How are Jared's leg even doing that?

Please tell me his back is leaning against that wall and he's not just balancing himself like that somehow?

Not that I don't believe Jensen could do it, but I think the photo was taken is crooked, so it's an optical illusion that he's leaning backward...in fact, if you straighten the image, he's actually leaning forward a tad.

As to Jared's legs...I've got nuttin'! ;)

Ok what is this thread rated? I used to think I wanted to have my first and last threesome with Starsky and Hutch (70s ones, so I’d obviously need a time machine). However, now I’m thinking that if I can’t find a Delorean, I will be happy with my life’s only FOURsome being with Dean/Sam/Cas.  They look so good in today’s Upfronts pics. Can I even say this here? Should I? No forget that I said anything. I’m happily married and I’m not objectifying these poor souls. Post masters, feel free to delete this trash. I don’t blame you. 😬

I’m speaking of the characters, of course. Not the actors. That would be weird.

Good. Lord.

I think his body type is the ultimate turn-on for me, and even just a hint of skin from him does more for me than any other's birthday suit would. ;-D

Okay....I'm just reposting this. Maybe I shouldn't. It's kind of pornographic....well not kind of it flat out is....but not intentional...okay what the hell....

Not intentional,  so that makes it manslaughter, not murder one.

Not sure where to put this, since it's Jensen, not Dean (though without any eye candy attached. 😊

I'm terrible I guess but I want to see Jensen in a completely new genre - wowing people and growing as an actor.

I think the best thing for Jensen would be if *immediately* after SPN ends, he'd get a (necessarily small) role in a big-budget, well-written film with an A-list director.   If he can wow the critics and casting directors in a role totally unlike SPN or any of his previous work, that'll show his range/versatility and hopefully will make them think of him not just as a horror/genre actor.

Once he has something different to show, he can take time off or some superhero roles again; but I don't think he should go directly from SPN into anything too similar.  JMO.

IMO, Jensen has played a gamut of different roles within Dean alone and the not Dean roles as well. He's shown all facets of a character and all emotions. He can do anything, IMO.

IA, Jensen can (and has) shown all facets of a character in SPN.  The idea is to get A-list directors and casting people to take a serious look at him, since he's inextricably linked with horror and the CW at the moment.  That's generally not a good recommendation for anything other than more of the same, no matter how good you are at it.

I guess for me, it's not that Jensen is an unknown but that he seems to have chosen his path by sticking with SpN to the bitter end.

Ithink Hollywood knows of Jensen. He is in well with the President of Warner Bros TV which is no small thing. He was told by David Nutter who directed the Pilot and the GoT pilot and several GoT episodes to let him know when he had time for GoT and he would make it happen. It was between him and  Tom Welling for Clark Kent on Smallville but they chose Tom Welling because he more looked the part.

He worked on Dark Angel (James Cameron production ) for one episode and they liked him so much they created a role specifically for him which he played for a season or two and kind of stole the show lowkey.  So for me, I don't think it's a lack of familiarity with Jensen. He's gotten good to great buzz in the media in general for his work as Dean which I think will carry him a long way to something else.

This is mostly my point.  Everything he's done so far (and everything you mentioned) is all in the same genre--superhero/supernatural/horror.  My point is to show the ones in charge that he can do other things.  We know his abilities can transfer to anything, but as long as he's considered teen/horror/genre fav, I'm afraid that's all they'll consider him for.

Something different would make them take a second look.  Personally,  I'd love to see him in a western.

I think that genre shows/movies are wildly underrated as dramatic works. Sure, there are fantastical elements which IMO belie the real drama. To me, SPN has always been a family drama masquerading as horror. Angel was a story of adult life and sacrifice. Buffy was about high school really. Comic book shows are not the odd cousin anymore. There is a great deal of depth and layers in many genre shows now, which I think Hollywood gets now.  It might not be some folks cuppa but that doesn't make it less than.

