crgirl412 August 5, 2017 Share August 5, 2017 I think that they will all be back and maybe another one added as talk of the lack of diversity came up this year. It will be so interesting to watch how Lu interacts with the women- and men! We know she really likes to be in a relationship and she's ok with she and her friends sharing a guy so I wonder if the old dog Harry Dubin is ready to be in a relationship or marry again?? 2 Link to comment
KungFuBunny August 5, 2017 Author Share August 5, 2017 I think they all will be back but there will definitely be at least one demoted to friend of (Luann & Sonja) Sonja is redundant with Tinsley having the same story line and has a little bit of money. I also think there will be a change in the "pay" structure. I wonder how Luann will play it, will she be that dirty bastard I had no idea or will she go the route of we still are madly in love and are trying to work things out. I also wonder how Dorinda reacts on film, first she was all I am the one who introduced them she's known Tom for years, then when the Regency photo came out she was all I don't really know Tom, then when she became a Bridesmaid and she was doing interviews they are perfect for each other because they are exactly the same. Ramona, Bethenny, Carole, Dorinda & Tinsley will keep their main HW roles. I think they will add another - I would love it if Heather could be convinced to come back 5 Link to comment

breezy424 August 6, 2017 Share August 6, 2017 They'll all be back. No demotions. Maybe a new person but I have my doubts. This was probably the best ever season of the franchise. I don't think they'll screw with the formula. 7 Link to comment
Almost 3000 August 6, 2017 Share August 6, 2017 The thought has crossed my mind that B doesn't want to be back and knew it for much of the season. Its why I think she decided to be ok with Tinsley. B knows Carole wants to stay and my guess also needs the job so B being nicer to Tinsley is a gift to team Carole. 3 Link to comment

If anyone has a smaller role I would guess it might be Bethenny, since she has another show. 22 hours ago, crgirl412 said: at they will all be back and maybe another one added as talk of the lack of diversity came up this year. I don't get the demand for diversity from Bethenny. Maybe she can give up her seat on the bus. Having said that since Bethenny wants real Jewish women on the show-I do believe she has opened the door for more Jill Zarin. So I expect to see Jill on the show next year. Her time out has been significant and it is probably time for her special form of magic to return. 1 hour ago, Almost 3000 said: The thought has crossed my mind that B doesn't want to be back and knew it for much of the season. I will be interested to see how Tinsley and Bethenny fare at the Reunion. Bethenny had nothing nice to say about Tinsley when she was on WWHL in LA. The bigger problem may be is if Tinsley settles in Chicago and there is no reason for her to be on the show. Or if she decides to get married. Bethenny said these women come on the show to either suck up to her or pick a fight with her. Tinsley did an excellent job of sucking up. 4 Link to comment

How else will she attack someone's ethnic legitimacy on a national platform like she did with Jules? Another woman of color would allow Bethenny to inform said minority that she's not a positive representation of her culture AND provide Carole with an opportunity to wax expert on racial pride/vanity plus give the rest of the women a chance to exclaim "you can't call someone racist!" as they do in Beverly Hills. In any case, I think I'm in the minority opinion on the season as a whole: I didn't find it that entertaining and pretty much tuned out these past two eps - watching Sonja play the sloppy pig drunk is no longer novel and, really, if I wanted to see a belligerent, marble-mouthed variety of intoxication a la Dorinda, I could just go out with specific friends/acquaintances. The season reached peak fatigue for me, though, when Ramona docilely allowed Bethenny to lecture her about how she needed to try harder at being a good person. As far as next year's roster, I don't think LuAnn is any peril - she's in a much stronger position than she was going into seasons six and eight with a ready-made storyline to boot. Carole and Dorinda are locks IMO thanks to Andy's favorable disposition toward them. Tinsley is likeable but kind of dull and uninteresting from my perspective but I think she's nabbed her "pass go" ticket with the Scott Kluth romance and Carole's friendship. I am mystified that Sonja has managed to hang on to her apple at all but I think Tinsley made a grave error by getting into it with her at the reunion. It lays the groundwork for a feud narrative. Likewise, I don't think Ramona has merited anything beyond a FOH designation for several years now but production seems content to let her hang on to her spot for life. 4 Link to comment

Bethenny felt very comfortable blasting Jules as Jewish woman to Jewish woman but I hope if a non-Jewish minority were to join, she would not make a fool of herself and that goes double for Carol who needs to MHOB when someone wants to describe themselves in particular way. Ramona is the East Coast's Vicki in that they always be full-time and will only leave in a body bag (designer, of course!) 5 Link to comment
Otherkate August 7, 2017 Share August 7, 2017 If I get my way, the cast will be exactly the same. This is the most I've enjoyed any season of ANY Real Housewives franchise in years. I think I would last about 20 minutes with Tinsley in real life, but she was just the right addition to this particular stew this year. I can not, for even a second, entertain the thought of having to endure Jill Zarin again. Not after all this fun I've had. 7 Link to comment

