We can see that Aaron Carter looked a damn mess in his mug shot. We don't need the Wicked Witch of all people making fun of him for it. Especially since she's married to a mess herself.

Preach it mcrae.

When she said she would have gone into that woman's house with a fire bomb. I didn't laugh. If someone else had said it I probably would have. Sharon just rubs me the wrong way. So judgmental but she or her family have done worse things.

Sheryl is on fire today. I implore you guys to watch today's show, 7/18.  She made salient points about the state of the police and the community at large, in regards, to the lady that was killed by a police officer in Minnesota. She dominated the first segment of the show, she was able to show empathy, understanding and sympathy for both sides of the issue..  This is the Sheryl that I love.  Go Sheryl!

I was with Sheryl regarding the woman killed by police in Minnesota. But I found her over the top on the R. Kelly issue. It was probably the fact that she kept raising her voice. I tend to tune out people that try to argue or make a point by raising their voice. You are not going to win by shouting down everyone. I really tried to feel empathy for her, as it obviously was a trigger for her past, but the loudness of her point overpowered the message she was trying to give.

I felt bad for the Home Depot senior, but there are reasons behind it. His life is not worth whatever was stolen. You either warn people or you terminate. They have a rule to terminate. They cannot pick and choose who gets a warning and who gets fired. Hard line was anyone who tries to stop shoplifters is fired.

Julie was trying so hard not to laugh at the audiences reaction to the teachers appearance. Well Sheryl, your totally different reactions to R.Kelly and the teacher was so hypocritical. I'm finding it hard to like her today. Go Aisha, I felt like she was on fire today with her points. Especially regarding the teacher.

I find that George Lucas did nothing wrong.  It's one thing to keep his signature as a souvenir and another to sell if for profit. I wouldn't sign either.

I skipped the Sharnado star segment. Not interested.

I was proud of Sheryl for being passionate about the shooting story. She's been very vocal about many times in the past and I appreciate the way she expressed herself. I'm confused about her comments about the teacher/student relationship story. I was listening when Julie introed the story and Sharon laughed and cracked jokes about the woman's appearance (her usual bitchy behavior) and I must've spaced out because then the next thing I heard was Sara call Sheryl out for being hypocritical and Aisha making the point that even if the kid had done a full-on Magic Mike strip tease for her he is still a minor and she's a full grown woman who should've known better than to cross the line. Then I heard Sheryl joke that she'd share her opinion during the break because they were out of time. I would've checked to see if the episode was On Demand, but didn't feel like sitting through endless commercials.

Sheryl actually didn't say much. She did a lot of mugging and smirking throughout the whole segment. This made it obvious to me that she "approved" of the older teacher sexing up her student. When Sara called her out about how different her reaction was from the R.Kelly segment she tried to say that it was because R.Kelly had a video and a court case. BS. To her R. Kelly is a predator keeping 6 of age women "captive". Yet a 54 year old woman sexing a minor at age 17 is "Ok".  Nothing that she could have said in between segments can make any kind of sense to me. WTH Sheryl?

Thanks, Mikita. I wonder if they'll make Sheryl explain herself and/or apologize tomorrow. Whether she's forced to or does it of her own free will, she should.

Hmmmm.....I wonder how strict they are with this rule, though? Seems a little harsh to fire him. I would have understood a meeting, a write-up, or even a 3 day suspension, but not for him to be fired. I wonder if it had anything to do with ageism and they jumped at the first chance to get rid of him.

  • Love 2

It's about liability.  If they didn't fire this guy, the next employee who tried to stop a shoplifter could say he did it because it didn't warrant a termination.  And if this guy got his face punched out, he could try and sue Home Depot for not providing a safe work space.  Home Depot wants to keep their employees safe, and themselves free from liability.

It made no sense to me why she would make light of something like that. Boys are also victims of sexual abuse.  She should know that very well as a victim of sexual assault, the complex emotions that victims feel and why they remain silent. This goes to show you how double standards are so entrenched in society, that someone with Sheryl's past would find nothing wrong with what the teacher did with her student.  The teacher was wrong, she has all the power in the situation, regardless of her gender.

  • Love 6

I like Sheryl, usually, but yesterday it felt to me that she was defending the police officer, simply because he was an officer. I can't wait till we find out more on this story but it seems incredible that he would have thought she was a threat. If he was spooked by a firecracker as some media have been saying, than he is not police material. Why was the safety possibly off and why were the cameras not on?

As for today , I agree 100% with everyone who was irked, to say the least, at the Ed Sheeran appearance on GOT. It took me right out of the show. Not to mention, I can't stand his songs. It was stunt casting. What they said about the other actors on the show being famous for other shows does not make sense. They are actors. He is a "singer". I was pissed to see him, nothing personal , I can think of many other non actor casting that would make me feel the same way.

When are they going to get the message that the lovely Mrs. O is a horrid person and get rid of her? She was angry that the charity auctioned off her donations and used the money to help the poor. Bitch.

Exactly and I'm even more disappointed that Sheryl didn't own up to how wrong she was and apologize. I know folks have to have been blowing up her social media about it. Then again this is the same woman who apologized for making a distasteful joke about "nappy" hair being ugly two years after she said it...

