Sometimes the people who talk the most about the $$$ they give actually give the least and vice versa. Yeah, reminds me of this woman at my workplace who was always collecting money for the "sunshine fund" for sick colleagues ... until we found out that she never actually donated to the fund. 6 7 1 2 Link to comment

I also doubt that the DA's office which employs Derick, makes monetary donations to that charity. The DA's office is a public agency, operating on public money - and the state of Oklahoma doesn't lavishly fund any public agency. I don't think the DA's office would (or could) hand out wads of its cash to any private charity. But they may refer people to the charity and generally support its work without making monetary donations. Hence the Dillards' attending the fundraiser. 9 1 2 Link to comment

I wonder if that charity (private nonprofit) qualifies for grant money administered by the DA's office. I worked for a state agency in a different state and that did happen. In our case if was a federal formula grant program. 2 9 Link to comment

Is Everyone Gone November 1 Share November 1 Am I the only one who sees a baby bump on Jill? Arkansas is a very red state. I imagine these costumes are very popular there. 4 1 Link to comment

Or they know zero Puerto Ricans in their little white corner of the world. I refuse to believe they are dressing that way in an ironic or pointed fashion. They just stepped right into that. I think they're representing an insult made toward a different group. But anyway, a picture of Derick calling himself garbage is an accurate picture. 20 1 Link to comment

Fosca November 2 Share November 2 I think Jill really wants a girl. Hopefully if she is pregnant this gives her the daughter she wants. 6 Link to comment

I'm actually surprised that people thought they had changed. The only reason they fell out with Jill's parents was money, not theology . Had JB given them what they wanted they'd still be praising him. 12 1 6 1 Link to comment

Derick has never changed but his repair-his-image campaign and his 'outing' of JB had some folks changing their minds. IMO, nobody who publicly spouted the shit Derick spouted can redeem themselves without denouncing what they said, followed by actions proving it. 14 3 Link to comment
ginger90 November 2 Share November 2 (edited) It still amazes me that long ago, any weight was put on the fact Jill was wearing pants, got a piercing. Both are outward, doesn’t change a thing. I do have some positives about them but I don’t feel like mentioning them. 🤣 Edited November 2 by ginger90 9 Link to comment

I think much of the "love" for Derick was really just folks enjoying someone beating JB at something. Underdog Derick takes down the more hated entity and becomes the hero. Even though they are both the same. 13 Link to comment
Is Everyone Gone November 2 Share November 2 I don't think any of these people have really changed their core beliefs. All of them are extremely conservative and religious. I do think some of the Duggar children have taken steps to make their kids' lives better than their own childhood. 13 Link to comment
EmeraldGirl November 3 Share November 3 Jill said that she might get tattoos, not ruling it out. Probably something to do with the babies she lost. I think she’s in a really happy place. The two oldest are going to school, she seems to love being home with the little one. She cooks every day and seems to make some interesting international dishes. Plus she loves gardening. That’s a lot more than her mother ever did at that age, or any age. 19 Link to comment
