  1. Nope. David was doughy, clingy, and all sound bytes. He was this season's Derek without the pot and cartoon sharpy tattoos. He was a "nice guy" in quotes only. Sonia would have done better with Tres who at least seemed genuine. Don't think that would have been a match that lasted either since Tres likes to date white girls. Hopefully Sonia gains confidence and moves on. Hopefully Nick stops being such a closed off arsehole.
  2. You can teach, you can preach, but it's up to the other person to learn. The other 2 kids seem to have some sense in their heads. Don't think we can lay the blame of Nicole solely on her parents.
  3. We saw a handful of minutes of Nicole's parents. I'd wager a guess that they have talked to her at length off camera. But she's a self centered self focused grown child who admits that she routinely makes bad decisions. She doesn't live with either parent. She lives in section 8 housing with her daughter. If they were coddling her, she'd be living with one of them. They don't want to alienate her and not see their grand-daughter. Only so much you can do with an adult child.
  4. I was annoyed at the ostrich egg hunt. Where's PETA when you need them? Those poor birds indeed. Otherwise... the egg challenge -- could they even taste the egg in the meatballs? Those little pans were cute but what was the point? Adaptability? So lame.
  5. Interesting. Thanks for posting. Not sure if I believe TLC hooked them up initially. That might have been misunderstood.
  6. What did it turn out to be? My DVR cut off while she was whining at her stud, I mean husband, for telling his mother about her secret.
  7. The community colleges by me (3 different counties) only offer the prep courses and an AAS in nursing. I still think Chantel is exaggerating. Nicole doesn't live at either parent's home; it looks like she lives in section 8 housing; it looked like one of those roadside truck stop motels. Perhaps her parents are practicing tough love after Nicole's string of bad decisions (according to Nicole herself). I also think if her sister didn't agree to watch May, Nicole would have left her with a friend. 5 weeks is a very long time to go to Morocco to be with someone you don't know. Is she staying with him and his family? That ought to be ripe. Not sure why Azan was surprised how fat Nicole is. If he got a glimpse of her upper arms, he'd have known. Maybe she has a fun house mirror filter on her webcam. She certainly is delusional if she thinks a personal trainer is going to be interested in someone who is morbidly obese other than trying to get them to lose weight.
  8. I'm up for deporting Danielle. Let's clarify - she had 1 adult child when she sponsored Mohamed. The others were in school. Mo is a scammer. He had 0 intention of being with Danielle long term. Probably was hoping for a nice house, plenty of food, electricity etc while waiting for the probationary period to end. He ran away to stay with Danielle's blonde friend who also had brought in a Muslim husband. Mo was just shocked at Danielle's lies. He knew she was unattractive, fat, and clingy. He didn't know she was broke. Mo's been traipsing across the USA - he documents it on FB. These other women pay for him to visit them. That's not someone who was in love. That's someone who is looking for another gravy train. Now we see Mo has made himself a new friend -- a guy he met in Walmart -- who feeds and houses him. That guy was looking at him the same way Danielle was. Mo is a user. And so is Danielle.
  9. Mo was happy until he saw where they really lived. And that there wasn't enough money to pay electric, phone, cable, internet etc. And when she wouldn't stop touching him, well, that drained him. He was never going to stay with her after the probationary period. Once he had other women competing for him, he just followed the money until they tired of him and he moved on. I hope his Florida blonde spills the beans on him.
  10. Matt from KY - first glance, ok he's a goober who rushes things, is way too close to his family etc. But then... look at him.. He gets all 5 year old excited and animated and then, switch off, blank face, dead eyes. Maybe he has a temper? Could be. Maybe he's a lying sociopath? Possible. I'd venture that despite all the Christian praying, he's a very kinky boy. Why is there a stripper pole in his house? Could be a swinger. Could be Captain Save a Ho. Jorge, I'm cheering for Anfisa to wipe you out. I don't believe you own any of those cars. Probably one day leases. Maybe the secret is you still live at home and you are leveraged to the hilt. And letting her have your passwords? What's to stop her from posting Craig's list ads with your info selling pot (illegally) so you get busted? Just cross her wrong and see. Nicole still pathetic. Stupid. Lazy. Boring. I feel for the child. When they showed her house, it looked like a housing project. Chantel - I know gf doesn't have much money, going for her BS in Nursing at a community college (since when do they offer 4 year degrees?). But that apartment? Walk right into the bedroom? Looks like a converted motel.
  11. My first thought was Colitis. Then I thought perhaps Narcissism. "Guys, you don't know how hard this condition is on me!"
  12. Panera Bread Au Bon Pain Souper Salad Zoup The Soup Kitchen Souplantation Hale & Hearty I think some people are in this market already. Add to it, all the grilled cheese places, it's not a new concept. Marcus can do better.
  13. I follow Bob's FB page. Hoping to see him perform later this year.
  14. At the time it was said he worked for DHL in logistics. Someone said that meant he worked at DHL's warehouse in Dubai sorting packages. Supposedly it was a good job.
  15. My sister in law is an elementary ed school teacher. Parents and students praise her. If you met her outside the classroom and saw her around kids, you'd think she worked in DMV.
