Faith did indeed come running into Chelsea’s studio interrupting Chelsea and Chloe because her birthday is coming up and she has nothing to wear! She begs Chelsea to help her out with a dress and says she can pay her $20. That’s pretty much what’s Chelsea’s dresses are worth, heh. Chloe is happy and they get started altering a dress for Faith to wear to her party.

Show.  Are you fucking kidding me?  Does this kid not have Amazon Prime and/or her own credit card?  Aren't Sharon and Drinnki vying to see who can get her the 'bestest' dress evah?

LOL to the bolded part.

This one might be short because it’s been a few hours since I watched and it’s not as fresh in my mind. AIso, I just finished watching “Lethal Weapon” and I’m still giddy. It’s such a good show, y’all.

Ahem.

So it’s Faith’s birthday party and everyone is invited! Chelsea brings the dress over to the cottage where Faith, Nick and Sharon are gathered. Faith is trying to decide which headband to wear. Chelsea is the tiebreaker and votes in Nick’s favour.

Dylan is over at the coffee house setting it up for Faith’s birthday. Mariah is with him and asks him, as a detective, if he can figure out when people are lying. Dullen asks her what this is about and she admits it’s about Chloe, who has been acting sketchy the past three weeks. Which, btw, coincides with Adam’s death. This fact is not lost on Dullen.

Cane, Victoria and Billy are at the office when Travis shows up with Katie and Johnny. While Cane looks on in disbelief, Travis, the kids, and Victoria leave for Faith’s birthday party. When they are gone, Cane asks Billy if he’s seriously okay with the fact that Travis is in his kids’ lives, getting them dressed, and making them breakfast. Billy says he is and appears rather zen about the whole thing. Cane tells Billy that he didn’t take it well at all when Joe took his kids to a baseball game. Billy points out that’s different since he and Lily weren’t divorced at the time. Cane needs to shut up. If Victoria marries Travis, he will be their stepfather and he’d better get along her with children. Seriously, shut up Cane.

Everyone is at the party; Faith gets cake, and stocks, and a pony from Victor, naturally.

At one point, Chloe and Victor are discussing the fact that Dullen has stopped investigating them. Victor makes a comment about how that’s how restraining orders work. I’m pretty sure that’s a lie but whatever. Dullen interrupts them, instantly suspicious. Dullen makes a comment about possibly being arrested since Victor has a restraining order against him but Victor graciously says they can put that aside for Faith’s party and they shake hands. Nikki and Sharon watch on as though pigs have suddenly decided to take flight in the coffee shop.

Everyone has cake despite the guest list being extensive and the cake being quite small. Faith makes a wish for Nick to be happy. Faith reveals this fact later to Chelsea when she and Nick drop Chelsea and Connor off at the penthouse.

At one point during the party, Nikki and Sharon are actually getting along and discuss Sully, who is starting to take his first steps. Nikki mentions that Sully is the youngest of the grandchildren to start walking, especially taking into account that his first birthday is only in November and Sharon gets the bug eyes again. Don’t ever become a professional poker player, Sharon.

Mariah gets into an altercation with Chloe, who she feels is using Kevin, and quits Chelsea 2.0.

Chloe, at one point, makes mention that Sharon seems to be pushing Chelsea together with Nick. First off, I don’t see that. Secondly, shut up Chloe. She’s been acting like she has a crush on Chelsea lately. It’s a weird vibe especially since I don’t think she swings that way. And I know Chelsea doesn’t. Anyway, I digress.

After the party, Victor is at the GCAC and offers Travis another job, with his choice of division. It would appear Travis accepts his offer.

Meanwhile, Lily is pissed to learn that Hilary is now a correspondent/reporter for the GC Buzz. Lily starts badmouthing Hilary, accusing this of being her idea, and finally fed up Devon tells her it was actually his idea.

Everyone watches the report of Hilary that airs and seems impressed. And Lily has to eat a bit of crow because she showed up at Brash and Sassy to tell Cane and Billy about Hilary’s new job, and how she was probably going to throw people under the bus. And rather, she gave a pretty nice and neutral talk about Phyllis and Jack.

