Grant Gustin (“The Flash”), Nick Robinson (“Jurassic World”), William H. Macy, Felicity Huffman, T.I., Kathy Bates and John Leguizamo are starring in the independent dramedy “Krystal” with Macy directing.

Great Point Media is producing with principal photography starting in April in Atlanta. The film is being produced by “Dallas Buyers Club” producer Rachel Winter and Dan Keston, who have been developing the project since 2002.

Written by Will Aldis, the story centers on a young man (played by Robinson) who has never had a drink in his life and upon meeting the woman of his dreams — an ex-hooker-stripper-junkie-alcoholic — pretends to be in Alcoholics Anonymous to try and woo her.

It's nice for her to be allowed to look nice for a change.   The Arrow makeup department was just a bit too gungho in making her look starved and exhausted.

I thought she was gorgeous in her guest spot on SPN.  Well the second one when she was hot soul hooker not a ghost fancy lady although she was pretty for a ghost

I don't think the Poppy actress was that great, but her material was exceptionally bad this year. If she is able to book jobs outside of Arrow, good for her. I doubt I will specifically look for any of her projects because even if her writing was crap, her acting tolerable, she never inspired me to actual want to watch her on screen. I have experienced some bad acting in my time, but even the worst actors can sometimes inspire you to want to watch just how bad they can be.

Tom Amandes was on The Magicians a few weeks ago.  He played the father of one of the female main characters.  It was just a minor role, but I've not read the books, so I don't know if he'll pop up again or not.  That show is kind of weird, and I'm not sure if I like it or not?  The girl that plays Julia looks so much like season 1 KC, it's kind of freaky:  here's a photo (with a spoilery article attached...so beware if you are avoiding spoilers).

He was in a toga at an orgy no doubt.  I caught that ep in bits and parts while working and like you I don't know what to think of the show.  Is there some genre that is like magical soft porn or something?

I haven't had a chance to see Sens8 yet but from what I've heard, definitely soft porn.

Um, I guess I've misunderstood? I've thought it was said about Magicians.

PS Oh jeez, I've just accidentally got spoiled about Sens8. It's my fault for still not finding time and motivation to watch it beyond the pretty dull pilot, though.

Most of the cast just provide voices over the phone (EBR is Caitlin's voice)...

Axis (2017)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4971346/

On the morning he is set to star in a career-changing blockbuster film, an Irish actor trying to live down his rocky past confronts a series of devastating events that threaten his sobriety, his loved ones, and ultimately his life.

AXIS by Aisha Tyler - Kickstarter
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/axisfilm/axis

Additionally, we’ll need about 20 hours of additional dialogue recording (ADR) for all the voices of the characters that Tristan will interact with on the phone while he’s in the car. These will be played by actors you probably know, including Jerry Ferrara (ENTOURAGE), Emily Bett Rickards (ARROW), Paula Malcomson (RAY DONOVAN), Kirsten Vangsness (CRIMINAL MINDS), Ted McGinley (MARRIED WITH CHILDREN) and myself (ME), along with fabulous others. So that we can work around these actors’ busy schedules, ADR will start in late April and continue up to the point we start filming. We’ll move into post-production immediately after filming and, with your help, have a finished film by Fall.

Axis sounds like a similar premise to a Tom Hardy movie I watched recently - Lockehttp://www.imdb.com/title/tt2692904/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_11

Locke actually had the actors phone in their dialogue to Tom Hardy from a hotel conference room while he was on set in a car. It was really well done. ETA: Aisha mentions Locke in the Kickstarter. Anyhoo, see Locke, it was good! :D

Jax on LoT and Dinah on Arrow also IMO might just be suffering from this problem. Guess that makes PB even better of an actor than I thought.

Well every time Quinton gets angry he turns into a ornery British guy, so I think maybe it's him not focusing so much on keeping his accent from slipping.

And omfg, I'm so dumb, I just now realized, for the first time ever that that was PB in Dresden Files. God, I'm slow.

Just caught SA on Hung on HBO. I forgot just how naked he was in this show..But I kid you not, the scenes with Emily are sexier. Part of the problem is he just looks SO YOUNG because he's clean shaven and I'm just thinking if he was scruffy it would have helped. He gets to exercise his comedic chops more. He's a little bit dorky in Hung too.
