And wasn't Griffin all shy about showing himself off when Maxie wanted him to be in that "Real Men" issues of Crimson?  But now he's gonna strip in front of a huge crowd, next to the man who probably shot him?  Uh, okay.

No, the others are Milo, Curtis, Felix, Dillon. I don't know how RP/Nathan got out of it when that's practically his whole point on the show. I can only assume Chad begged for mercy this year.

How did Curtis get grouped up in the men's group. I don't think he has even visited General Hospital but somehow he will be performing four other guys he hasn't met yet. Or maybe he has already met Dillon when he and Val won that Crimson contest.

Well, Nathan has a serious brain injury, so that part is understandable. I guess they weren't thinking when they wrote that part of the story so close to the Nurse's Ball. But that would have been a fun conversation in the writer's room:

Frank: Okay, so Nurse's Ball Magic Milo scene: we've got Milo obviously, Felix as usual, Nathan, and our new cast members...

Writer: Um, sorry but Nathan won't be able to perform in Magic Milo this year.

Frank: WHAT?!?! Why not? He's a staple! He's our bread and butter for that scene.

Writer: You had him crash in that van, remember? He's in the hospital with a traumatic brain injury.

Frank: WHAT?!?! Who the hell approved that?

Writer: You did, sir.

Frank: Right, well what about what his name, Chad? He's done it before, and he'll appeal to our younger demographic.

Other writers: What younger demographic?

Frank: (glaring) Well, we've got Chad. That will partially solve the problem.

Writer: Actually, Chad is refusing this year. He says it makes him feel uncomfortable.

Frank: WHAT?!?!? Crap, okay well throw that new doctor in there.

Writer: (low, confused voice after long pause) Finn?

Frank: NO, no of course not. Michael Easton is many things, he can play hundreds of characters, but he's not stripping.

Writer: Then who?

Frank: Griffin Munro, of course.

Writer: (confused voice after even longer pause) But, but...he's a...priest!

Frank: So the hell what? Sonny's a murdering, misogynistic piece of crap, but I made him the HERO of the show! Don't tell me I don't know what I'm doing.

He already does that in every other scene.

Nathan was in town for three months when they threw him in there the first time.

How does Bryan keep getting out of doing Magic Milo? He must be absolutely hopeless on his feet.*

Morgan will clearly be The Phantom of the Nurse's Ball this year.   I assume this will consist of another hissy fit of epic proportions.   No time for stripping this year.  Last year he was off being emo.  In fact, his emo bs has ruined it every year.  But what would his label be?  "The Crazy Bartender"?  Eh.  I can see Curtis.  And I still want Griffin and Anna to have illicit hot sex.  I don't believe he's a priest.  Everyone lies on this show.

Putting this here because it's a spec I have dealing with the possible Lucas dies spoiler/spec.  Yesterday saw Alexis not burn Julian's shirt with Carlos's blood on it despite telling him she would.  Sonny also went BSC with a fire poker and basically repeated Michael's words to him and Carly about AJ's murder about Duke.  Jason regained his Borg memories and the show ended with him thanking Sonny for all he'd given him.  However, Jason had expressed earlier that he regretted fighting Jerry Jax in lieu of being there for Alan.  Now, I've seen posts of BM being bored/lazy.  I don't think this is the case.  I think we're gearing up for Jason Vs Sonny.  The seeds have already been planted with Carly having doubts against the violence and how it affects their kids, Jason rejecting the jobs, Sonny going more violent.  And then Carly's "we're going to be best friends forever!"  I think Lucas will be an accidental hit.  Alexis will hand in the shirt after Lucas dies. Jason will push Sam to figure out the truth.  It gets Will DeVry off the show, gives Mo a big story, and pushes the next sweeps story.  It also gets Carly away from Sonny.  I'm seeing the same facial expressions from BM that I saw when he was in the revenge plot line on Y&R.  I'm probably wrong, but eh.  It's all I got.

Week of 5/23 to 5/27:
The Nurses' Ball takes place. A doctor at GH is gravely injured. Anna says a final goodbye to Duke. Dillon finds a letter to Tracy. A fight breaks out between Lucy and Laura. Alexis refuses to see Julian. Dr. Obrecht crashes the ball. Hayden tries to ruin Elizabeth's night. Paul and Ava both refuse to budge.

Week of 5/31 to 6/3:
Bobbie and Carly hold vigil over Lucas. Sam and Jason decide to look for answers. Alexis refuses to cave to Julian and berates him for what he's caused. Hayden isn't happy with information she learns about her family. Someone arrives to see Tracy. Lucy brings a surprise guest to see Kevin. Dillon asks Kiki out on a date. Griffin races to save Lucas and calls in help.