Previews show Michael coming to Jabot and telling Jack that Phyllis will forego any money on one condition, and Victoria telling Travis that just the other day he said he didn’t want to work for her father so what suddenly changed?

And Ashley talking to Billy.

B: "She's determined to get Jack back."

A: "I know. That's why we're having this conversation."

B" "My point is, when Phyllis puts her mind to something..."

A: "I know. Nothing ever changes it....she's such a bitch."

That was fucking gold.

I love how they're playing to ED's Real Housewives strengths. lol.

I am SUCH a fan of this dude. And I've always felt that I'm a difficult person when it comes to newbies. Usually I'm very resistant bc soaps have a history of pissing me off in this department. But MR is someone I've come to really like and appreciate.

On the iPad tonight so this will be quick. Plus, I spent half the episode on the phone with the cable company.

Phyllis is insisting that Jack allow her to work at Jabot. Jack has a fit of rage when Michael approaches him about it and pushes a bunch of stuff off a table. Jack goes to Phyllis about getting out of his life and just taking a settlement but she's insistent. Phyllis reminds Jack that they didn't sign a pre-nup and she could ask him for half ownership of Jabot. Jack gives in and Phyllis shows up at Jabot in a sexy dress. Jack shows Phyllis to her new office which is basically a storage closet. He dumps a bunch of files on her desk and says he wants them reconciled by tomorrow.

Vicky is mad at Travis for taking Victor's offer. She doesn't want to lose him or have her dad beak them up. Travis assures her Victor won't and Travis is older and more mature and won't let his job consume him. After dropping off Victoria at Brash and Sassy, Travis and Ashley get stuck in the Jabot elevator together.

Nick is annoyed with Sharon for trying to push him and Chelsea together. He's also annoyed about the fact that Faith might have made a comment to Chelsea at her bday party about that very thing. He tells Sharon off and tells her to butt out of his life and storms off. Faith comes downstairs and sees Nick leaving. Faith asks if she did anything wrong and Sharon assures her she did not. Faith thinks Sage would want Nick to be happy.

Chelsea is freaking out with Chloe about the hug she had with a Nick and the comment Faith made at the party. Nick shows up, they clear the air and all is good.

Faith gets a mysterious doll and Sharon gets a phone call. It's Patty! She asks Sharon if Faith likes the doll she got her. Heh.

That's pretty much all I can recall.

And...today showed why Billy's "apology" to Jack was BS. He continues to interact w/ Phyllis, to make sure she knows what they had was ~real~ and she's pretending with Jack, and then later yells to Jack that Phyllis doesn't want him, as if Jack is the crazy one who won't just take Phyllis back. WTF.

Is Ashley gonna coug Travis?  Because Victoria looked like she'd caught Ashley zipping his fly.

I hate to say this, but if they're gonna keep bitter Jack scolding Phyllis it's, to quote biscuitbutt, gonna get old real fast.  None of this shit is funny.  (One thing Y&R doesn't do well is comedy, bar Marge and sometimes Patty.)  I wish they'd opted to have Phyllis and Jack do the battling Abbotts in a long, drawn out, bitter divorce that ends in reconciliation.

Poor Stitch and Abby.... wanna bet they're moving to... um... Switzerland because Stitch got a job in a clinic there and Max can get a new brain in it.

I LOVE IT. I hope it's just getting started. How many months did we watch Phyllis defend Billy? Spit at Jack about he is failing her? Fuck Billy behind his back? Angry Jack has been about a day. And it's awesome. It's absolutely understandable too. She betrayed him completely in every way on every level. If they want Phack to reconcile or even just to redeem Phyllis at all, she has to be contrite. Battling Jack in a divorce after what she did would be beyond hateful. I don't think they're going for a bitchy Jill Abbott starting her men's line story here.

