So, Adam died in an explosion again?  From this point on, every time a new guy shows up in town, Chelsea should be like "Adam? Is it you?  You can just tell me upfront.  We don't need to do this dance for months."

Was the cabin the same one that Chloe was hiding out at while Turd was in prison? That might explain how she knew where to look.

This just made me laugh.  Leave it to a soap to have one cabin where everyone hides out.  And I would fully buy that everyone in town knows about the hideout cabin, but Paul and that oak tree he spawned never think to look there.  "Welp, the only thing we can do is to keep making a loop between Chelsea's place and Victor's house, demanding that someone tell us where they could be hiding. If only we could think of some place in the area where people could be hiding out.  It's a mystery. Oh, wait, can we stop at the liquor store?  Nikki says she's running low on vodka, and asked if we could bring some with us on our next trip out there."

Pratt has destroyed yet another connected character. Why?

Chloe will never recover. Much like Neil won't recover no matter how they destroy Hilary and write her into the ground for fans to hate her. There will be nothing they can do to fix Chloe. I sure hope they aren't banking on some pairing with Chance to do the trick.

Amen.  Chelz should have it printed on cards that she hands out to every new guy she meets.

Questions:  since Adam had all that plastic surgery to become Gabe, did he just melt in this fire?  Can't the Brazilian Restoration Clinic just put a new face on the base?  How are they going to identify the body since he is not really Adam anymore?  This inquiring (and needs more to do) mind wants to know.

Wait, it just hit me. Today's CDN was the big ass much ballyhooed 11k episode?????? Are you fucking kidding me?

Mal Young promised huge shockers in this episode.

Adam "died" in an explosion (the 43rd in Pratt's tenure, right?) OMG what a shocker. Chloe is fucking psycho. Wow, I didn't know. Nick is going to play daddy to Connor and Gaspalot now. Whoa! Mind blown.

Neil Winters back story. Snooze.

#epicfail

Wait. I haven't watched yet. But Philly weren't even in this episode?! But they send those actors on the media tour....that's comedy right there.

He'll be identified by the stutterbark bone, which I understand is unique to Adam.   That, and the total absence of any trace of body hair should make identifing the remains fairly straightforward.

The next Adam should come with an "Assembly Required" tag.

Okay, Show had me laughing out loud today.  Connor is leaving a trail of stuffed animals for Paulie and Dullen to follow!  And if we want to know how Chloe found Adam, well, it was because she put a tracking device in one of those stuffed animals.  HAHAHAHA!

And a warning:  any Jack lovers out there will want to actually shoot their TV today.

I kind of like that Prick will be blamed for Adam's death, especially by his own son.  But didn't Chloe almost kill Chelz and Connor too with that explosion?

I am a Jack lover. Should I not click on the link to today's Canadian when my mother sends it to me? I mean, the whole thing about the stuffed animal snail trail has me on the edge of my seat here.

Ode to Adam

Some say that Nips will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
Chloe and Victor did conspire
A tranquilizer dart she fires.
But if Nips had to perish thrice,
I think I know enough to hate
Pratt's lame explosive device
For Chelsea's love
Nick must suffice.

Billy was a whole new level of Lifetime Movie Stalker trash today. Wow. Continuously talking over Jack's head and making a fool of him. Talking "dirty" to Phyllis when he leaves the table. And Phyllis being turned on by it was disgusting. This show really thinks this is hot and awesome. They really do. It's hysterically shortsided.

Heatlifer nails it.  It was completely nauseating when Jack Billy Ash and Phyllis go to dinner together and Billy continues to make not so veiled innuendoes, and at one point Jack toasts to Billy's future and he says something like may you get everything you want and Billy replies:  I plan on it.

Phyllis is completely uncomfortable.  Ash and Jack both leave the table and Billy actually moves to sit beside Phyllis, drooling sweet nothings in her ear and groping her under the table.

So Phyllis LIKED it???? FFS.

You guys, are we weird? Why do people like this? I seriously do not think of myself as morally uptight but this is fucking gross.

Yet Philly seems to be gaining in popularity. Is it just that phenomenon that if you shove something in people's faces long enough...?

Phyllis did her "OMG...stop...I hate you" routine, followed by letting him touch her and being OK with it. It's so old.

I don't think we're weird! Hee. I think the show believes this is comedic and hot and some of the audience does, too, because it's sex. It's dirty talk. It's two attractive people who basically want to screw in every scene. The reaction doesn't shock me.

