I was going to comment about looking at your texts IN THE MIDDLE OF A SCENE, but then JH spoke and I don't know anything anymore. Whyyyyy?

I can't play the video. Can you explain this?

Did anyone feel like that video felt rehearsed? The vibe I got from a few of the cast was like the told their stories to whoever is producing those clips and then they were probably told to "say it like this" "Do this" and directed them through their stories

Cute video don't get me wrong but it didn't feel 100% off the cuff natural.

I mean that bit with the convenient wad of prop money? And Katie running up to give a kiss?

Proceed at your own risk.

JH: I have three dogs and I like to take the flaps of their lips and put them into my mouth.

DR's and did but everyone else pretty much felt the way they usually joke/talk (RG's serious talking made me lol) to me, but idk.

Main thing I took from this video is that the entire cast are a bunch of weirdos (in a fun way) XD.

I see KC still managed to worm her way right next to SA in a lot of those photos.

I'm trying not to let KC's front-and-center presence in so many photos and videos dampen my enthusiasm about the coming season. I'm hoping it isn't an indication of her screentime.

Who did KC kiss?

She ran up to DR as he was talking about how he and SA can't make Kac crack during a scene. She kissed him on the cheek. Looked very rehearsed.

Honestly, I liked RG's bit the best. He talked about watching reality TV and drinking champragne with his wife, talking about character development... And if you can't deal with that, we can't be friends. Something like that, I didn't replay to get the quote. KC talked about Barrowman taking pictures of his naked ass all over her trailer while she was filming an emotional scene with SA. He texted her the pics and she showed them to a grossed out SA. And apparently this all happened IN THE MIDDLE OF A SCENE. EK talked about his fear of spiders, WH about 'the Flash saving her ass' at a previous comic con, when she bent over, her dress flipped up and GG ran to tie his jacket around her waist to cover her up. SA and EBR talked about junk food, he about not being able to resist a cheese sandwich in hair and make up at SDCC, and she about ordering a cheeseburger.

Davids confession was that Stephen and him can never get Katie to break in scenes no matter what they try like whoopsie cushions and after "confessing" that Katie runs over a kisses him on the cheek while DR has these faces ??

Rick and Stephens delivery of their stories was actually one of the ones that made me feel like they practiced what they were going to say and how they were going to say it first.

SA, EBR and RG made me laugh. The rest, not so much.

I think so. There were also weird dog dreams, but those are only dreams. Come on, JH, reign it back in.

Oh yeah.  Lol.

Still, that's weird and kinda gross (even speaking as a dog lover myself) but I'd still rather have her out and out kookiness than KC's....whatever it is.

My bias may be showing. :)

I don't think it is. She's just thirsty AF, which is embarrassing when you consider this is someone who was essentially demoted and then fired, but still wants to be photographed right next to the leading man she didn't have an ounce of chemistry with. JFC.

It's not. That's been her position at SDCC since S3.

Also @Chaser

Emily also says into the cameras a line about "do I need to pay you for this therapy session- Echo do I have money? I'll pay you on the way out" and then there's a cut a we see her given a whole was if prop (real?) money to give to the cameras.

Like it sounds like I'm knocking it but it was a cute fun video just my first thought was "yeah... they didn't come up with that in two seconds"

That's just star ego.  Something I learnt from the Supergirl debacle was Melissa publicists said in their (frankly ugly) letter that the actors position themselves in SDCC interviews and photos with the exception of the leads (Stephen Melissa Grant) who in Melissa case was asked by the MTV interviewer to sit next to him.

If photo positions in cast shots were indicative of screen time, importance and popularity you'd think Stephen would be in the middle of every shot but more often then not he's in the back of off to the side because he doesn't need that validation.

Is this like the new version of when actresses talk about how much they eat to show how normal and relatable they are? 'Cause I think she's doing it wrong. JLaw what hast thou wrought!

Stephen's place in a lot of the photos had been the thing that's given me hope. I thought, "Surely, if this is by status, Stephen would be more prominent."

I don't think the money was just for that interview. He was also handing it to WH in one interview. She may have been stuffing it in her top, but I'm not really sure anymore.

It's never been indicative of screen-time before. I think these things are meant to be aesthetically pleasing. I look it at it this way, they never put much thought/effort/screen-time into LL, when she was a main character in the show... they're not gonna do more for Siren. MG (I think it was him or WM) said they loved Siren being an adversary for Felicity and Dinah, so sounds like she's there to move the new BC into owning that identity. Anyhow, I feel like Siren and eventually Dinah will both become wall paper, like they have in the past.

I wonder if they will finally bite and use him to direct.

Well arent the directors already set for this season? Also he should have a talk with Marc guggenheim first.

I've resigned myself to the fact that EBR will always be off somewhere because she's just not aggro enough (or at all)!

