Well Twit might have more socially relevant dancing, ie hip hop.  At least she does have some skill, but that's the advantage of youth I gues.

@qqererer, you're killing me with this Ragen stuff. I've been laughing my ass off for hours, esp. since, after watching this video, I went to YouTube & watched a few more. It's uncanny how similar Ragen & Twit are, yet as far as I can tell, neither has ever acknowledged the other.  To use Ragen's fave word: professional jealousy?

Wow, this woman is terrible. I'm reading a column where someone who was diagnosed with pseudotumor cerebri and was advised to lose 5% of her body weight to help prevent the blindness that can occur, asked Ragen if she should do it because it would mean modifying her body size. Ragen advised against it. WTF?? As someone formerly morbidly obese, I'm all for not hating yourself because of your size but risking blindness??? Wow.

You are a bitter, mean spirited old lady.

We would get along great.

Have we heard if there is a Season 5 yet? Has she mentioned filming or anything?

On a recent live chat Twit told her fans that she didn't know anything, so the assumption is that TLC has not yet green-lighted a new season. But the channel has also not said that MBFFL is cancelled.

I was looking at her FB page, and on the MBFFL page someone dared to suggest that Whit was sabotaging her weight loss.
The true believers attacked the poor woman, and one fan actually wrote "You obviously didn't watch the show last season. I saw Whitney working her butt off and making healthy choices."
Anyone else miss those episodes too?

Perhaps this is a good time to remind everyone of my fave moment: fat girl skiing.

https://www.tlc.com/tv-shows/my-big-fat-fabulous-life/videos/whitney-goes-skiing

Note that TH Twit sez the episode taught her that she needs to do something about her weight now that she has discovered she can't really be fabulous at 400 #s. How quickly she & the Nit-Whits have forgotten that lesson. The new lesson is that she has no intention of trying to lose weight.

BTW, Friday is the deadline for cruise bookings. It'll be interesting to see how that plays out, given the fact that the cruise is not yet sold out.

P.S. TLC obviously still has a relationship with Twit since it continues to carry her "Ask Whitney" advice column. Also, TLC is now sponsoring a "stop bullying" contest & features Twit, Jazz & a little person in its announcement.

Just one example of a comment from the MBFFL FB page, and the delusional first response. Damn, you cannot say ANYTHING to these people, no matter how well-worded.

Wow... just wow. She has these people brainwashed.

They are all drinking the Kool-aid.

I wish they would fire her now.

OMG. The lipidema is really apparent in this photo. A woman commented that she looked terrible in these jeans & of course is being hauled over the coals by the Nit-Whits. (How can she tell these are jeans from the photo? Couldn't they be her usual leggings?)

Does anyone else feel kind of awkward seeing Whitney put her hands on her "hips?" All I can think about are how her actual hipbones are EXTREMELY far away from where her hands are.

Dear god, I just looked at those comments you mentioned. The level of bullying is insane. They are saving her photos and reposting them to rip her appearance apart, saying things like "bullying is never okay, you hideous bucktoothed cunt." What the FUCK is wrong with these folks?!

The best oblivious comment was something along the line of Twit not really looking awful, it's just the way she's standing.

BTW, Friday is the cruise deadline. This is a desperation pitch.

I hope when she goes to Belize she takes the ziplining/caving tubing tour.  Oh wait.  They fat shame people there, so there's a weight limit on the zipline.  And I'm thinking they'd need a larger tube.

Never mind.

The cruise is going to happen anyways.  The only difference is how many/nice free rooms she gets for her friends.

Yeah, but what happens if Twit doesn't get the estimated 200 bookings needed for enuf freebies for her entire entourage? I doubt she is going to pay their way. And, excepting her parents, how many of her people are willing to pay for their rooms? Or able to? (I'm thinking Buddy & Heather, at a minimum.) So, who gets thrown off the boat? Not her 3 invited guests, surely, tho how unfair is that to all the people who have put up with her for years. And if her fans who thought they would be partying with all Twit's "family & friends" don't see half of them, will they feel cheated?

Donna posted a meme on Whitney's facebook page that says "when you and your best friend both hate the same person and love bitching about them", to which Heather replied "every damn day". Sounds a lot like bullying behavior to me! Or maybe it doesn't count because you don't do it to their face? But isn't this exactly what that guy on the plane did to that girl who read his private messages? Or maybe you can trash people behind their backs as long as you don't call them fat?

The boat is going to take any money they can get.

Twits followers are in it for me time with Twit.  Less guests mean more one on one time.

If you see most of the pics from the previous cruise, it's all the guests with themselves, not with twit, except for group photos.

Whitney, since we all know you read this, read THIS: stop letting your devoted following of absolute sociopaths stalk and bully everyone who says one unkind word about you on Facebook. It is simply shocking the level of body shaming that you are allowing to happen on your page. You say you can't stop your fans from acting out like that, but you can delete their comments, or you can say "hey, guys, this is actually body shaming, and that is wrong." No wonder everyone thinks you are a total fucking hypocrite. Your belief in no body shaming extends only as far as your own gut does. Your fans are absolute 100% LOSERS the second they rip apart the appearance of a "hater." (And just because I'm shallow, the ones who are most venomous about calling someone ugly sure ain't nothin' to look at themselves. I can say that, because I consider myself a total butterface.)