Right? Every day he's more loathsome. Vicki says she loves Travis, and Billy goes and tries to start some shit with Phyllis. He's an infant. As I said though Billy is not bottomed out yet. I don't think show wants to have him ending up with Vicki as some consolation prize. He'll have his moment when he sees the light re: his "true love" Victoria and that indeed Phyllis was "pretending." But they need to set up Travis Vicki drama first.

Yes, everybody loves Travis like everybody loved "blue eyed" Dylan. It's heavy handed to tell the audiences how pretty he looks. The more the show beats me over the head with the idea, the more I rebel.

Normally I'm the same. I can't stand being told a character is awesome. But I love this guy. In many ways he's a relief from from the Billy overload of the past seven months. He's a breath of fresh, pleasant air after that putrid miserable whining bag of shit who has been on every single episode and is apparently the most desirable man known to humanity.

Unlike SB and JT, Michael Roark really is hot, can act and has charisma and chemistry with other actors. He didn't get some big ass confetti or promo welcome like they did either. And apart from Jill who has gone on about his looks?

We are watching two totally different shows. Lol.

This guy has average run of the mill looks and I think JT looks 10 times better. He is wooden and stilted in his delivery with not an ounce of charisma. Hes very monotone. And I don't get why he's still on the show when I feel he only came on as something for vikki to do cause her fans were screaming that she was alone while Philly were happening. He's only still around because MY listened to the same screaming fans on twitter after he was fired.

Honestly, I think most of the interest in him comes in that he's not Billy and some folks want to see Billy suffer and lose out. The fact that Vikki moved this virtual stranger in the house with unlimited access to her kids disgusts me. She's a terrible mother for it. Yet, folks are fawning over him with her kids. I feel like I'm living in the Twilight zone. And no matter how many times the show uses the characters (Jill and Ashley) to tell me how pretty he is, I will not buy it. He's not.

I really do not believe Mal Young makes story decisions based on Twitter stans. If they decided to turn Travis into -- I don't know -- a pedophile, they'd shut down that noise in five minutes.

As for chemistry, charisma, hot or not, that's subjective. No point in arguing. I was simply expressing why I like him and don't mind his character being praised on the show.

I'm with you. I've liked Travis from the start and have really enjoyed him in the episodes I have seen. (I have yet to see today's US.)  MR is a natural actor and seems to have chemistry with everyone. (Even Victor/EB!) I'm hoping they integrate him more with the rest of the cast and give him more of a story line than just being Vicky's boyfriend.  I love that they made him the anti-Buttbiscuit.  Travis is smart, good looking, dependable and has a conscience and scruples. Everything NeverBilly isn't. No wonder JFP wanted to get rid of him. He made her little Buttbiscuit look like a sniveling ass in comparison,

Looking forward to seeing Phyllis escorted to her new office. I hope Jack continues to make her miserable at Jabot.

Fortunately Johnny and Katie have a parent who embodies virtue and sets a fine moral example. I refer, of course, to Buttbiscuit, Father of the Year and back alley barber shop victim. From the warmth and respect he offers his relatives to his relentless work ethic , Billy is the quintessential paternal paragon. Not every kid can say their daddy literally shot a man just to watch him die or use him as a science project (concave ass: efficient fecal matter delivery system or human devolution?) It is difficult to say who will benefit most from carefully observing Billy's treatment of women, Johnny or Katie.

I think a lot of Vic fans like Travis because he treats her well (so far). And I don't blame them at all for not wanting to watch Vic cry over Billy while he acts like Phyllis is the love of his life, which is super, super insulting.

I agree and I don't blame them either. Just saying i think this little boost he's getting isn't cause there is something so special about him. It's cause he benefits from the Billy hate. We saw this exact same thing two years ago with Stitch. He got the same boost. That quickly faded. I guess we will see how Travis fairs.

Travis >>>> Billy.

There really is no contest there and I totally get why people fawn over him. There is nothing slightly interesting about Billy (or JT's portrayal of him). They lost their recent heartthrob, so he fills the new void. I mean he is hot. That definitely helps a lot. I never got the Stitch hype. I do think he benefited from the fact David Tom was just atrocious and then along came Burgess who had a rough start. Michael Roark is pretty boy attractive ala Justin Hartley, so yeah.