It's probably why I like her so much but sometimes I'm like "Damnit girl, shove someone and push in!"

Omg I love that CW stars clip and I love BR. He's so handsome and adorable!!!!! *mourns Raylicity yet one more time*

I read that on twitter. Also that Kevin Smith mocked the show. But I don't know. Someone will have to google it or something ha.

KS ran afoul of Felicity fans by liking a tweet that endorsed having Felicity's head in a box.  He claimed he was just liking the Seven movie reference but eventually got super defensive and said stuff about deciding to only direct for Flash, as if he was depriving the fandom out of revenge.  And I do remember that KS and MG worked together (or maybe it was KS and MG's wife?) and it didn't go well.

Weird.  I did a google to get MG's wife's name (Tara Butters) and Google now lists her as an ex-spouse.  It only matters to me since MG recently tied Olicity to the same song he danced to at his wedding so I don't want any negative vibes about his marriage spilling over.  I couldn't find any news item though about them breaking up so maybe it's an error?  Him married to one of the minds behind Agent Carter is one of the things I liked best about MG.

But the Kevin Smith connection I just remembered was him directing the pilot episode for Reaper.  (Which she was one of the creators and a producer of) The details escape me still.  Something about him wanting to do reshoots maybe?

I've seen Google randomly start labeling someone as an ex-spouse when I knew for sure the couple was still together before so I think it may just be a weird Google glitch.

Found the post about Smith and Reaper.  He posted this on reddit three years ago.  I'd take it with some salt.

But I don't think I'd be welcome in the world of ARROW. Someone Tweeted one of the producers of the show in Season 1 asking if I'd ever be involved in ARROW. Since @ThatKevinSmith was included in the question, I saw the very direct, no-bullshit response of "No." Could be because they think I suck (which lots of folks do). Could be more personal than that...

One of the producers of ARROW is married to one of the creators of REAPER. I directed the pilot for REAPER year ago, and while it went well enough to get picked up, the creators of the show didn't want me back for the series. At all. They did NOT like me, it turned out - even though they were always nice to my face. I was never told why they didn't like me, but years later I learned it was because I kept adding lines to the pilot script.

Now this whole situation bummed me out to no end because I was a huge REAPER-booster. After ducking the DGA for years, I finally joined JUST so I could direct REAPER. I offered to direct every episode if it went to series. I even turned my annual San Diego Comic Con panel in Hall H into an all-REAPER panel that year, putting the REAPER creators front and center. But apparently, it was adding lines to try to make a funnier show that fucked me. So when REAPER went to series, the closest I was allowed to the show I helped create and get picked up was a "consulting" credit (and the checks that came with it, to be fair). It was all so weird and high school.

The P.S. to that story? The creators fought for and chose an actress for the lead in the pilot that the network then wanted to swap out for Missy Peregrym. So rather than re-shoot the whole pilot, the network wanted to re-shot only the scenes featuring Missy's character. And since I was a DGA member, the production had to offer me the re-shoots first - while they were in pre-production on Episode 2.

This was akin to going to see your girlfriend with another guy, but rather than be a little dick about it, I went up and re-shot the scenes. It was mostly to say g'bye to the cast - the majority of whom had taken the job because of me, they'd said. During the shoot, we'd all talk about how

much fun it was gonna be when if went to series. So now that the parade was moving on without me, I at least wanted the cast to know that it wasn't my (or even the network's) decision.

I remember asking Tyler if he'd be free later that year to shoot on ZACK & MIRI MAKE A PORNO just as I saw the creators for the first time since San Diego CC. And instead of asking them why I wasn't invited back to the party, I gave them nothing but super-pleasant. I haven't seen either of them since.

It was just another typical Hollywood lesson: people can smile to your face while using you and your connections for all your worth. Then, when you no longer suit their agenda, fuck you, Fatty! Hit the bricks! It's my fault for assuming we were all in it together. I suffer from true-believerism: I honestly think that people are fundamentally honest and honorable. And every once in awhile, you run into some cats who are climbers and users, who'll say anything to your face to get what they want, then abandon you the moment they're in charge. I invested heavily in two people because I was happy they were getting their big break - particularly with a genre show. I thought we were a team, but I was just a means to an end. Not even my impression: I've not had it confirmed.

So no ARROW for me, it would seem. It's cool: when people don't invite you to their parties, it eventually forces you to start throwing parties of your own.

Why do I now think there was a lost bet involved in EBR wearing it?

It actually makes me believe she loves wearing ugly clothes and does so knowingly. Like a sort of sport or something. I almost imagine her going, Think I can't find anything worse than this. Just you wait. ?

How dare the producers of reaper not invite Kevin Smith back after he didn't follow their script and added things he wanted into it AND they still paid him extra money for doing things without consulting them.

He sounds like an arrogant ass tbh. Like even that a bit about how he single handily saved the Green Arrow.
