I just read a bunch of spoilers...

 

Orpheus' is big plan is to lure everybody to the pub and then have Jennifer come downstairs with a bomb strapped onto her. I have to admit that kind of makes me giggle a bit. Obviously Super Rafe will talk Hope through disarming the bomb, because he has to be inserted into every storyline.

John will surrender himself and get dragged back to the town house where he will transfer the 20 million into Orpheus' account and ultimately end up saved by Steve before Orpheus can execute him.

At the police station, Orpheus will pull a Yo Ling and swallow some pills from Marlena's medical bag which supposedly kill him. That sounds incredibly lame considering they just did this a few months ago and I can't think of a single reason why Marlena would have fatal pills in her medical bag.

Theresa will admit that she lied about Xander and Brady will struggle a little to accept this. Then, someone from her past named Guillermo will come to Salem and cause big trouble and this will be the start of her exit storyline.

Anne Milbauer will supposedly fall for Lucas and do a very bad job of hiding it. He will be polite with her.

If that's really how they bring the Orpheus story to a close I'm going to be extremely disappointed. I was hoping to see more of Orpheus and Joey, since those scenes brought out the best in both actors and it seems like Orpheus' distance from his children factors so much into who he is. I also don't like the fact that they're willing to kill off the character again after having failed to explain how on earth he survived his previous death. If you can't write deaths and make them stick, just have the character run off canvas or disappear in some interesting way.

I can't remember if Guillermo is someone we've already met that Theresa used to deal with in some capacity but I suspect he's someone new. Hopefully he can fill in some of the blanks as to why Theresa left LA with such a huge chip on her shoulder and self-destructive attitude. I know a lot of us have stumbled with the logic of Kim and Shane's daughter being such a self-destructive money grubber. This is the last chance to shed any light on that and I just hope that in introducing some element from Theresa's past they don't completely undermine everything that we've enjoyed about her for the last 3 or 4 years.

I never said that you could not like her, I don't want my favorite couple of all time on the show, to be further destroyed, for her...If the rumors are true, I will be very happy, this November. So long Theresa!

I was, but it hasn't yielded too much other than gunfire and the beginnings of character beats. Orpheus really hasn't developed at all through this story, cool as he is to new viewers like me. Heck, Batty Ben technically had a better arc. And the off-screen "action" has been laughable (bombs and shootouts no one ever sees?)

Still it revitalized things in a way by giving us Theo/Abe scenes, some closure with Clyde and Joey's first intelligent moments on the show.

I hope we can see some good stuff after this, but since Dena does events more than anything, I'm not getting my hopes up.

I am also a huge Kim/Shane fan and I don't think they were thrown under the bus for Theresa--when Theresa talked about Kim's not taking Theresa's interest in fashion design seriously, it felt like Theresa understood that her mom had bigger things on her mind, like trying to keep her sanity together.  I never felt as though Theresa was blaming her mom in any way.

Now I would some explanation on why Theresa was so money hungry in the beginning and why she never speaks of her brother Andrew.  And Brady better not turn his back on her when she explains about the Xander situation.

With all due respect, that's a pretty big lie, stating someone tried to rape her when they didn't. I know Theresa is well liked here, but I personally think that's a big deal. Even if Brady is an oaf.

They really blew it with Orpheus.  They could have used him like a more realistic Stefano where he suddenly reappears and has no charges against him.  He could have worked in a subtle and insidious manner to torment some of the Salemites.  We need a good villain now that Victor seems to have disappeared and Deimos has been watered down.

I'm thrilled to say goodbye to Clyde and Xander though.  I wish they'd killed off Clyde.

Brady is willing to forgive people who have done a hell of a lot worse--his dear grandfather for one--and lest we forget, it was Victor who led the charge to have the book thrown at Xander because he wanted his inconvenient henchmen gone.  My point is, Brady needs to listen to what Theresa has to say and hopefully he'll throw the forgiveness he's so happy to dole out to drunk driver Eric, murdering psychopath Victor, etc, to his almost wife's way.  I don't want to see his instantly yelling at  Theresa--give her a chance to explain and then he can make his judgement.