Speaking of Billy. Wow was he very annoying in this episode. Was he really hurt because Victoria said she loved Travis? He was full on defending the great Villy love story and keep going on how she couldn't even say the word. So when she checks his ego, he goes running to Phyllis who turns around and does it too. Then he whines because people are tired of hearing him whine.

Why is he so lame?

Agreed.

And as far as I know, no fans rented a plane to fly over the studio with a Surrender Dorothy banner like they did to save Cane and Lily.  And MR, an actor with talent, charm and looks versus JT, who resembles a hand puppet in a traveling porn road show - not that there's anything wrong with that - me like!

I agree 100%. I don't think Travis came on because of Philly. They created him because Victoria never is without a love interest on the show. If they didn't want him back then he would have stayed gone when JFP fired him. They have no issues firing anyone else. See Marisa, Sage, Luca, etc. And now his character is interacting with everyone and apparently get a backstory. There seems to be real interest in the actor and character. It might not last but frankly that goes with everyone since a new regime is kicking off. A lot of these stories can and likely will change.

Good point. The other thing was Billy had just cheated with Kelly after treating Vicki like shit for weeks, and it was good to see her with another guy who was nice to her. So that fed the "Sticky" support IMO.

The fans didn't need to fly a plane. They just bombarded MY and AMcD on social media. And only after a month of this, was the guy brought back. If the show was so enamored of him and his talents, he would have never been fired in the first place.

That's it exactly, Ninja.  Firing MR was JFP's way of giving the show that fired her a parting FU.  MR was well received from the start which is why there was such disappointment when he left the show. I believe his firing had nothing to do with his performance but was all about JFP and her pettiness at being let go as executive producer.

I will be catching up with some of this week's shows and am looking forward to seeing how Travis and Ashley interact. I like that TPTB are no longer having characters stuck in their own restrictive orbits and are now mixing them up with a variety of characters.  It's so much more interesting and realistic than everyone stuck in scenes with the same characters day after day.

Stitch should move into the "he who should not be named" category, so far as I'm concerned. Yes, blah blah, the actor's a nice guy, and so on. Do I care? The character's pointless, the actor struggles with even basic facial expressions [I see those when looking between my fingers.], and just plays big, dumb macho object. I'm starting an immediate novena for the return of MEK, myself. The charm content of the show is a bit weak still, and MEK has it in spades, and apparently effortlessly.

To that last question, well, many a lovely person has responded already, so I'll add bad casting, poor acting, badly conceived character-rewrite, and total lack of anything even vaguely related to charm.

Okay, quick recap because I was too tired last night and now I don't remember much of what I watched, heh.

Phyllis is still hanging out in her closet. She grabs her files and tries to approach Jack stating they need to work together, or something, and Jack says there's no "we" and brushes her off. It's great. She slinks back to her broom closet. Billy visits her later and gets in her way, won't let her pass, talks about their epic love, and acts like a douchy stalker. This is after he reams Victoria about Travis getting a job at Newman and comments on the fact that Victoria said she loved Travis. Considering Victoria moved the guy into her home, I would hope she loved him. Her kids live there. Only Billy would move some lame piece of ass into his Bordello for Depressives over sex, I'm sure.

Ashley and Travis get stuck in an elevator at Jabot. It turns out they've met before. They played doubles together! The elevator finally starts working and Victoria sees them exiting the elevator together. Judging from her expression, you'd think she'd caught them having sex or something.

Michael finds Phyllis in the closet and says he can file some paperwork for her but she insists she's happy in her closet and will prove herself to Jack.

Sharon is freaking out because Patty called her and remembers that Sharon was never preggers and is in fact raising Nick and Sage's baby as her own. Sharon hangs up and unplugs the phone but then re-plugs it later that night. Patty calls her cell and Sharon starts shouting and Dullen wakes up, grabs her phone and demands to know who is threatening his wife. He tells Sharon he's going to look into it and Sharon gets the bug eyes again.

