her family and they said Vanessa was spoiled and coddled. Everyone remembers and interprets differently.
  11. I remember her sitting on their bed in several episodes with her clothes and shoes strewn about. My take away with her was the same as Marivic from MBMAD - lived at home too long, had her mother/grandmother pick up after her, etc. At least Vanessa had her own place. And there's no way I'd match her up with David. Vanessa is way to nice for that!
  12. I think Patti from Millionaire Matchmaker could do a better job. For David from S3, I'd match him up with Emily from Married by Mom and Dad: https://www.facebook.com/EmmyKatActress/?fref=ts She's attractive and that's important to him because he stated he wanted someone his friends would find attractive. She has a job (2 of them!), she's fit - she's done American Ninja Warrior and he likes to play kickball, she drinks beer out of a bottle and he likes to do that, she likes to go to bar-be-cues and talk to other people's friends and he likes that. C'mon show -- do a cross show promotion and make this happen!
  13. I didn't write that she dressed like a slob - it was in reference to her being domestic. She had stuff strewn all over. Tres even came home from work one day early to clean up after *her* mess.
  14. Sam had those wax melts and I believe there were allusions to smoking the MJ. I don't remember Vanessa being domestic as much as being a homebody. She was kind of a mopey slob. Sonia --- no, she's too nice to be paired with all surface no substance David. There's no one on this show that I'd match him up with except Sam though she's better with Derek from a trainwreck potential.
  15. I don't know if they do STD testing on MAFS but a quick search pulls up a claim that they didn't in S2 and when the "experts" defended themselves for crapping matching, they never corrected that assertion. So take that for what it's worth. http://starcasm.net/archives/319011 http://starcasm.net/archives/31896
  16. If they were flying on Heather's airline, she should have texted a friend and gotten herself pulled off at the gate. I'd have been tempted to parachute out myself. I didn't watch the first 2 seasons so no idea about Jacklyn or Jessica. I wouldn't pair any of this season's women with David. Maybe Sam. Trainwreck wise, Sam and Derek would be fun.
  17. OMG, you went THERE! Nick really seems to be holding it in. He was pretty much the same with his friends during his bachelor party. I think they get paid a bonus for every time they say "stranger". So women over 30 all have STDs? #SMH Stop, just stop. And, I highly doubt MAFS tests for anything. Maybe, just maybe, it's a question on the application.
  18. Kinda sounds like mini bra when it's more like a cami bra. Have to confess, I wore jackets with lace bras when I first started working. Also wore men's dress shirts with belts as a dress. And men's boxers as shorts. While occasionally someone digs out a photo for #TBT, I'm thankful cell phones didn't really have cameras back then.
  19. Tom was mumbling a bit so not sure what all he said on the episode. According to some who saw Unfiltered, Lilly outed Tom's debt. 60-70K isn't bad but it's not like he's rolling in it. Last season, they talked about finances when deciding where to live. I think Neil and Sam were more equals financially while the other 2 couples weren't. This season, Sonia makes probably 1/2 of what Nick does with his job and AirBnB rentals; Lilly might do as well as Tom or even better depending on sales; Heather might make more than Derek since we don't know what he is an AE for - it could be anywhere from mid 30's to 6 figures. It is awkward but it's a good conversation to have.
  20. Didn't at least 2 of the experts say that they paired Sonia with Nick and Lilly with Tom because the men are good providers? Am I remembering that correctly? I think Lilly does have to work on being as slim as she is. I thought Tom said that Lilly's family was beautiful while he was still at the altar. He sat with her mother and sisters at the reception so it's not like he thinks she comes from a family of stick figures.
  21. I'm tired of seeing the roof of the money when she brays.
  22. Didn't he say that "last" year he made 60K? Not as in that he makes that much every year. Which really isn't that much. He had to buy the bus, update it (that had to cost at least $20), pay trailer park rental fees, other bills, surfing stuff, going out, etc. Does he have a car? Does he ride a bike? Uber? Doubt he drives his bus all over though he did say he takes it out for road trips.
  23. That is Heather. She's fairly rigid, sees things as black or white, right or wrong, (thinks she's) has figured out the right/best way to do everything. Not unlike Tom who seems pretty rigid as well.
  24. Is that what your insiders say? Are any of these people ready for marriage? And what does that exactly mean? Ready for any old spouse? Just want to be married, don't want to date, just want to have sex, a wife to cook, a husband to grill, and have friends & family over? Sounds like good old David from last season. He said he was ready, just didn't want to do the work of dating to get there. Okkkkkkkkkkkkkk.
