Loved this episode, especially David's reaction to his doppelgänger. Just wish that he had more lines as his imitation of David was pretty spot on.

Must say when i read the synopsis i wasn't expecting Wendy to be the ex colleague. Was a nice surprise.

Wasn't a fan so much of the dead cat B-plot. But did love the return of Moria's pronunciation of baby.

Also, I want David's jersey.

I did not like this episode at all. The only good things for me were David and Alexis's Tamagotchi conversation and the David-alike guy. Everything else was cringey in a way that I thought the show had mostly moved past.

I really wish David had interacted more with his doppelgänger because man, did Antonio sound like him!

I love that David still holds a grudge about Alexis killing his Tamagotchis.

I was surprised that Moira, of all people, referred to a chaise lounge rather than a chaise longue.

Yeah, I cringe-fast-forwarded through most of the cat plot and whatever Alexis and Ted got up to. I loved David's final "murderer" whisper-hissed at Alexis as he and Stevie departed.

It's Valentino but sadly appears to be unavailable.

What's up with Canadian tv recently and people having sex in other people's spaces?  It creeped me out a few weeks ago on Kim's Convenience and it creeped me out here.

I'm glad to hear that Rose thinks that Stevie is remarkable in her role. I'm looking forward to seeing what the show looks like!

Loved David and his doppelganger, and with the rest of you, would have liked to see more. I hope Antonio's clothes are cheap knockoffs of David's originals. I'll have to go back and see his first visit to the Apothecary.

Speaking of which, I do hope David and Patrick (well, Patrick) are creating an online presence to sell their high-priced products to a larger, urban market. Their place makes me think of this. (also run by a telegenic gay couple who ended up in a small town.)

What the heck is a tamagotchi?

I'll never understand how David and Patrick make one red cent off that store. There's never anyone there and it seems more like one of those niche stores that someone who already has money does in retirement or just for fun.

Ha! I knew what business that was going to be before I clicked on it.

And it helps that they won the Amazing Race to help finance their business.

I really didn't like the roadkill portion of the episode.  Why they walked into a stranger's home and stayed is beyond me.  I thought it was nice that they wanted to tell the family, but at that point it was the parents' responsibility to tell their daughter.  Just creeped me out that the family was keeping them there (okay, maybe I've seen too many horror movies...).

Loved seeing Wendy again and her line about how David always helps her.  Yes, yes he did/does.  The episode in which David and Alexis negotiate Wendy's deal with the Australian Blouse Barn is one of my favorites.

I always enjoy Stevie and David together and enjoyed the flea market story.

I think it helps that (1) they take things on consignment so that they don't have to lay out a lot of money in advance to purchase all of the products they sell and (2) they sell a lot of products made by local/nearby businesses so people in the surrounding areas are more apt to be supportive and buy something because they know that they're supporting their neighbor's cousin's ex-girlfriend's cheese business. I'm not 100% clear on the building (I remember that David said he was buying the business, but did he also buy the building?) but if he isn't paying rent because he owns the building, that takes out a huge chunk of their overhead costs.

I completely agree. This was way too tropey of a b plot for me. Usually this show is smarter than that.

I thought the flea market scenes were fantastic.

Now you're making me imagine David and Patrick trying to eat fish eyes in China....

Well, once word gets around that you're selling "tea" that is really marijuana...

I don't get it, either. That's the kind of expensive boutique that only does well in an area with either a lot of affluent people or a lot of tourists. Working-class locals might shop in such a place occasionally for a gift or a special treat, or something really minor like a lip balm, but I don't really believe Jocelyn as the sort of person who pays $10 for applesauce, and they don't seem to have enough traffic to make enough small purchases to add up to livable earnings. Maybe if the building is part of what owning the town means, so they don't have to pay rent? I wish we ever knew what the Roses actually own.

Although David does still live at the motel for free. Maybe Patrick is secretly independently wealthy. He didn't think very long about giving up his job to join this risky enterprise with a flaky partner.

I love Schitts Creek, but I turned the TV off immediately after they hit & killed the cat. I was kinda surprised to see that scene in such a normally gentle show. I'm sure I'm oversensitive/over-reacting; I don't have to be told they didn't do it intentionally, but still. I stopped watching Stranger Things after the cat died, too. I'm weird about that stuff, I guess.

Patrick and David should negotiate deals to supply all the area spas with posh local products, since going to spas is apparently the top recreation in the area and there are enough spas that Stevie can hop from one to the next with her newlyweds scheme all the time.

I continue to be disappointed that they haven't actually done any rebranding at the motel. I want new decor! They could improve that little place so much just by chucking a bunch of stuff into the dumpster and repainting!

So I guess I was the only one who found Alexa and Ted’s bad-porn attempts to spice up their sex life hilarious. It was terrible of Alexa to do that when she had a job to do for David, but David knew what she was like. Ted being totally game but not that great at improv was very true to character.

Like everyone else, I was more on edge than entertained by the horror house with the dead cat. (Oh, Moira, SO tone deaf mentioning the spa!) And I loved the flea market story. Poor Wendy and her boyfriend situation!

I agree. The cat plot was boring.

David and Antonio were good. I loved the end when David whined that he didn't want to touch anything after he found out Alexis had sex there. 😄   I would be the same way.  David is the best character. My fave.

I'm so disappointed.  I had JUST posted about how much I loved "Honestly, what kind of a kitten befriends a giraffe?!?" and how it was the first and only time a show has made an animal death funny to me.  Well, this?  Was the opposite of that.  Cuppy remains the the exception to the rule.  #RIPCuppy