To think that Pratt and his little writer elves believe they're producing spicy, witty banter instead of the world's saddest porn. One usually has to take a few hits off the Febreze can to reach that level of delusion. Hahahahaha, look at the Buttbiscuit taunt his oblivious brother who has no idea that the deviant rectal pastry is shagging his beloved wife. Whooooweeee, that's a knee-slapper. Billy acting like the skeeze who jerks off at the public library computers with his ex-girlfriend's panties and some Purell is so hawt, y'all.

This is one of the grosser affairs I've seen, between two morose pricks of misery who generate all the heat of a polar bear's piss puddle. And it just gets worse and worse.

Is it, though? Nothing about the relationship was organic. It was just Prattycakes and Jill Fucker Phelps' way of shoving Jason Thompson into the canvas with yet another newbie. This isn't like the Phick affair or Adam/Sharon where the producers realized the two had actual chemistry and a fan following or even Lily/Cane.

NO ONE with a basic understanding of Billy and Jack's relationship or the well earned animosity Billy had for Phyllis during the Useless Pile days would believe or want this. I'm over Villy and have been since the first time Vikki chose her daddy over Billy but good God. Just let him go to Bethany or rekindle the flame with Lily (giving him a good reason to keep the fight with Cane. With their history, the treatment he's given Jack would make sense and I'd root for his ass).

Just a head’s up but I’m going to my mom’s for the weekend so there most likely won’t be a recap tomorrow. I just can’t imagine myself typing all of this on an iPad using just my thumbs.

Anyway, PB and ED are discussing the 11,000 episode. I didn’t realize we were still doing this, because I didn’t see one yesterday. Maybe my PVR just decided not to bother. PB discusses how Jack loves being surrounded by his family, and PB can’t wait until Jack finds out about the affair. And, one of his favourite scenes was when Victor was having a heart attack and Jack walked away, but not before kicking Victor’s hand out of the way. ED discusses how her first scene was with the actor playing John, Tracey’s bulimia story line, and the scene were Victor found out she had an abortion.

Chelsea is freaking out. Nick gets out of the car and stops her from going into the burning cabin. Chelsea says she has to check on Adam, but Nick is persistent.  Chelsea, who is rather hysterical, then convinces herself that Adam must already have gotten out and is waiting for them at the air field. A passerby comes upon the scene and Nick asks her to wait for the fire trucks. When the passerby goes to direct the fire trucks, Nick and Chelsea take off, but not before the woman calls the police to notify them she saw Chelsea, Connor and who she believes to be Adam.

Nick , Chelsea and Connor arrive at the air strip. The pilot says they’re late and they have to leave in ten minutes. Chelsea asks if her husband is there. She freaks out again and Nick tries to convince her to get on the plane with Connor. Chelsea doesn’t understand how this happened since the only person who knew of the cabin was Victor. Nick and Chelsea come to the conclusion that Victor got the ultimate revenge and had his son blown up. Chelsea eventually shows up back at the penthouse with Connor and cries to Kevin and Chloe that Adam is dead.

Paul and Dullen are following leads thanks to Kevin, the passerby, and Connor who keeps dropping his toys everywhere. They arrive at the air field to see the plane taking off. The next time we see them, they’re at the penthouse ordering Chelsea to open the door because they know she’s in there.

Nick shows up at the Ranch and accuses Victurd of having his own son killed.

Earlier, Victoria showed up with Travis at the ranch to interrogate Victor on Adam’s whereabouts. Victurd played dumb, as per usual, and was super rude to Travis, asking him what his price was for stopping Summer from marrying Luca. Nikki is quite rude, as well, since she decided to become Victor’s minion. I liked it better when she was a drunk. Alas. Victoria and Travis leave, and Victor calls Travis a punk (I thought that was Billy’s nickname) and says Victoria never had good taste in men.

Billy and Phyllis and Jack and Ashley wind up having an Abbot family dinner at the GCAC. While Jack is on the phone trying to find out about Adam, and Ashley is in the washroom, Billy and Phyllis continue to gross me out. They’re holding hands, and Billy is flirting and blergh.

I think I included everything. Previews show Victor talking with Chloe and Chelsea hiding from Dullen and Paul.

Two things:

1. I assume Victor has finally graduated to total villain since Nick thinks he'd have HIS OWN SON MURDERED. Prime example of Pratt writing any scene that pushes his plot despite character history. When did Nick conclude victor was capable of murdering one of them. And if that's the case, why is he accusing Victor of murder. If he has no boundaries, wouldn't Nick think he'd be next.

