Sounds like she's definitely playing Nora from what I've seen so far on the interwebs. I kind of miss her, not that she's needed at all. But I don't mind seeing her. She was in one of the all time best storylines in daytime, and for that I'll always love her.

Is it going to be weird when she sees Franco?

So the production vales are pathetic but Frank can find money to bring on more actors. Existing GH characters, including some of the newbies, can't get any story but whatever character HBS is playing will probably eat up the screen. I'm sorry, I liked OLTL too, but there's zero reason why she needs to be here. This show doesn't need any more new characters, especially not ones created just to give Frank's OLTL friends a job. If they just insist on bringing on new characters why can't it be someone who has some type of connection to GH?

In theory and in a different environment, I don't have a problem with Nora making an appearance for a case (and I will watch it, sadly - Nora is one of my top favorites of all time). That's a typical old minor crossover ABC used to do with its soaps. But in the reality we're in, Frank and Ron have pushed this shit for far too long and all I can do is sigh and shake my head. Nothing LeftPhalange said is incorrect, when Howarth and Easton are already pulling massive focus on the show it's just so inappropriate.

That being said, as long as she doesn't rewrite Prospect Park's run (and I doubt she will in a single story-related appearance) I can survive.

I don't think bringing Nora on is objectively a bad idea, and as TeeVee329 wrote, if she's on only for a short time for a specific story, it might be fine. I'm also with jsbt that I don't want her stint here to contradict anything that happened on OLTL.

I really hope Nora's not in town to represent Franco in any capacity, because then it'd be all, "Look, look, remember how her character was his character's lawyer in that memorable storyline, remember!".

*small voice* And if part of Nora's case was some kind of digital evidence recovered by a aquatic monikered police officer and she name-checked him, that'd be fine too. *small voice*

Man I LOVE HBS! And the woman can act. But I too hope she's just here for a short stint. Maybe she's Lulu's attorney? We've already been told that neither Alexis nor Diane handle family law, and that Diane recommended someone to them. So why not have it be Nora? I really have no issue with actors from other soaps coming to GH. With very few exceptions, everyone from current GH started on other shows. So this 'not a GH character' doesn't really make sense to me. That being said,  there's been far too many new characters lately. I like to think that had RoHo been cast as Steven Lars or some other GH character other than Franco, people wouldn't have such an issue. Same with ReBu if she'd been a recast. But IMO there's also nothing inherently wrong with new people coming to town. Everyone can't always be related to everyone else. IRL people move away and new people move in to a neighborhood/city. Why wouldn't that hold true for a soap as well? The real problem is that when FV/Jelly bring in someone new, that person gets the lion's share of air time at the expense of other, long(er)-term characters.

I mean YMMV of course, but I'm looking forward (for now) to seeing HBS again.

Sorry GHers, but I just flung myself down the stairs in complete joy! OLTL was my first soap and I still watch episodes on DVD.  I loved the entire ABC soap line up (except whatever came on at 12:30. Hopefully this is the spring board to a revived mini series, TV movies, something other than sticking characters on GH.

We didn't call her Inezzzzzzzz for nothing. She was a complete bore, and the progenitor of the Fords—for that alone she deserved all the slaps.

If Nora is here for the Charlotte custody battle, who's the other lawyer if Diane and Alexis don't do family law (and it looks as if Alexis won't have her law license back anyway)? I can't imagine it will be some random day player. 

ETA: Same question if she's here in some capacity for Franco. Who's the DA these days, Scott? Or maybe Nora comes in as the new temp DA? I can live with that, though the justice system in PC is never on the winning side, so here's hoping her stay is limited. Nora Hanen Gannon Buchanan should not always be losing.