Sneak peek for 6/6 to 6/10:
Griffin's help arrives. Lucy has her hands full with her new houseguests. Tracy gets an offer she might not be able to refuses. A joyous homecoming is overshadowed by tragedy. Sam and Jasom zero in on who hurt Lucas.

It sounds like Lucas is just going to get seriously injured, maybe a coma. Which I guess is better than dead but still not great.

That's the vibe I've been getting too - that Lucas will wind up in a plot-convenient coma and then they'll wake him up with it's, again, convenient to the plot.

Wow, if those are legit spoilers we might finally be seeing the return character they've been talking about for three years. I'm really glad that Lucy's getting an actual story, I adore Lynn Herring.

I'll take Lucas only getting hurt. Ridiculous and stupid, because it's also repetitive, but I'll take it. So much better than the alternative.

Bobbie and Carly hold vigil over Lucas.

Knowing Carly, she'll make Brad wait in the hall.

Lucy has her hands full with her new houseguests.

I want to believe, but we've been burned with Lucy spoilers before.  And houseguests implies that she has an on-screen home that's not a hotel room, yes?

Coma Lucas serves a few purposes-  gets Will DeVry off the show (which frees up money, allowing them to sign the two Baldwin sisters), gets Ryan Carnes off the show till they need him again (again, frees up money ), moves a dramatic story forward, probably serves as an Emmy vehicle for NLG and Mo, and allows them to use Brad and Felix less, which saves money.  Which is Frank's number one concern.  If the rumors are true and the BI posted pages back is about Will DeVry, then Frank gets him out of his hair too.  He gives NLG some Emmy material to make her happy for losing her precious Julexis.  Mo gets Emmy material because he didn't get a nom this year nor recently and probably wants Sonny to look strong.  Hence why AJ is not mentioned....yet.   I still think that bomb will be dropped once Frank gives Mo his reel.  Because Frank seems to give these actors what they want, but at a price.  We keep talking about him having pets, but I don't think he's loyal to anyone tbh.  Not petwise.  The Frank giveth and the Frank taketh away.

That's what blocking is for! Maybe he refuses to wax his chest: "Frank, gimme a break. I'm already losing the hair on my head. Now I have to lose what's on my chest?"

He's recurring, so he gets paid only when he's working. Lucas is a plot point for everyone else to get stories.

That's true.   Probably puts Lucas in a plot point coma so that they need another doctor at GH to do whatever Lucas does, so they bring in Serena.  I'm pretty sure this is going to be Serena.  That way Frank/Jelly can be like "Why are you guys mad?  We got rid of a mobster and added not just a doctor, but a legacy character? "  Oh, but we have so many reasons and they kinda mostly revolve around Sonny.   I'll also speculate that Nathan lied about Claudette.  We probably will care about Claudette because the whole story to Maxie was a lie.  It wasn't a green card marriage,  her name wasn't Claudette, and we do know her.   It's probably going to be Serena.  It has classic soap trope written all over it.   Serena has been living in Paris, so she probably speaks fluent French.  She and Nathan could've had stupid nicknames for each other.  Also, they'd play it like Serena and Maxie know each other.  Also, spoiler says Griffin brings in extra help.

I'm surprised Chad Duell got out of the striptease this year - he proudly posted a shirtless selfie on his Instagram not too long ago and I assumed he was preparing for the Nurses' Ball. And Ryan Paevey has been cutting down on the shirtless scenes so his character's traumatic brain injury is awfully convenient.

Laura's fight with Lucy is going to end will probably take place during the ball in Lucy's dressing room and result in her tradition of winding up undressed on stage.

I still fear Lucas is going to die. There's a spoiler for the week after the Nurses' Ball which says Bobbie has to make a heartbreaking decision - I'm guessing it's the tragedy that overshadows the homecoming of the doctor called by Griffin to help on Lucas's case - only he/she arrives too late. I do hope it's one of the Baldwin girls. It seems like that rumor's been floating around forever. I can't see it being Christina though, unless she's decided to go by her middle name (whatever that was) - it'll be too confusing otherwise with Kristina Corinthos also on canvas. Maybe the other houseguest will be Serena's boyfriend?

And yes, where's Brad in all of this? Only Bobbie and Carly hold vigil over Lucas? Not his own fiance who he was about to marry?!

this is the source (just get rid of the space between the "//" and "twitter" to go to the page. I can't tell if 6/2 is the taping date or the air date but either way I guess we'll find out fairly soon.

Griffin, Finn, Annie, and CC (and, as Oracle pointed out, fucking Franco is still there) though, is kind of a whole boatload of newbies. I don't mind newbies per se, but about 75% of the people/characters introduced under Valentini have been horriblay, but who knows.