Jack is lying alone on his side of the bed and takes off his wedding ring and drops it into the bedside drawer.

Previews show Sharon at the nuthouse talking with Patty.

It doesn't hurt, honestly.

But as I lamented in the B&B thread yesterday, if I can't have decent stories, I would like some decent eye candy or at least some men whose sex appeal I can understand. To each their own, but the way Billy is written these days, I have a hard time imagining any actor bringing the sexay into the role, including Billy Miller.

Travis/MR at least is capable of smiling and normal human behavior.

So Nick is at the park with Chelsea and Connor. Nick is attempting to fix Connor's broken truck and appears completely baffled. Then he starts acting weird. After some prodding by Chelsea, Nick admits he misses Christian and Sage. Nick says he was a crap dad to Noah, and he had hoped to have a second chance with Christian. They discuss the whole 'Sharon trying to get them together thing' and both admit they are still grieving and just friends. Then they proceed to roll around on a blanket together with Connor looking like one big happy family. Friends, my ass. I give it a month and a half. Oh, and at one point, Nick says he likes to think Adam is up in heaven looking out for Christian while he's looking out for Connor. It's a nice thought, but I have my doubts that Adam is up in heaven. Maybe purgatory.

Sharon is at the cottage trying to convince Dullen that she doesn't have a stalker and to not look into the phone calls. Dullen isn't having it, especially after Mariah comes down the stairs, asks what's happening, and proceeds to freak out over Sharon having a stalker. Mariah convinces Dullen he needs to look into this now, despite Sharon's crazy eyes. Dullen heads down to the station, where he's asked a busy, and frazzled Kevin to trace the calls. Once Dullen leaves, Sharon tells Mariah she knows who is behind the calls. Patty. Mariah says Sharon must have known that Patty wouldn't have disappeared forever but Sharon had hoped. Sharon sends Mariah down to the police station to text her any news on Dullen and Kevin and their progress while she sets up a play date with Paul and Sully at the park.

Sharon runs into Nick and Chelsea at the park and Chelsea is still peeved that Sharon tried to push her and Nick together. Sharon apologizes and says it won't happen again, and she'll have a talk with Faith. Sharon asks if she still has a job, and Chelsea says as long as she can trust her she does. Sharon promises not to do it again.

Paul and Connor have their play date while Sharon asks Paul about Christine (she finally won a case) and Patty, who is about the same. Sharon then decides to go visit Patty and texts Mariah to let her know.

Mariah is at the station and Kevin finds out that the calls came from a cell phone. He's trying to figure out where the calls originated from. Dullen, btw, has bribed Kevin with donuts to take time out of his busy schedule and help him figure out who's stalking Sharon.

Sharon goes to the nuthouse and visits with Patty. Patty is pretty lucid considering she's nuts. She again threatens to tell Dullen the truth, and doesn't seem fazed when Sharon says she can have Patty's phone taken away from her.

Abby is avoiding Stench because he wants her to go see a fertility specialist and she's still on birth control. Summer tells Abby to talk to her husband and Abby goes down to the hospital to see him. They talk in the nurse's lounge and stare at every nurse who comes in and interrupts them to get food. Doctors have a right to eat. Go talk outside, asshats. Seriously, how rude and inconsiderate, gah. Anyway, they talk, Abby comes clean about the birth control. They agree to talk, they still love one another, they need to communicate more, etc.

And that's about all I can recall.

I think it had a lot more to do with trying to protect "her new boy". That's it. She'd probably been getting an ass full about the state of "her" show and how she'd set everything up over the past seven months (and well before that) to usher in her brand new shiny toy. Only thing is, though, is the simple fact that the overwhelming majority hate this guy, his new miserable highjacked character, and the Munster manse that his benefactor "redecorated" to enthrone him. I'd bet MY hired MR (or he was instrumental in the decision) and JFP decided to fire him to flip him the finger for replacing her worthless and destructive ass, but I'm totally convinced it was her last salvo in trying to save her boy's ass.