I would like to see Jensen be involved in any project that has decent writing, respects his talents and is creatively different, that builds it's own world. And even if a comic character like Batman needs to hit certain beats, it can still be done effectively like with The Dark Knight.  The worst thing for me is to see him on some shitty procedural (Yes, I know  SPN has procedural elements but I'm talking like a CSI sort of thing.)

That might be what he enjoys doing though.

But will the money guys still want to hire him for leads in teen horror movies when he's 50?  Especially if he's not a big name elsewhere.   I don't really want to see him as the hero's father.   But maybe that's just me.

I think he has enjoyed the community around hero shows so far. He likes going to comic cons and being able to interact with the fans. Plus, it supplements the income that he makes from being on the show.

He is worth 14 million dollars, I doubt he needs to really worry about money at this point in his life. I hope he picks projects because he wants to do them. And considering that he and Jared wanted SPN to go down to 10 episodes a season, I think he will be drawn to more movies or series on streaming services where there are shorter filming schedules.

I would hate to see him become the next Tom Cavanagh, stuck as being the old guy on The Flash forever.

Soon after they announced the ending of the show, they did a con wherein Jensen  said that he wanted to see what else was out there for him as an actor.

I honestly feel that that is precisely what he's doing.

If I was a betting person, I'd bet that he has numerous offers of roles and it's just a matter of going with the one that interests him the most; and if none of them do, then maybe he'd even try out for some that he wasn't offered.

I think that's who he is an actor, at this point.

And  I totally believe that all of his years with SPN have afforded him the financial freedom to do whatever he wants to after the show ends, even if that were to be retiring from the business entirely-which I don't see happening as he has also  very often said that he likes working and indeed, he likes working every day.

I'm thinking he will wait to announce his next project after the show has finished filming-maybe even at Jibcon.

I like your thinking,  but I hope that whatever project he's doing next is big enough and buzzy enough that it's not him doing the announcing at all.

I'm with you on this for sure, but I was wondering how it might be annonunced if he were to sign on for say a show that might be written especially for him on one of the streaming services-and especially if it was on one of the newer streaming services.

Well hopefully they'll have PR and publicity regardless of the medium. My Twitter feed is full of annoucements and they are rarely from the artist themselves.   I'd expect Variety or TVLine etc to break it, via the studio or network itself.

Even Jared's project was announced before it even had the pilot order. I'd kind of cry if Jensen told 'us' at a con.

I was thinking more at a M&G where they're sworn to secrecy if nothing has been publically reported by that time.

But now I'm wondering if they even do M&Gs at Jibcon...

More prestigious streaming projects - as in either brand names people know or actors people know - gets announced by the studios/networks in question all over social media and press. I mean, that is the point of making those projects in the first place.

Even Stephen Amell`s new project got announced before Arrow`s final Season even aired and that is gonna be a little show on Starz. I bet you anything, if he didn`t play the lead role, it wouldn`t have gotten the press.

As for the net worth, that is obviously guess work. Someone is just tallying up what they know of their show`s salaries (and for movie actors their known salaries) and doing the math from there. It won`t take into account other investments and business ventures. Not in profits or in losses. And does anyone truly know if the guys made some royalties deal with SPN, as in they are getting some % from the streaming etc? Some internet site won`t have actual data on what a given actor truly is worth financially.

Not to mention the conventions. I’m sure those are quite lucrative for all parties.

Not sure if this is where this goes, but the CW just released some season 15 cast photos.  I honestly don't think they could have made Jared look worse if they tried.  Jensen, Misha and Alex's photo's all look pretty good.

http://www.ksitetv.com/supernatural/supernatural-season-15-cast-photos-released/199725/

The photos are of the characters, not the actors.  And that's Sam's default expression (a good deal of the time.)  It's been used on most of the DVD covers and publicity shots for years.  They only smile and goof around BTS on photo shoots when they're being themselves.  (You can always tell Misha vs. Castiel in photos.😊)
