Meeka trolling Sam Stein … I don’t get it; of all the people she could “troll” - why him. And she is bad at it.  Is MJ the only network show that Chris Matthews appears on? He needs to start a podcast or something; I can’t see him coming back anytime soon.

I wonder if Joe will get into the PGA/LIV merger tomorrow. I would actually like to hear his thoughts.

I'm enjoying the interviews with the Broadway folks that are happening, I'm guessing to promote the upcoming Tonys this weekend.  I only work from home 2 days a week, but I love the few I've seen recently, including today with Victoria Clark.  I think Willie really likes doing them... and then Mika shows up.  Sigh...she tries.  I did laugh when Victoria told Mika how much she appreciated 50over50 and KYV.  Ha!

man I just hope Joe is actually *there*, I just watched the second half of yesterday's show and Joe went awol at 8 a.m. and never returned!

i wonder why he would go all the way to DC to finally do a live human show, only to miss half of it? 

*small voice* i still kinda liked the 9 a.m. hour though? i thought mika was actually very good with the guests when she was with them in person, not stressed, making them all individually feel comfortable and welcome  

re: Broadway segments they are good but it's still frustrating that they're always on in the west coast hour. but broadway people are night owls and they don't wake up early, I guess that's probably why. But couldn't they pre record them and put them in one of the east coast hours, it would be much better publicity for the shows aggh

Mika is in dc but having one of those days where she lets backseat driving joe take over everything in spite of her actual human self being present.

joe and mika aren't talking, probably some drama, Joe is just going to willie all the time

it's basically one of those days where there's no laughter, but also yesterday was so gooood, whyyyy 😫

i saw her as the fairy godmother in cinderella as basically a teen and i remember so vividly I wished she'd adopt me! her whole talented self is basically *chef's kiss*

Kemper, Richard Haas is covering this golf thingy, is he doing a good job, I can't tell because golf talk makes my brain short circuit.

anyhoo, i mentioned my obsession with Victoria Clarke in Cinderella to my friend and he sent me this clip, which I didn't even know existed! and i'm gonna post to cheer us all up in these shitty circumstances

look look look at the costume changes with the spinning!!!

i know a lot of writers are on strike right now but let's never forget how ridiculously underpaid Broadway costumers are aaaaaah

i honestly wonder what's up with this show the last 2 weeks

there are clips out there of the old show and Joe and Mika before they were married were always in the same place and it was so much fun

now they are married and never in the same place and always mad at each other it's so depressing.

and they are never with willie either

there's a lengthy hamlet segment rn and there's a lot of yelling and i don't even know what they are even talking about

there's zero joy

it's like they've just given up on life and being alive

For someone that touts his I'm a student of history and loves to throw out Lincoln, Churchill, etc everyday, interesting that Joe has no problem rewriting history when it comes to the actors on January 6th.

The panel is willing to go to the edge but not willing to state the facts. Why does no one want to talk about the real Mike Pence?

Going after Claire? No, man. Just no. Joe has also lost the ability to count. It was less than eight years ago when he was calling Trump to check if MJ should be asking him easier questions. 

And these people who we need "to show grace"? They let us know for four years what they would do to the American people just to get closer to power and that's more than enough reason to deem them ill-suited for government if I choose to do so.

but in fairness Claire is a perfect human.

Joe said Presidents should not break the law. Joe bragged about the numerous times he was given classified information in a special room. He left the room without taking the documents with him. He never disclosed the classified info to anyone including Mika.

It's nice to see the whole panel together. Joe gave an update on NYC. He was upset that Duane Read locks up all merchandise. Joe was happy to see tourists in NYC but was concerned about vacant office buildings.

Mika said a bathroom lock at Mar a Largo  is not a good way to secure classified documents The door locks from the inside.

Joe has not visited the NYC subway yet.

Joe was hesitant to admit that he travels by police escort motorcade throughout the city.

I mute the show, but on the chyron for like 40 minutes it said "GOP refuse to condemn Trump, say prosecution is malicious, divisive."  or whatever.  And that super super long segment is followed with a segment of Chris Christie, Barr, Nikki Hailey overtly calling out Trump and being seriously critical.  I don't understand the notion that the GOP aren't condemning him.
And then there was a segment where Katty co-wrote a book about women redefining power and success.  Joe listened with his arms crossed and leaning way way back in his chair.  Then, guess what?  Then he interrupts them and mansplains the world to them.
side note. Hillary Clinton just tweeted about Claire Shipman's and Katty Kay's book, and the comments beneath are beyond vile.  The volume of comments in 1 hour is staggering. (I was looking to see if anyone called out Joe this morning for interrupting Katty and Claire, and Twitter was dependably Twitter.)

Mika's eyebrows lead me to suspect that the show's new makeup artist has a stint with Ringling Brothers somewhere on their LinkedIn.

And George Conway is so ridiculously tanned (he was pasty-skinned just a few days ago) that he looks like Kramer after he fell asleep on the tanning bed.   I don't know what's going on with George between his hair and now his skin but he looks more absurd every time he appears on TV.

But here we have half a dozen lawyers on the same show and everyone of them has a different legal take on the subject.

Honestly, I can’t listen to it anymore. Hour after hour after hour. Same lawyers, same analysts all saying the same thing they said the hour, show, day before. I would welcome Roger Bennett shrieking about soccer, Joe talking baseball. 

Oh!! I just saw George Conway - briefly, so maybe the snippet was a rerun. Millennium you are spot on. He sort of resembles a thin Oompa Loompa with different hair.  CNN gets Adam Kinsinger and this network gets George Conway. 🤭

Interesting that Joe brought up Trump insulting Rosie O’Donnell. I remember Joe, Mika and Willie all laughing with Trump in interviews on this show. after he trashed Rosie . In fact there is still a YouTube video of Joe, Mika  and Willie laughing and mocking Rosie when they were  interviewing Trump!  Willie actually asked Trump if he would consider running for president and said he’d have his vote ! Trump then complimented Mika and she was very flattered !

So interesting that Mika was smiling and not worried about a woman “knowing her worth “, and sat there like the like a mean girl laughing  while male  bullies mocked a woman’s looks and weight and joked about her eating a lot of cake at Trump’s wedding ! 

Until Trump mocked Mika, Joe and Mika were still trying to kiss up to Trump and were even hanging out at Mira Lago to get an interview after he was elected !

So I find it hard to take them seriously when they are so outraged about  Trump!

Good question.  Wasn't Schmidt the campaign advisor for the Republicans, particularly Sarah Palin?  Anyway, yes, the current situation would seem to be in Schmidt's area of expertise.

Even He was enjoying Himself this week, bouncing around the studio, goofing on Ratner's intro, moving around the table. I think we even heard from TJ. But I know it won't last and they're probably putting the finishing touches on the Nantucket home studio.

Joe Scarborough, Chris Licht's only cheerleader.   Is Scarborough utterly ignorant of his audience or simply disrespectful?   Does he really expect those who have been tuning in each morning for the last seven years to feel sympathy for a highly paid network executive who platformed TFG and salted the audience with zealous TFG supporters, then had the audacity to try to sell it as a "Town Hall?"