  16. Thanks BonnieLass! Glad it was a joint issue and not disease.
  17. According to public records: https://wcca.wicourts.gov/pager.do;jsessionid=894B289BEFB181C435D547F6AB31F6A7.render6?cacheId=07CFD38F9C07E63A8FE560EED443F36B&offset=0&sortColumn=0&sortDirection=DESC Grace Magnolia Ladewig has 3 C class felonies in WI. I don't know about her home state of CA. It seems she served time for theft. There were at least 2 distinct charges of theft from employers (neither related to each other or the soup people). The 3rd charge, I don't know, it's not clear. Yea, it's easy to blame the victim, particularly when the victim is a female and a minority. I'm not saying Dave wasn't sexually harassing her or isn't a creep. I am pointing out that there's more to Grace and the situation than was presented. More than he said, she said. There are no perfect victims. In court, and in media, and in public - victims get raked over the coals and examined more than the criminals most times. It's not right. But it is reality. To me, watching the show, something rang false about Grace, Dave, and how their relationship was conveyed to us. How Dave got so upset and wasn't prepared to deal with questions. How the employees answered and didn't answer about Grace. How she barged past the day the cameras were there. How the wife was always lurking. How Dave seemed to make up the story to appease Marcus on the phone (like he rehearsed it with his wife). How supposedly it was all resolved. How Grace then paced outside the grand re-opening. How Grace shouted "how dare you" etc at Dave. How Dave seemed totally nonplussed about it (as if that happened all the time). How Marcus played peace keeper. How the wife was peering through the window the whole time. And then, how Grace walked away instead of going inside. When I see partial truths, I wonder what else isn't true, what else is lurking?
  18. Yea, that didn't take long. No wonder Grace didn't want to be near Dave's wife. She would have outed Grace for her multiple felonies (arrests, guilty pleas, and years served). Dave probably liked the crazy and enjoyed the attention. Until it got to bunny boiling time and his wife had enough. According to court records (and in WI alone, there are many), Grace was stripped of her weapons and her right to own them, ordered to undergo pysch treatment and alcohol rehab. Her driving infractions are the lowest of the charges. Do we know when Dave fired Grace? It shows that the soup company filed for a restraining order against Grace on 6/15. Marcus was smart to bail on this one. hope he stays far away.
  19. Well according to Tim's sister, Grace inappropriately flirted and touched other men (maybe her brother?) and has a criminal record. Who knows. I'm sure more will come out. I didn't get all wounded flower from Grace. There was something between her and douchy owner. Plus she looked like she was hiding something. According to the article Cranky posted, Grace & Dave met in 2012. Dave made it seem like they were friends for a long time. Again, something is off. She claimed to be the ops manager, still in charge, still working, still receiving a paycheck, but hiding from the cameras at Dave's request due to his wife's issues. Then why is so much in disrepair? Why does she call it a relationship issue if it's sexual harassment? Why does she pace outside the grand re-opening of the remodeled store and lash out like a jilted lover - only to walk away when she gets a lame apology? If she's afraid of anything, my guess it would be of the wife confronting her in public. And who called the wife to let her know that Grace showed up at the other location? Someone did. Someone who doesn't see Grace a a wound flower or great boss either. Fishier than clam chowder.
  20. While I was waiting for my cup of joe at my local coffee house tonight, one of the baristas went on break. As he was walking out, he turned to this skelly customer and said "hey man, wanna smoke?" Skelly customer (who looked dirtier than Tom's feet) nodded and patted his left breast pocket twice. It was flat. No cigarette packs in there. Heather agreed that Derek stopped smoking when she brought it up to him. I'd venture a guess that he stopped smoking in front of her. He was very stoned in the talking head after the cave. While I agree that she probably finds faults very early on and turns them into deal-breakers, this isn't a relationship that would work. And they shouldn't try to make it work. Fish and cut bait.
  21. At the end of the episode we see Lily crying and Tom kneeling by her, trying to be supportive. Lily says something like she doesn't want him to have to take care of her as if she is ill. Anyone else catch that? I already deleted it from my DVR.
  22. Considering that David's friends said that he'd make out with random women he didn't know nightly in a bar... yea I'm sure he'd be all over her. But considering how turned on Sonia was by Nick's toned physique, David's pudgy flabby torso wouldn't do it for her.
  23. never saw Jamie's season but real tired of her open mouth gaping. And her 'omg you married a stranger!" She said that last season too. Um, so did you you loser. And they are no longer strangers.
  24. There's more to the story about Grace and the chef. As soon as everyone got quiet, I assumed affair. No wonder the wife was always around. She wasn't keeping Grace away from the cameras, she was keeping her husband away from Grace. Honey, if you have to watch him like a pit bull, he's a cheater, and he ain't worth it. Wonder if she was helping to bankroll the company. You could tell in his eyes that he was just yessing Marcus to get the investment and as soon as Marcus left, he'd change stuff back. Now, I wasn't thrilled with the new store look either, but I'd have just modified it so that the signage was more readable and let it ride for a year. As for the soups, I want variety. I want a thin broth with chunks of meat & veggies that's relatively low on sodium. I also want a nice hearty vegetarian bean soup that's stew like. And I want a decadent thick rich creamy mushroom soup that will fill me for days. I would think the business would do well to have light, medium, hearty categories so that everyone has something based on what they are in the mood for. And no chef, it's not OK not to tell people the nutritional content (or lack thereof) and calorie counts when they ask. At a minimum, that needs to be on your website. Marcus can take a seat with "You're not the only one who cooks. I cook too." when addressing a chef with professional training. Did he learn that from Bethenny? Marcus brought in the sign guy. Have we seen him before? I remember some sign shop down south that wanted a deal but also were inflexible so Marcus walked. Wonder if they are kicking themselves now. The pretzels - meh. I love a good pretzel and a good pretzel bun. But a big old no to putting some crap toppings on and saying you just created a dessert category. It seems to me that Marcus sometimes goes ahead with these deals because he wants to franchise or add to his complementary business stable --- which would be OK except he is going ahead with deals that he wouldn't do otherwise. Like that horrible stitch apparel company in Queens with the shady people and bad finances. And this guy who is a liar and bad people manager, petulant, stubborn, not good with finances and some personal/professional drama --- plus the recipes have to change, the process has to change, the stores have to change --- so what's good enough to go out with? The name?
