Maybe Carolina is starting to move away from that category of a trashy franchise. However, they still have a ways to go, but even with a loss (to the champs), it is a start. I think it's the right move. New York has a ton of needs. It was always a mistake doubling down on Jones. Nice kid, smart guy. While the QB is the most important position, it doesn't mean pay the guy there who wasn't the reason for their success whenever they had it. But that duo, especially Brian, can do better with better players throughout their franchise. Still a high crime to get Barkley go to Philadelphia. It'll be like Watt going to Baltimore or Lamar going to Pittsburgh. Carey November 25 Share November 25 4 hours ago, roamyn said: Why would you think the Giants would win that game? Baker's been doing well even w/o Godwin and Evans for a few games. The defense has been suspect, as have the Refs. Same reason why Cleveland won earlier in the week: Any given Sunday. Thursday in that instance, but the point remains that the games still have to be played. However, not the same circumstances as I knew that it was going to be bad news for Pittsburgh as mentioned earlier before the game took place. Also, New Orleans was another example. A big change for the Saints (head coach but not QB) can lead to a team being more motivated to where they might actually win from the get go. Giants/Tampa, meanwhile, wasn't divisional football, and the former was the host. I understand that Mayfield and company have been playing well. They still came in with a 4-game losing streak. Those were still loses. Figured that the team might rally with a new guy under center. Then I also forgot that the Bucs were coming off of a bye. I never said that they would; I just simply said that they "can". I got that wrong, of course, but in no way was that a prediction. 4 hours ago, roamyn said: 20 hours ago, merylinkid said: Chiefs-Panthers - ditto. Surprisingly, no. While Carolina still has a long way to go in terms of being decent, I think they've actually been putting in more effort toward not being a complete dumpster fire compared to the past year or two. More important, I didn't expect Kansas City to roll over the Panthers at all. I did expect them to win the game, but I got the feeling that it would take the full 60 minutes to make it official. KC hasn't been blowing out their opponents the season like other teams in the past. They've been "backdooring" toward the win much more often than not. Patrick (I think) mentioned post game that he wants blowouts going forward; enough of this close call stuff. Fair enough, but I wouldn't be saddened if someone blew up the Chiefs QB (for that comment). Maybe mention that he'd like to see more decisive victories. Win with class. Wasn't that the message from the champs to Buffalo? As for that NFC East early Sunday match-up: Daniels, BTW, is not 100%. Still a bad loss for Washington. Unlike Pittsburgh whose extra rest is a moot point when they travel to Cincinnati, Washington's extra rest preceded a home game against a team that played the previous Monday night. Furthermore, why are we kicking a PAT to achieve a tie? Why not go for 2 & win the game right there? I guess the end was outstanding, but it should not have gotten to that point 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/3173-nfl-thread/page/571/#findComment-8517395

Not just his father, Baker's brother is also an exec in the family investment business that took something like $18 mil from Baker's accounts without his knowledge or consent. Bernie Kosar and his father negotiated all his pro contracts, at least with the Browns. Bernie was a business major in college. The press used to fawn all over it, how Bernie didn't need an agent, his father was so business savvy. Now, all these years later, Bernie admits his father was a bully and at least verbally abusive and he didn't dare cross him back when he was a kid. The deals Bernie and his father negotiated were for far less than others who had agents got in that era. So, he not only lost out on millions in income he could've gotten with a good agent; his father's insistence on managing his money without professional guidance ultimately left him broke. Carey November 30 Share November 30 8 minutes ago, voiceover said: I know you don’t like my team and I’ve made my peace with that, but this comment makes me uncomfortable & seems really unlike you. I hope I’m misinterpreting it. To be fair, not being a fan of your team and outright disliking your team are two separate things. I actually have a lot of respect toward your team. A big reason is my respect for Andy Reid and that era pretty much making that 2012 season seem like a very bad dream that never happened. Although some of the outcomes have been painful for yours truly, the opposite has been the case as well. That being said, I think it's fair for both of us to explain my comment. Having been a fan of a team that has been bashed from all sides & a fan of several players I've met that have been disrespected in prime fashion by people that don't even know the players, I'd feel (and felt) saddened if they said the same thing. I'm at peace as well if they dislike my team. I'm okay with ripping on their live behavior, but closer to the game & product on the field. Off field, unconfirmed stuff is not cool, and that has happened several times at the very least. Long story short, in no way, shape, or form do I want to see your quarterback get taken out. When he got dinged up this afternoon, I was not pleased. I'm in the camp of beating the best with the best. I said as much when Tom Brady played. Two things to clear up: If Patrick were to get hurt to where he's done, I would not be pleased, as he's the face of the league. It's bad for business, and the revenue, well, we should know. However, injuries are part of the NFL; I'd wish a speedy recovery, but the game that existed for 3 quarters of a century before he existed himself will move forward. Therefore: No, I do not want him to get injured. I don't root for that at all. However, I think I echo at least a lot of people for their displeasure of him wanting to blow out everybody else. How is that classy? It would have been better if it came across as wanting to win games in a more decisive manner, that's all. People hearing that someone wants to pummel someone else isn't supposed to take that lightly. It is up to a team to stop someone in the right way from a rout. However, they might do so in a legal, but more aggressive way. Having seem my "favorite" foe from Baltimore engage in those tactics for quite awhile, I'm all too familiar with it. Voiceover: You're not getting someone rooting for a dirty hit to your guy from me. Never have, never will. I did post what I posted because I do think it's messed up to talk about pounding other opponents. New England didn't really say that. They sorta just did so every-so-often. I actually don't have a (big) problem with Kansas City at all. I've mentioned several times in the past that my team needs to worry about being an actual decent team before worrying about what KC has become. I actually planned on posting similar content that Marley posted prior to that post & well before your reply, BTW. One more thing: I watched that game live (Amazon Prime is more positive than negative if you ask me). The Raiders, who have been horrible all year, where pretty horrible in their game. Just pretty awful. They did not deserve to win that game, period. It's not Kansas City's fault that they missed 2 field goals. Except one of them, which isn't about blame; it's what you do to stop a team from persevering Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/3173-nfl-thread/page/571/#findComment-8521179