2. Why is Victoria taking Travis with her to discuss serious family matters? I'm sorry, but nothing I've seen onscreen indicates theur relationship is at the point where he'd be trusted with or included in family drama with her. But, more Pratt nonsense. I assume it was an excuse to get him in scenes with Victor so we can start vikki/Billy 4.0 romance disguised as Vikki/Travis. I'll pass.

Real talk: was there ever a love interest of Victoria's that the Turd ever approved of? He hated Cole, sent the last BF that Heather Tom!Victoria had packing (Diego?), had been at it with Brad for years, was on speaking terms with JT till their divorce and hated Billy for having evil Logan Abbott blood in his DNA. I honestly don't remember whether he had an opinion on either Ryan or Neil.

I'm still stuck on the fact that Nick gives any kinds of shit about Adam at all. I'm pretty sure he was on the "Meh, Billy Did Us a Favor" bandwagon the last time everyone thought the guy was dead. Victor is scum, but that doesn't negate what he's done to Nick and especially shouldn't to Abby.

He hated Ryan and rightly so. Vikki was underage. He did like Ryan's foil, Brandon Collins, as played by Paul walker. Victor has always liked neil up until the show pushed him aside to give Michael more story and airtime as Victor's lackey.

Very OOC of Nick. But more Pratt BS. They've got to make Chelsea and nick palatable. They took the easiest route; have adam give nick his blessing.

But soaps used to have a moral centre. I know they did. This shit couldn't fly in the heyday of soaps. I mean whatever about the affair but that is Billy's brother - his devoted, loving brother with whom this show has shown decades of bonding. He openly announces he's going to take Jack's wife away from him and said wife isn't repulsed by this behaviour? It doesn't snap her out of it? Billy is beyond caricature now. Victor has more nuance. What is with Phyllis anyways? She doesn't have to stay with gross old Jack. Jill just wants her AWAY from Billy. Divorce Jack if you are so miserable and repulsed, and stop this bullshit with Billy. Leave town. Fuck off. That'd make Jill happy, and the Abbotts never need to know what you and Billy have done. This dilemma of hers is nonsensical. At least Neil was blind and Hilary and Devon felt bad telling him they were in love. This lovers' angst is asinine.

I really think the genre has reached a level of dumbing down it didn't have before. Sex and especially illicit sex always had a place on soaps, but there was a moral context - which is where stories about adultery get their emotional punch. This is fan fiction playing out.

I honestly think MAB recast Adam just for the purpose of killing him off, as she was wont to do with those characters she'd run out of ideas for or written into a hole. And shed written him into a hole deep enough to scrape bedrock. I don't think she planned on Muhney being the sensation he was.

I'll give MAB credit: she made some bad judgement calls, but ( in theory ) keeping MM Adam around wasn't one of them.

It's not prudish or uptight to recoil in revulsion at a buttbiscuit having sex with his sister-in-law, trolling his innocent brother, and oozing all over said sister-in-law as soon as her husband's back is turned. It's basic human decency.

I don't think Nick really cares about Adam. It's more like he's disgusted anew at what a foul scab his sperm donor continues to be. I feel like I'm tip toeing far too close to defending a baboon territory, so I'm going to back away slowly now.

Travis, please just haul off and kick Victor in his fossilized jewels. He respects that kind of alpha male behavior. If he doesn't? You've still done society a great service and amused the audience.

Their son, Lucky, found out when his friend, Liz, was raped in the park, in an amazing story arc about chickens coming home to roost. I was a very rare GH-watcher but this storyline was one of them. Lucky was horrified that his parents' relationship had started as a rape and blasted both of them for this. It was some truly great acting from Jonathan Jackson's Lucky and TG/GF's Luke and Laura. Sister Lulu learned the truth some time later but by then I had tuned out again.

Filling in for jewel21...

Okay, Stepford Drinki is really and truly freaking me out, even  more than batshitcrazy Chloe.  Dick accuses Prick of murdering Adam in the explosion and Drinki tells her son that if Prick is a murderer, then so is she, cause she was in on the whole thing!  It turns out Dick eventually believes Prick that he did not blow up Adam, but he still blames him for setting the whole thing in motion by framing him for murder initially.  But they hug it out.