I know I shouldn't be surprised by anything anymore when it comes to her, but WTF?! is wrong with her?! Now that she's back full time I tune out as soon as she starts speaking so I missed that part. Somebody please drop a bucket of water on that bitch already.

Sigh. I just checked my dvr. Really? Did the networks learn nothing from before? I even agreed with Sharon the other day. They had better not interrupt the show. I know that both CBS and ABC did it, not sure about the other networks. They learned nothing from the 90's apparently. Daytime tv never recovered from the O.J. Simpson trial coverage. That trial coverage on the networks is the very reason why there are only four soaps left today. Viewers left and never came back. They either found alternate viewing on cable or just found something else to do. I guess it was too much to ask for them to miss the parole hearing of the century. The worst part.  They  interrupt and then instead of going back to the interrupted program, they have to talk about what we just watched like were not intelligent enough to understand what we just saw and heard.

Exactly. I watched Thursday's show on demand and when they talked about the possible outcome for the parole hearing Sheryl joked that if OJ is released he can "take a stab" at life. Julie had a half-hearted smile, but she was clearly uncomfortable and said she couldn't stand behind that joke. What is with Sheryl lately?

I saw the first half of Friday's show before they were interrupted by the press conference following Sean Spicer's resignation. Sharon was there and being her usual know-it-all self so I didn't bother watching the rest on demand.

Brandy (the singer) is supposed to guest host tomorrow, a comic named Anjelah Johnson sits in on Tuesday and Jordin Sparks Wednesday. I'm hoping Aisha isn't the one missing, but we'll see.

I didn't even bother to watch it on demand. I was just too annoyed that they interrupted for that.

Sheryl is all over the place. She is either very wise in giving out her opinions or her buffoonery is on a horrific level. Is something going on  in her  private life?  I do like her and she better be careful with Julie.. Julie is Mrs. Moonves and she has a lot of power..

Thankfully the show's been Red Dragon Lady free two days in a row. :) After Jordin Sparks tomorrow, Nico Tortorello and Niki Glasser fill in Thursday and Friday.

Yesterday she said her disabled sister is in a home and will most likely stay there permanently. I noticed a few times over the last week or so she said she was living alone and I wondered where her sister was. I feel bad for her about that, but hopefully she'll dial back the distasteful "humor" a bit. I'll even take "Aunt Gladys at the swap meet" and "1-800-Rent-a-black-mama" over that other mess.

Listening to the audio of those soulless teens laughing at and taunting that man who drowned in Florida was chilling. I'd hate to be them on Judgment Day.

Yes they do, but some videos are beyond horrendous.  I don't mind the road rage ones & a customer trying to stop a thief, but those kids made my heart hurt!!

That one along with the girl who killed her sister in the car accident and kept repeating "but I don't care!" Fucked up.

I agree, Medicine Crow, I heard about the video about the kids and the drowning man, there's no way I could watch that.

Thankfully they didn't show the footage of the drowning man. Hearing the audio was awful enough.

Speaking of awful videos, what about the one today featuring the men dragging the shark to death with their boat? Watching stuff like that makes me sad for humanity.

  • Love 6

I cannot believe that there are human beings that would just stand there and laugh at someone drowning. I don't care if they are teens. Awful human beings. Maybe they couldn't swim? Call for help. I can understand not going into the water if you cannot swim, as it would be dangerous and could result in the loss of both rescuer and victim. But to do nothing and actually mock this poor man as he died..........

The girl that live streamed killing her sister. There is something wrong with her. Was it the alcohol? Is it just her way of speaking? Who says "I don't care" about killing their little sister? Unbelievable.

People are just stupid. You film yourself doing everything don't you? Let's drag an animal to death and film it. I don't care if it's a shark. Animal cruelty. I hope they go to jail.

They all need to go to jail. What a week and it's not even over yet.

I hate to dehumanize human beings,  but, they are sub-humans.  They are psychopaths/sociopaths with no conscience and empathy. I remember seeing a video of a mother lion and her family trying their best to save a little lion cub from drowning.  They were all there for it, coaxing it back to land. The cub survived it's ordeal and was greeted with love and comfort by it's family.  It was heartwarming to see.  If Animals can have some type of empathy and compassion for their own kind. What does that say about us, as a race, with these videos showing, the worst of us...

I was hanging out with a friend the other night and when that topic came up her friend (who I usually avoid since she rubs me the wrong way) said she didn't see what the uproar was all about because "sharks are predators". When my friend called her out for showing empathy for a dog who was tied to a car and brutally beaten she said it was different because "dogs are man's best friend". Needless to say, I called it a night. I cannot deal with that level of stupidity.

I've been enjoying the week without "she who sends people she hates boxes of poo", but I'm afraid she might be back next week. I hope I'm wrong though.

That was a wonderful send-off and I enjoyed seeing the old clips (especially the Jacksons one where she fell). Aisha is one of those people who seems like a joy to work with and when she leaves a place she could pop back in anytime and be welcomed.