One thought....I think Tinsely is the OC's Meghan. I think the producers are bringing in younger women for when the older women move on. We are getting there with Ramona. The Tinsley's and Meghan's of the world will start bringing in their younger friends soon. Maybe not next season but not too far away. Edited August 13, 2017 by Jextella 3 Link to comment
FeverDog August 15, 2017 Share August 15, 2017 (edited) I would love to see Ramona and Sonja exit, with some younger housewives join -- who are actually married. No one on this show is even married even though it's called Real Housewives. Edited August 15, 2017 by FeverDog spelling 2 Link to comment

breezy424 August 15, 2017 Share August 15, 2017 I really don't care about the 'age' thing. A woman at sixty can be as, or even more, interesting than a woman in her thirties. I do agree that I would like to see more women who actually married. That was the original concept of the franchise. 5 Link to comment

They come from a different era and are definately in a different social circle than than the others. But, I think it would be interesting to see how this plays out - esp. for 60-year old Ramona. She's not in walker in a nursing home or anything. She's got some good years ahead of her and I'd like to see how she navigates things into old age. This would be revolutionary TV, IMO and with our population getting older, it would be very relevant. This will be a year-by-year situation, me thinks. 4 Link to comment

Would Bravo have the nerve to hire her good friend Missy, the jump-off? she seems like she needs a check and I agree with you, it would be smart of Bravo to expose different age groups. I for one, don't care if the people are married or single or partnered, the more diverse, the merrier, Imo. 2 Link to comment
breezy424 August 18, 2017 Share August 18, 2017 I think they'll stick with what works. This group works. I don't get the 'era' thing. They're all basically middle aged. Ro is sixty and she's certainly not elderly. Tins is the youngest but she's in her early forties. Lu skied down that mountain as well as any forty, thirty or twenty old could. Age is just a number. A forty five year old can have a seven year old daughter. A forty five year old can also be a grandmother. In today's world as well as the last thirty or so years, there's so many blurred lines about age and where you're supposed to be. People don't automatically get married after college. Women have careers. People don't have kids in their early twenties or not at all by choice. I don't know about social circles. Certainly Lu, So, Ro and Doris knew each other. Tins was in another social world. Carole was hanging out with John and Carolyn. Beth was at the race track. It's one of the most interesting groups in a franchise. Them and Beverly Hills. 7 Link to comment

Same here; I don't care about the title of the show and whether the women are actually married or not. (Actually, I feel the housewives are often the most uninteresting in this franchise.) And I like the range of ages. I enjoyed this season so I hope not too much changes. Maybe a little (a lot) less Ramona, and a return to the fun Sonja of old. Here's to hoping LuAnn doesn't waste any screentime mourning her 7-month marriage. 6 Link to comment
RedheadZombie August 29, 2017 Share August 29, 2017 I've heard people speculate (elsewhere) that Ramona will be dropped because she's so toxic, and the other women barely tolerate her. But after OC kept Vicki, which forced them to keep Kelly, bring back Lydia, and hire Peggy - all to be "Team Vicki" since the rest of the cast refused to film with her, and none of whom are particularly liked by fans - I'm sure Ramona and Sonja will keep their apples. It would seem that the days of getting rid of HO's because the rest of the cast despise them (Danielle, NJ) are over. Which they've proven by adding Danielle back to NJ. So Bravo is tone deaf to fans AND casts. 5 Link to comment

Of course they are produced by different production companies so who knows what decisions will be made. 3 Link to comment
motorcitymom65 August 29, 2017 Share August 29, 2017 My hope for next season - no matter who comes and who goes - is that they learned that the formula they had this season largely worked. Not a ton of drama, and gals who actually have a fondness for each other. They still argue and fight, but they don't hate each other. There might be a lapse in filming - one gal doesn't want to film with another for a while - but they get over it and move on. And lots of group events, right from the start of the season, which I love. I thought it was such a good season. And the OC sucks, yet still averages better ratings than this show does. Go figure. 5 Link to comment

Alonzo Mosely FBI October 28, 2017 Share October 28, 2017 I would love to see Jill back, she is quite a character and I think her time out has been served. Bethenny needs a new counterpoint. Luann’s recovery and come back is also something I’m looking forward to. I’ve she’ll handle it with the same grace as falling in the bush in Mexico. Can’t wait. 2 Link to comment

On her inst. account, only a picture of her drinking water at the gym recently! No mention of filming from Bethenny either, only that Cookie is not doing well, she had a seizure lasting 45 minutes and that she/peanut (Bryn) need to make a "decision" soon. Nothing on Luann's/Tinsley's accounts either. 1 Link to comment