Chloe clearly blew up the building, she flashes back to it today.  I still don't get that though, because Connor and Chelz could have been killed even being outside the building.  Oh well.  But then later she goes to Prick's house, and hides in his SUV and he conveniently shows up.  He accuses her of murdering Adam.  He calls her vicious.   Pot=Kettle.  She tells him he's going to want to hear what she has to say.  But all she actually tells him is that Chelz has been arrested for aiding and abetting and in no time will be telling his stepson that Prick set up the prison break.  Which is true.  Chelz is at the police station and tells Mikey that she would love to tell her ex how Prick set the whole thing up and she would love to see him back in prison.  Go Chelz!  Once the "authorities" tell Paulie that they found blood and tissue that matched Adam, so he must be dead for reals, Dick informs Chelz.  So what did Chloe do, cut a chunk out of a living Adam to get his blood and tissue?  Gross.  But Adam has been through worse.  Did she sprinkle it around after the explosion or before?  She's one scary psychopathic chick.

In other storylines, Neil's mother Uhura dies.  And his family bonds over the whole finding his long lost mother and now her death, even though they didn't get to meet her.  Hillary and Lily even seem to get along, for a bit.

Previews:  Ash to Jack, okay so you and Phyllis are fine, what about Billy and Phyllis?  Billy to Phyllis:  I want you, I need you, I want to be together again. (Blech!)  Dick to his half bro:  Connor's at home without either of his parents.  What would you do if that was Sully? Hmmm.  He makes a good point, with Adam "dead", Sully is an orphan.  But nobody knows.

How long ago did Christian "die" again?

Before Pratt, the one story I felt drug out entirely too long was the Daniel painting caper that ended with Sheila's offspring and sister being behind it. But that was a flash in the pan compared to....well, every story since 2013. At this rate, Sully will be out of college before anyone figures anything out.

Is the object to redeem Victor's framing Adam but Chloe being 100x worse? I do now want to see Chloe get caught and punished.

Nick crying over Adam? Wasn't it just weeks ago when Nick through Adam killed Constance and didn't even want the body exchumed to exonerate him? LOL

Sensation or not, that wasn't a choice that soaps of olden days would have made. Bill Bell would have sent him away to pay for his crimes for a few years then brought him back much like what happened with Michael Baldwin and Phyllis. That's the difference between then and now. Kevin Fisher, like Adam, would also have had to pay.

Yes, so viewers can now root for Victor to get justice for Adam as opposed to rooting for Victor to pay for what he did to Adam. I truly despise Pratt's manipulative style of writing that warps every story. Viewers don't know whether they are going or coming half the time.

Yeah, I think that, at this point, it's gone on so long, and with both of his parents dead (or "dead") they should play this one long term.  Honestly, I'd rather see the kid stay with Sharon and Dylan than to have him taken from them and raised by Nick and Chelsea (which we all know is what would happen if the truth was found out now). For bonus "I don't want to see this" points, Nick would go all vengeful on Sharon and keep Faith away from her again.

Yeah, that last one is as repetitive as the Steffy/Liam dialogue on B&B. And as I mentioned in another thread when there was speculation on Chick (Nealsey?) being a thing, Nick won't have a leg to stand on if he takes up with the con artist/rapist. I just wish they'd SORAS Faith already so that we never have to sit through another round of this bollocks again.

You got that right, Anna. I think those Faith Wars were the reason Nick Newman took a nosedive in likability by a huge raft of viewers. Since the kid who plays Faith hasn't been seen in a while, maybe they plan to SORAS her sooner, but I sincerely doubt it. They may be contemplating keeping her around like they did with CG, which means that they'll keep Sharon at the diaper-changing station for the duration.

i agree, i think nick character will take another hit when he hooks up with chelsea..

no matter how much jm wants to be paired with her, it won't do his character any good.

jm is not a great actor, he can look good but there's no substance there.  he needs a strong actress to play against to make his character viable and IMO, mce isn't one of them.  i find her very one note, gasp gasp heave, and didn't like her or her character on amc either.  i think she is very over rated.  however, she is a pet and is coddled.

JM just wants off the sidelines and back onto the lips and into the adoration of fans. He's been a none entity for years now despite all the airtime he gets. Outshined by the Billys and Adams. He knows it. He thinks story with MCE and Chelsea is the answer. I think he's wrong in that.

