Same.  she's too smiley for such a sexy song.  pardon my french, but girl needs to get 'some action' so she can really seduce the audience.  She reminds me of Utah Maddie that way.. not tapped into her sexuality really.  But Utah Maddie is a great performer... Mz kalina here not so much IMO.

The girl teaching the class was a Kilgore :) that's maybe why she looks familiar!

So now we know Holly has been making those faces while performing for at least a decade now. Seems to me that she actually has toned them down. Her facials in that video drove me crazy--they seemed like over the top pageant faces, which I often find creepy or obnoxious rather than cute. Holly clearly was talented back then. It's awesome to see how much more skilled and polished she's become through continuous hard work.

Omgsh the facials that dance teachers make you do at a young age are crazy

she reminds me soooo much of a little girl I know who is about that age and super rockstar dancer...i danced with her mom years ago so i always see videos of her at competitions that her mom posts.  It makes me REALLY excited for her, about what level she'll be hitting when she's Holly's age! she also does all the crazy facials hahaha

That was Michelle's choreography. This was choreographed last year and the video is from Cowboys training camp 2016.

I'm happy to say that my dance teachers never made us do those facials at any age. I had a tap teacher who was so over the top with her own expressions and even in the 5th grade, I was like, that looks ridiculous but I'm glad she's having fun! I mean, some folks just make faces because it's part of how they're emoting while expressing themselves with the music. For me, I just always smiled because I was having fun. We competed at my studio, but there was no pressure to be all pageant-tastic with our facials and we never did weigh-ins like some of the other studios around town.

HAHA! I won't pin this all on Holls. Like Heatherrrz said, apparently these poor children are at the mercy of the Sarah Gourley dance instructors of the world.

Note: I don't mind Sarah, I actually am one of the few fans that sort of understands her, but I can TOTALLY see her hounding them to SMILE BIGGER.

Also, I always want to call Sarah "Erika". I do not know why.

I know I'm about 10 hours late to the Victoria dance video party, but I can already hear Judy saying "you need to stop dancing like a little girl, you need to dance sexy". She's a pretty girl and a good dancer, she just appears young in that video.

Maybe I'm old but the hyper sexual stripper dances do nothing for me. Y'all got talent, show it off for real!!

Am I the only person who thinks Victoria Kalina's dancing in Michelle Keys videos are not that good. I think they toot her horn because of her mother's relationship with Kelly. Its like she's too lose or trying to be too sexy and its corny. I think she is a talented lyrical dancer. I think Dayton is way better at hip hop.