Whitney is approaching a new level as far as her online presence goes. She reminds me of those super-militant fat activists who claim HAES and no-body-shame, yet in the same breath say the opinions of "lesser fatties" (ie anyone under 300 lb) is unwelcome. And if someone dares to lose weight, they are shunned Amish-style.

Well, this will be interesting to see how it plays out. When we see the group pictures we will be able to see how many twitfans are on board as well as how many of the barnacles are with them. We'll do the math.

One of the sadder comments I've seen on Twit's FB page was when she captioned a selfie: "just sitting in my bra in my car; what are you doing?" There were the kinds of replies one would expect: having lunch, sitting at my desk, walking the dog, etc.

But one woman said she was at the hospital being prepped for gastric bypass surgery. Anticipating the bullying from the Nit-Whits, she was actually APOLOGETIC that she was doing this, humbly explaining that certain medical conditions forced her to this decision.

How sad is it that someone trying to lose weight to save her life has to apologize for that?

The bullied have become cruel bullies themselves. They're actually worse--at least most bullies know they're mean. Whitney and gang are bullies under the guise of NBS.

No chance of "iceberg" lettuce in the Caribbean.  Too bad the Titanic didn't sail further south.  (Sorry - off topic, but enjoyed the opportunity to use "iceberg" in a post about a cruise.)

I could never understand how this went on, because  the one I read about was in the Gulf, and not all that far off shore.  I couldn't see why the passengers weren't offloaded.

I think up until it became really obvious that they couldn't, they were desperately trying to make it back to New Orleans. They absolutely didn't want the nightmare scenario of offloading elsewhere and paying to get everyone transported with their junk. When they got off the boat here in Mobile, they weren't allowed off the boat until late at night under the guise of "Immigration Control" having to be there and no one was allowed to exit the cruise terminal. It was mostly to make sure the press was not able to access passengers, I think, because city officials had been told that they would be offloading and to expect to see an influx of dinnertime guests while luggage was offloaded and transportation arranged. So there were several places downtown that opened up or staffed up and then were screwed when no passengers were allowed out of the cruise terminal.

I get the impression that there was a series of FUBARs that spiralled out of control. I know only one passenger was removed while it was in the Gulf after a medical emergency. If I'd been on there, I would have been one of those medical emergencies with my insulin that has to stay cold. But that's why I refuse to get on any boat that goes further out than I can reasonably swim to shore from.

I'll never go on a cruise because of this (and my ptsd and my social panic disorder).

And how is it possible for so many cruises to perpetuate norovirus? I know how dangerous it is, just one patient exposure wiped out our entire district of medical responders but damn, you hear it all the time on the news.

No Poo Cruises for me, thanks.

I've done 17 cruises, with reservations made for two more.  Yes, there is occasionally norovirus.  I am not a germaphobe, but I am extremely careful on cruise ships.  There are hand sanitizers all over the place, and I never walk past one without stopping to use it.  I also carry hand wipes, and use it on menu covers and on my hands after looking at a menu.  Of all the things I've never seen them wipe down . . . MENUS.  They are notoriously the germiest thing in any restaurant.  Even on a ship with norovirus, when they take the salt and pepper shakers off of tables (ask your steward if you need some, and THEY will season your food), I sat in the dining room and watched them NEVER clean off the darned menus.

The problem is that in some cultures, hand washing is not part of their routine, even after using the restroom.  And then in an environment like a cruise ship, BAM.  That's why I DO become a germaphobe while cruising . . . and have never had a problem.

And I also love to travel by ship. I have gotten seasick on occasion and it is usually because I am exhausted and the ship has encountered a hurricane and I can say there is nothing worse than feeling so completely awful and not knowing when conditions will improve. One transatlantic crossing I couldn't keep the Dramamine down but that was after biking for 6 weeks before boarding and falling asleep to wake up in very heavy seas.

Knowing that, I am paranoid about germy surfaces. I don't use handrails, never open the doors without a paper towel between my hand and the handle, and use a knuckle to push elevator buttons. So...no Noro so far and I have lost count of the number of trips.

The thing about Whitney's cruise is that the price that is quoted does not include the service charge and other incidentals. Those spa treatments and fruity drinks are not inexpensive by any stretch of the imagination. I usually buy a bottle of wine in the dining room and make it last over the course of several days and even then, a bottle is easily twice what I would pay on land.

When y'all discuss cruises, I always wonder: is food available on the days the ship is in port? I notice of the 8 days of Twit's cruise, only 2 are spent sailing. So, do you have to get off the boat & fend for yourself on the days the boat's not moving? Or can you find food on the boat that's included in what you paid for your booking? And entertainment? Like, is the swimming pool still open?

Since iceberg lettuce is the only salad green Twit will eat, she'd probably be very happy. No surprise that anything Twit eats has virtually ZERO nutrients. Rabbit owners are warned not to feed iceberg lettuce to their pets because it has no nutrtional value for them.

Absolutely, food is still available on port days. Lines are shorter and things like massages are usually cheaper. They have to pay the spa people, so they lower prices to encourage passengers to use the services. Swimming pools are open, and they have other activities, but not as many as on sea days. Only things closed while the ship is in port are the on-board shops and the casino. Neither of those are places I go to anyway, so that's not a big deal for me.

I don't know that there will ever be "final sales" on this thing. Even tho the deadline is past, cabins are still being made available. Twit sold enuf bookings, I think, so that the cruise won't be cancelled. The question is: how many of her barnacles will get a freebie? And will those who don't, pay their own way? We'll never know, I would guess.