Abby staying on birth control is the smartest thing the character has ever done since the Naked Heiress days.

I'm trying to imagine (when I really should be doing my best NOT to picture such a thing) what a child from brainless Abby and Stench the bread bowl would look like and all I'm getting is a very flaky Pop Tart......

On the iPad again.

Phyllis is still trying to put the moves on Jack at work and he's still not havin it. She reminds him that he's said in the past that she's invaluable and he tells her sometimes we eat our words. Ashley keeps telling Phyllis just to quit but she refuses. Ashley later tells Jack that Phyllis is stubborn. Jack insists he's also stubborn, but not like Phyllis, Ashley insists. Ashley tells Jack Phyllis will never quit despite all the busywork Jackie is giving her. Jack finally sends Phyllis home because he doesn't want to pay her overtime. Phyllis sashays out of the office.

Billy is still acting like a child about Travis. He's bugging Victoria because she's distracted and keeps looking at her phone. Billy insists that Victoria should go visit Travis for lunch because she's not paying any attention to work. Victoria leaves for Newman much to Billy's amusement.

Travis is making quite an impression on everyone at Newman. He even manages to charm the cafeteria cook and scores Adam's office. Travis insists he wants Adam's office, and not Victoria's, because he wants to make an impression and not look like he slept his way to the top.

Abby and Summer tell Victoria that everybody at Newman and loves Travis. Travis gets some mysterious flowers on his desk the name on the card says Michelle. We then see Travis walking through Chancellor Park. Ashley sees Travis and says hi and he asks her why did she send him flowers.

Abby tells Summer that she and Stench spoke and that they are going to wait on having a baby and work on their marriage but Abby does not look happy and Summer comments on it.

Sharon goes to visit Patty at the hospital. Patty threatens to reveal the truth about Sully. Patty says the only way she will keep quiet is if Sharon helps her escape from the hospital. Sharon agrees to help Patty if she hands over the cell phone she stole from a repairman. Patty gives Sharon the phone wrapped in one of her drawings.

Meanwhile, Dylan tracks down the owner of the phone. The owner is a repairman who insists that he lost his phone a few days ago. Dylan drags him down to the station and he gives Dullen a list of places he worked the day his phone went missing.

Mariah goes to one of the places the repairman was working, a bar, and wipes the phone down before tossing it on the ground.

Meanwhile, Dullen is back at the cottage and notices one of the places the repairman worked was Patty's hospital. Sharon gets crazy eyes again.

Previews show Mariah getting caught by Kevin trying to leave the bar. He asks what she's doing there. Travis tells Vicky he lied to her. Ashley asks Abby why doesn't she seem more happy that Stitch promised to work on their marriage?

Can I say how much I'm loving Jack's new wardrobe. Greys and blacks and no tie. wowza. He's working on revenge on Newman. Phyllis will horn in on this -- that was obvious with him hiding his laptop from her.

Billy is such a douche BAG. Sulking off because Victoria tells him everyone loves Travis. Continuing to push Phyllis to give up on her plan to salvage her marriage. I did enjoy her clear-eyed declaration that while she may not know exactly what she wants, she knows she doesn't want Billy. lol.

YES!  Yes yes yes you most definitely can.  And may I concur?  The wardrobe, the open collars (including the tank top in bed), the new hairstyling, the cool measured confidence of a man with no fucks to give.  <3

Right??

It was interesting after Phyllis walked out following some snarking Ashley said to Jack: "If I didn't know better, I'd say you enjoyed that."

I can't get enough of cold-hearted Jack. So if he gets off on this much deserved freeze out, excellent.

They'll probably have hate sex. Can ButtBiscuit be forced to watch? You know, because he gets so jealous at the thought of his brother having sex with his own wife. #ASShole

LoL. That was the line of the day, hands down.  Luvin' Jack at the moment and can only hope it lasts a while.  Having become conditioned by Show to throttle my enjoyment after having the rug pulled out from under my viewing pleasure too many times, I will smoke my cigarette and bask in the afterglow of watching Jaded Jack while he is here.
