So I don't pay a lot of attention to newsstand tabloids but are Amber and Matt REALLY that newsworthy, to the point of where people are reporting about them ALL the time? I mean, with the election, Brangelina breakup, and clown sightings everywhere (sometimes all in the same article) are people REALLY writing about Matt Baier outside of here, Reddit, and Radar?

Us Magazine, People Magazine, Star Magazine, and a lot of the internet tabloid sites. Usually the magazines tend to get "exclusives" from the cast members when they need some quick cash and the need to whore themselves out. Just put Amber's name in the Google search engine and you will see all kinds of sites come up. Cate, Tyler, Amber, Matt probably spend their days just Googling every little thing, reading about themselves on sites like here and reading other message boards.

It's hard to believe this is the same girl. I know she claims that her face is only not puffy when she's drugged out of her mind, but come on. Shouldn't she be glowing with the happiness that is her naked author boyfriend? I'm sure prison is a bitch, but it seems like bad styling is to blame for the fact that she used to look like she was in her 20s, and now she looks Matt's age. What's with her love of not only those Joan Crawford brows, but zero makeup on the lower lashes? In fact it looks like she's pulled out her lashes.

My gosh Amber looks so pretty and natural in that first photo. That must have been taken while she was in the throes of her addiction, right?

I was noticing in last night's episode how thick she was looking. Nothing wrong with curves, but did anyone catch her saying in last week's episode how they eat out every single day? When they eat at home, they grill burgers and hot dogs. Throw in the whole couch-sitting she does non-stop it is no wonder why she has gained weight. As for her face that is all the injectables she is getting to keep her looking good in Matt's eyes. Where is Keefuh when you need him? He made sense that one time when he was telling Jenelle that she didn't need any boob implants.

I think they go out a lot only because Matt wants to be seen since he knows people now recognize him from this damn show. I am also certain when they do eat out, they go eat out at expensive places because it is what Matt wants.

Many rental leases do not allow you to smoke in the house. Most of my friends that smoke sit in their garage to have a cigarette.

I thought the garage may have been better for filming. The deck looked kind of small when we saw Matt out there making his fake call. To me it's a thing that parents do when they watch their kids out in the driveway riding bikes and what not - but oops, never mind. 

Amber posted video of that rescue cat. It lives! It was kind of strangely eating its food while sitting IN the bowl. Probably terrified of a million wild dogs eating it first. To her credit, she seems good with animals. Probably what her life should be instead of pretending to want children. 

That rent has to be pretty high. I thought they at least owned the house with all the child support money she cheated Gary out of. Then wtf were they bragging about when Matt wouldn't shut up about how they saved up and earned it?  I remember way back when Leah was tiny and Amber wasn't zonked out yet. She expressed interest in working in a beauty shop. That would be a perfect thing for her - beauty school. She desperately needs something to do, and she's always fussing with her own hair and makeup. And at least she could support herself when this long national nightmare is over.

that's right...she went to see a shop & they said she'd need a GED...or was that Chelsea?  Both?

 

Amber could even do waxing...that way she could take her frustrations out & get paid for it!  rrrippppp....

Yep....she didn't have a GED in the original incarnation of TM and she was trying to get it but had trouble studying because of "taking care of Leah" and you know, PILLS. She did get her GED in prison. No shade about that from me. Good for you, Amber! 

Agreed she could do something like beauty school but honestly I think the only way that would happen would be if she went back to jail and they had a cosmetology program there. I don't think she can (or rather, will) do it with TM cameras, Matt, and other "distractions" around or when her couch is just over there looking soooo comfy.

He seems to have acquired a convertible this season. His fans -and I lol'd as I typed that- can see him as he pageants around drive-thrus. Mebbe he'll end up like his hero if there's a grassy knoll close to the Steak 'n Shake.

Do we know for sure they rent the house? Was there a link in that Reddit thread? I read the topic and it seems someone posted "they rent that house", but I never saw any links to any source.

Another question. Someone mentioned Amber could have married Matt out of state which is why there wouldn't be a record of the marriage online. But, wouldn't the record of marriage be online for whatever state they may have gotten married in? We know what states Amber has visited and we know the states that surround Indiana. Couldn't a little sleuthing figure this out?

To be fair, I don't know if they indeed smoke, I was just offering a reason why they might sit in the garage .

I think Reddit deleted the thread because it listed too much personal info.  Matt or Amber do not own the house.  It's clear and a great deal of evidence was shown to support it.  People who Tweeted Amber about it were blocked.  It's owned by a family/group that owns many rental houses in that region.  If you want to see for yourself, Indiana has much online. 

What I found most interesting of all the info posted.....  of Matt's 3 flip houses -- Amber's name was never on them at all.  Ever.

Also, Amber tweets about how much she is into politics and that she voted... well, she'll has never registered to vote.  (Indiana allows felons to re-register after prison, so she could vote.)

I had the same question regarding Amber’s status as a renter or home owner. I am ashamed to admit I looked on this website and searched Amber’s name and then Matt’s name. I am not sure I searched the right county, but neither of their names appeared.

You have the right county.

I doubt we can post her street address but if you look up the registration for her new Forever Haute "fashion line" through Indiana .gov business registry, you'll get the address.

Searches also show that 2 of Matt's child support cases are still open.  3 others settled on the same date this summer.  Details of settlement aren't posted.  You can see the amount of child support Amber pays for Leah too.

Wow- I wonder why she used her home address to register her business. In many states you can use your attorney's or accountant's address.

She owns nothing.  Her residence is rented.  The flip houses were in Matt's name.  The cars are most likely leased.  The wild dogs aren't registered.  There is nothing that the IRS can actually take away from her -- so that's how she can just ignore the lien.  They can't garnish her MTV wage either.

Reddit just deleted tonight's post about Gary paying his house off vs. Amber's $130k tax lien.   I think there was something else like Taylor closed the ttm business a few weeks ago and it had no value but it was gone by the time I went back to look for it.

This seems to show a garnishment can occur for a 1099. I am not tax specialist, but it seems to read it is possible:

It is not Section 8 housing. It is not a home in a questionable area. What is going on? Were they evicted from the last house? Did MTV pay for the lease so they could film?

If nowhere else, I can see Amber working in a beauty shop. Smock, gossip, gettin' purty...she would fit in well in any small town in 'Murica for this.  Amber would blend in a lot of the lil shops around where I live. She knows a bit about how to fix up and seems to be able to chat/mix and mingle with folks well enough too. Too bad MTV has made her think she's too good to go to work every day and that a shitbag like Matt is a great catch.

If memory serves, she actually had a job at one point as a receptionist or assistant in some spa/beauty parlor. My memory, however, does not tell me why it ended.
