That's exactly what I think of Melissa and Holly P - solos look like Dance Moms competitive tricks strung together. They're technically good, but not a ton of artistry.

Wow does Jinelle look really thin in that footage.   Her shorts are almost loose.  They probably should have picked another blonde for that performance -;).  It looked like a bunch of brunettes backing up the blonde featured dancer the way they had it set up.  Haha.

Informative article, I think it's a bit "unconstitutional" for a judge to offer money even if she's really joking.

It might not be "fair" to the other candidates for a judge to interact in this way, but it's certainly not "unconstitutional" for this to happen within a private tryout for a private group.

I don't think it's a big deal. However, generally speaking, it is a little unprofessional for a judge to mingle with the contestants in a competition while the competition is going on, unless that judge makes an effort to spread his or her attention around. Otherwise it smacks of favoritism.

Was checking out the Dallaswear website, they have a lot of former DCCs, TCCs etc, modelling for them like Jordan Elizabeth, Kali Nicole, Current DCC Stephanie, Alexandra(season 9), Vivian, 50 Yard Kelsey, Auto Amy, Popcorn Kelly Sherwood, Kathryn Dunn, Tessa Christine! Is this Rose from last year?

I think a lot of those tops are quite unattractive too - like more are tacky/ugly than are cute IMO.  Some are cute though.

I thought so too! I recognise a lot of the costumes from girls at previous auditions though so they must shop there for prelim outfits! The ones who are DCCs took those photos when they were aspiring DCCs, not former DCCs.

Maybe some of them, but not all. Alyssa Sarasani modeled for Dallaswear after she was a DCC. It was pretty obvious because she had breast implants in the Dallaswear pics and didn't get those til after she left DCC. The pics aren't up anymore but they were a couple years ago.

Notice that Abigail Klein is the only cheerleader whose name is credited in the captions.  That was the case throughout her time as a DCC.  All the photographers knew her name.  They loved her.

Dang, Megan is amazing. Jackie looks SO much like Jessica! Are we sure they aren't related? Jenna Allison looked gorgeous and more in shape than before...looks like her dancing may have been a bit sloppy though. 

Kelli Q is so much cuter in video.  Sometimes I think she looks old in pictures but watching her in this I thought she was adorable! I hope she makes the squad this year.

Jenna Allison's dancing was ughhh I couldn't watch. I had no idea Kelli Q came from New England, that's so cool.

Emma's poor nose reminds me of my own (until age 17). It completely overwhelms her face...just like mine did. A rhinoplasty would completely change her face. She has a beautiful figure, good complexion & pretty hair but her nose...it really hurts her. She's one of the women I was thinking about on another thread. I wrote about a few TC ladies not being HD friendly.  In comparison,  Miss "Bring it On" (season 9?) had much more delicate features. I HATE mentioning surgery however, this young lady -imo - won't be going further because of her nose. I've faced the exact same conundrum.  Fortunately my Daddy didn't take it personally when I had his nose "slimmed down " on my face.

Since they did film every solo, why not upload them.... It doesn't have to be the original music, some of those routines look really fun!

Surprised there was no clips of Erica or Holly as they took the coveted first and last spots.

Some of those dances looked very odd mixed with that cheesy music!

Also some of the bottoms of those outfits were very unflattering, giving the girls quite heavy looking butts. Even Stephanie looked big bottomed, when judging by her bikini shoot she is probably built like a stick of spaghetti!

Megan looked great, but I've alway loved her, she looks real nice and smiley ?

from that little clip I'm thinking Erica may end up at point. Love Jenn K, but hat wasn't 'wow'! Good, but not 'wow'.

jackie does look like Jessica and both are so pretty. Jessica has really amped her game. I would t mind her at point either.

jinelle looked noodley. The Japanese girl did, too, like she didn't know what to do with her arms. I have no idea how western lyrical/ballet is taught in Japan, but the Japanese girl from years ago had the same style. It's like they're trying to be dainty and precise, and don't know how to project big and extend with big flows moves.

megan - she was my fave rookie and is an amazing dancer. Equal to Erica and Holly, maybe slightly better than Melissa and Lacey. I'm seriously thinking Olivia level dancing. Her top looked like she was hiding her body. I hope trey don't knock her for that. 

Stephanie impressed me. Her dance was cute but powerful. I like her. 

I understand why Hunter was cut. No technique and bad transitions. She's another cheerleader trying to dance, and it shows during solos. It may be ok with old school DCC moves, but not anything artsy or lyrical.

Wow, the clip they show of the DCC practicing at around the 14 minute mark in the video is from like 1991 or so.  The girls are MUCH bigger in the midsection than they are today.  I don't think half of them would make the squad with today's standards.

The heartfelt expressions by Kelli at the 19 minute mark about leaving Valley Ranch were really sweet.  You can see how hard it's going to be for them to move.

Will they hold DCC TC at Valley Ranch one last time this summer?  Or will this year's TC be the first group in the new facility at Frisco?

This looks more like the old Caila! Her comment on it is very sweet too.  I think she probably expected so much to be cut that she's not completely devastated.  I wonder if she means she will try out again sometime or for another team?

She really is a beautiful girl and an amazing dancer... I hope she tries out for something else.  And yeah despite her weight gain, I would so LOVE to have her body!

Thanks for the clip!  OK - I'm sorry but I've never been a fan of Jinelle's.  I think she has a different look and with her super twiggy body, she may come across well on the big screen but she's just so noodlely!  Her arms and limbs flail around when she dances.  And I'm shocked she made show group!  She is not a strong performer in my opinion (clearly K+J disagree lol).

Kat is really good at the ribbon twirling but that routine (or short clip of it) showcased more the ribbon than it did her dance skills

Sorry, still think Stephanie is scary looking (wish they cut her instead of Caila).  And wtf is up with that weird child-like costume and the bday cake prop???

I thought she was supposed to be like a 50s waitress holding a tray of milkshakes.  I actually wondered if she danced to 'Milkshake' by Kelis.  I think she has a very harsh look.

That was really interesting, as a Brit I don't really get to see what a game is like. So much spectacle! I couldn't really see the point of the guys waving the little towels about.. they get paid for that? To watch the game from so close and wave a little towel thing?

I'm also from a soccer country so it's really interesting to see how big football games really are!

i actually went to one soccer teams home game a couple of weeks ago and they sort of had an entrance routine where the players came on to the field while thunderstruck was playing. I really missed the DCC lol. I can't listen to that song anymore without going through the dance in my head :D