The person who tweeted that seems to be a fan and there's no source on it.  Given there were fake cable spoilers going around the last time Christina and Annie were rumored, I wouldn't be shocked if that was doctored up.

Because something about the script is weird.  Monica gushing about Sean and Tiffany?  Annie being Griffin's friend?  The abrupt transitions?

I don't mind Lucas getting hurt (although it did happen to him, what, a year ago? two? at the Jerome Gallery?). Killed would be a dealbreaker.

Christina ("CC" is awful) and Anna/Annie Donely have been rumored/suspended/whatever for years, along with that exact claim about Christina's hunky cute white boyfriend Trevor coming with her. I don't know how much is true or how far those stories ever got under Ron and Frank, but they seemed to come and go from month to month with actors allegedly cast, brought in then dropped over and over. (There was even a claim last time that Kin Shriner had a public blow-up on set with FV over the Christina storyline.) Anna/Annie certainly had an actress cast in 2013 who ended up not recurring, and Duke and Anna discussed her at length the following year but she failed to appear.

I know there was a reasonable source on them at one point long ago, then as the claims recurred regularly I began to suspect they were the work of an overzealous Kevin/Lucy fan. I don't know what to believe, but at this point, while I'd welcome those characters I'll believe they're here when I see them on TV.

Weren't they casting a young black college age guy?  Maybe CC's boyfriend is black?  I thought Annie was a cop? And why does GH have so many damn people with either the same name or common relatives?  Not thinking ahead, are we writing teams?

What about his Cousin Maxie & his Aunt Felicia? Are we suppose to believe they wouldn't be there for Bobbie, that they wouldn't be grieving for him especially Maxie as close as they're & have been for years. Except this show continues too ignore it. That & he is a Jones/Spencer.

Anna Donelly got named after Anna at a time when Anna was believed dead.  At the time, it was a nice way to update the audience that Sean and Tiff finally got a baby (offscreen, I believe, after they'd been written off the show) and named it after their (not so) dead friend.

It's a little puzzling they keep teasing bringing her on.  Unless Sean and Tiff Donelly are going to be around to interact with their daughter, or she is going to be as awesome as them, I'm not sure why it matters that new young female character be her.

They won't even let established awesome characters be awesome anymore, so I have no confidence the writers would give the Donelly offspring her parents' personalities.

Yep, in 1995, shortly after they left the show that same year, when Robin was going through her storyline with Stone. Some fans (read: Holly & R&H fans/Anna & R&A haters) went years insisting that Anna WASN'T her name, though, that it was never mentioned onscreen and that Anna/R&A fans made it up out of their obsessive fandom needs. Or something.

The Anna fans, obviously, got the last laugh when Ron brought Anna Donely (only one L!) on in 2013, even if she was only on for about five minutes.

I did read a RUMOR RUMOR RUMOR on Twitter that Luke does come home for Lucas' funeral.  Again, RUMOR.  Because...Luke doesn't give a shit about Lucas.  I don't recall him really apologizing for Fluke's multiple attempts to kill him.

And let me guess, JJ returns as Lucky and cries all fucking day?  And Brenda's sleeves are bigger and longer!  Yes!  Because Guza totally worked.   This is what happens when a show kneels down to an actor.   Thanks, Mo.   Hope you saved money!

Because he's being sacrificed to the story of Sonny.  Lucas gets killed.  Of course it's Julian's fault.   This will be presented on screen with every character saying it over and over.   Thus, presenting Sonny with his halo again.   Sonny= good.  Julian= bad.  It doesn't matter who shoots Lucas.  It will be Julian's fault.  I'm sure Mo knows he's got a lot of backlash from not being as popular as other male actors.   Jason not being as much of Jason Morgan, but not quite Jason Q?  I'm sure that's not an acting choice.  That's Frank directing BM because he's been ordered to keep Mo.  Jason can't be the big action guy because Mo won't be, but can't be a Q because the die hard Morgan fans clinging to SBu will get mad.  Another example,  CD.   Michael should be the young leading male with Dillion.   Neither one of them are.  Every story that could/should involve Michael has been given to Sonny.  Sonny even described Carlos killing Duke the same way that Michael described Sonny murdering AJ.  Julexis wasn't a super couple, but they had their fans.   What's weird is that they put all this effort into it and when they let Will DeVry go, it'll be that they wrote Julian in a corner.  But we had to see Ava wear a wig for months.

Of course it will.  Whereas when Sonny's kids get shot they a. don't die and b. it's all about Sonny's great pain, not that he was ultimately responsible.  Even Carly has totally forgotten she blamed Sonny for Michael's shooting so much she had him sign his parental rights away from Morgan.  Of course, anything with Morgan is easily backburnered...