There has been way too much partner swapping with siblings or parents these last 3 years. Viewers seem tired of that. Chelsea is Adam's wife regardless of whether Adam is dead or alive. The show has spent so much time shoveling their epic love that fans will not let that go. That's Chelsea's only identity now. At this point, I can't see fans enjoying or getting behind a Nick and Chelsea pairing. They'll see it as wrong and Nick will take the hit with fans.

i agree, i think nick character will take another hit when he hooks up with chelsea..

no matter how much jm wants to be paired with her, it won't do his character any good.

jm is not a great actor, he can look good but there's no substance there.  he needs a strong actress to play against to make his character viable and IMO, mce isn't one of them.  i find her very one note, gasp gasp heave, and didn't like her or her character on amc either.  i think she is very over rated.  however, she is a pet and is coddled.

I think MCE is good when she's playing bad.  As a "heroine" she's very one note.  I hated Annie on AMC when she first showed up as Ryan's perfect little sweet wife.  I loved her when she gained an edge and got involved with the Chandlers.  I don't know why Y&R won't play her as the schemer she should be instead of the sweet little devoted to her husband, loving mother, ingenue they seem to want her to be.  Chelsea is a woman who raped a guy for cash and essentially sold him the resulting baby.  Not to say a character can never reform, but we have to actually see them put in that work.  And, in this case, being the "good girl" does not play to the actress's strengths.  So it's just all around a bad idea.  I'd say that now is the perfect time to have her re-discover her bad girl edge, what with her husband dead and her "best friend" responsible for his death.  But, of course, if she's going to be paired up with Nick, she'll be even more of a good girl.  The citizens of GC will have to genuflect in her presence.  And she will raise ALL of the children.

You know the reveal is soon when Billy is acting like a LMS, Jack continues to be dumb, and Jack is going to go comfort Victor so Phyllis can rage and go to Billy again. I see you, show!

OH!!  So Sad, right?  Victor feels just TERRIBLE that his son died in one of his harebrained, cruel, psychotic schemes.  He's so very, very sad for himself.  And Nicole is sad for him.  Dick(olas) is so sad for him he doesn't want "a man punished who just lost his son" even though he's clear that dear old dad is responsible.  Victoria feels bad for him, but most of all, Victor's heart is very, very tender towards....himself.

It's so sad I just wanna take him in my arms and squeeze until he pops like the giant zit he is.  We've finally seen it, folks, Victor is PUNISHED.  Yep, that's Show's idea of it - somebody else DIES but it's Victor we're to feel sorry for.

And WHAT a performance, too!  I could almost smell the grief from here.  For a moment I was watching a Fiber 1 commercial, but grief is grief.

But that wasn't the only award winning performance we got to see today, nosirreeBOB.  We got to see Jill barge into Victoria's home and somehow, inexplicably, not get kicked out on her ass.  Something I'd like to have seen personally.

ButtBiscuit is crowing about the upcoming sister-in-law banging he sees in his future, WITH the EXTRA ADDED BONUS of PISSING ON HIS BROTHER!  YEA!!!  The good writing and exemplary storytelling continues!

We got to see Ashley somehow FORGET that Adam gaslighted her AND burnt her fetus in the fireplace, while comforting Jack.  And we got to see Phyllis act like she'd wandered into the wrong room and didn't know either one of them very well.

And Chelsea....."NO NO NO he CAN'T be DEAD, he PROMISED", with Nick on hand to offer her a ripe banana as comfort, while Chloe twirled her moustache while lying to the Moustache.   Paulie, once again, says, "That's all, Folks" like this is a Looney Tunes feature.  Come to think of it, I can see him and Dullan and Bugs all working a case, being overseen by Elmer Fudd.....I digress.  Paulie's a helluva cop, though, isn't he?

But I fear it's not over.....Dullan says he CAN'T let it go.  So at least we know we've got some stellar storytelling ahead of us.

Right? Philly are aching for each other. Again, besides ice cream and never having to hear you're an asshole WHAT is the attraction between these two scumbags? Phyllis was turned on as Billy made jokes about fucking Jack's wife to his face, tee hee. (Remember when it "killed" Billy and Phyllis to hear Bethany make those double entendres around Jack?) But Phyllis will consider it vile for Jack to be decent to Victor, even though she just worked with him to manipulate her daughter's life and had NO ISSUES with Victor for years after his Patty plot almost killed Summer.

Jack saw something between Philly, right? As they sat at the table the other day. So he's picking up - as is Ashley. But he's in denial. He'd better not have to see them fuck. It's bad enough we have to. I'm hoping he just keeps seeing obvious signs and then busts their lying asses.
