Deputy Deputy CoS August 1, 2015 Share August 1, 2015 Vanessa, Becky, and Jackie were picked for Veto, it seems. And I think James picked Vanessa? LOL what? Maybe he wants to force her hand if she wins it. Intentional or not, it was smart of him to. However it could go very wrong for him if Vanessa wins and decides to use it. Link to comment
Ceeg August 1, 2015 Share August 1, 2015 Austin told Clelli he thought James would pick him for HG choice. They're like why would he pick you?! Austin really is a putz. But why would James pick Vanessa, by that same logic? Link to comment

Austin really is a putz.James should have picked Austin, because he would never change the nominations. I'm guessing he picked Vanessa because she's won many competitions and is their best bet to beat Shelli and Clay. If it's the punishment one, Clay will win. I can't see the girls messing with their hair, and James said he won't shave it. But imagine Jackie/Vanessa, Clay/Vanessa, Shelli/Vanessa handcuffed together?! And if Clay wins and uses it on Shelli... call me a cynic, but I guess I just don't get true love. Edited August 1, 2015 by mooses Link to comment

Ceeg August 1, 2015 Share August 1, 2015 I think James picked Jackie, Vanessa was picked out right. Hmm. Idk because right when the feeds came on, Clay was going on and on to Shelli about how he doesn't trust anyone now except for Shelli, and Shelli said No she thinks Vanessa has a plan bc she winked at me. Which is why it seemed like James picked Vanessa, since Clay was ranting about not trusting Vanessa. 1 Link to comment

Village August 1, 2015 Share August 1, 2015 If James did pick Vanessa as HG's choice that might not be a bad thing. Vanessa has a lot to lose if she wins the veto. If she uses it one of her allies goes up, if she keeps it the same Clelli's furious with her for not saving one of them. And while James doesn't seem to be going after her she might want to secure her own safety and actually try to win it. This is all moot though if she throws it but the decision making isn't that bad, IMO. It's not like picking Meg would have made any difference. 6 Link to comment

Ceeg August 1, 2015 Share August 1, 2015 I think Vanessa realizes lines in the sand have been drawn. I believe her when she says she'll use it on Shelli. Because Vanessa is all about numbers, and if she can somehow convince (or at least put in her mind that she can convince) James to put up Becky or John, then her alliance will remain completely intact. Not to mention, if Vanessa saves Shelli, she and Shelli will become each other's #1. If Shelli leaves, Vanessa will be a 4th wheel with Austin and the Twins, and Clay will probably cut her off. 1 Link to comment
Donny Ketchum August 1, 2015 Share August 1, 2015 Turns out Jackie was picked via Houseguest's Choice by James, and then picked outright by either Shelli or Clay, who had to draw again. That was when either Becky or Vanessa got picked. 4 Link to comment
Cosmosgravitation August 1, 2015 Share August 1, 2015 (edited) I think, in a game like this, someone like Steve doesn't fit. He's not good at the social gameplay, which is the biggest part of the show. I agree with this completely, I don't think Steve should have been cast. Steve has said the same thing on the feeds. I would still be very surprised if Steve didn't have Asperger syndrome or at least some sort of auditory processing disorder. It's uncanny how closely he matches the Asperger symptoms - you can go down a checklist and he shows clear signs of pretty much every symptom. I had a friend that had it college and acted very closely to how Steve acts, so I know how rough it can be and that is probably where my sympathy for Steve comes from. Steve also talked about how regardless of what he does he's never going to be able to truly read social cues and there's also that big secret he had to tell Vanessa off the feeds. If he does have a disorder and the producers knew about it I think putting Steve in the house was a very cruel thing to do, even though he was obviously willing. Someone with his social problems should just not be in Big Brother. She knows what Becky is doing. She mentioned to James that she has a perfect target for the DE that they should all agree upon as a group. I'm guessing she's gonna propose Becky/John. I think she was talking to Jackie, not James. Or maybe she told them both. I actually think the target she was talking about might be Steve. She believes Jackie is closely aligned with Becky so I don't think she'd be suggesting her name to Jackie first. Everybody loves John, I don't think people would be on board for making a plan to evict him in DE at this point. It's true Steve isn't your normal DE target, but I think Vanessa could sell it as not having to live with a mopey and awkward Steve for a week. Clearly Vanessa genuinely likes and connects with Steve on a personal level, but in that house I think she's all about winning the game and everything else will always be secondary. I think she has become increasingly frustrated with Steve throwing HoH comps and being a liability socially. Steve could expose her game if he was on the block for a week, a DE eliminates that risk. She might even think Steve has no chance of surviving anyway since three quarters of the house hates him, and if he goes in a DE it would minimize his own suffering - like pulling off a band-aid quickly instead of slowly. She saw how miserable he was when he thought he was the target last week. If Steve did tell Vanessa he has Asperger syndrome, she also might not see him as quite the goat at F2 if he pulls off some HoH wins along the way. She might envision him announcing he has the disorder in his F2 speech and how he survived the season despite almost everyone hating him. But maybe she has figured out DE isn't next week and this is all a convoluted plan to keep Steve off the block for another week. If everyone agrees he's the DE target maybe people won't target him early. Besides, what are the chances that someone who wins the DE HoH will actually waste it on Steve even if they agreed to it ahead of time? A decent chance he/she will pick a bigger target in that moment anyway. Edited August 1, 2015 by Cosmosgravitation 1 Link to comment

And I don't think she minds going against James, but she'll need a reason - and since everyone knows her and Shelli are close, it wouldn't be too surprising. 1 Link to comment

Donny Ketchum August 1, 2015 Share August 1, 2015 (edited) I can't believe Vanessa's trying so hard to save the entire alliance. Instead, she should be figuring out how to make sure Clay is evicted so she still has Austin, Liz, Julia, and Shelli. She's going to fuck her game up with all of this ridiculous scheming for John to go on the block. If she keeps it up, Shelli's going to leave, and the Sixth Sense actually will be destroyed, leaving Vanessa pretty much all on her own. Edited August 1, 2015 by Donny Ketchum 5 Link to comment
blixie August 1, 2015 Share August 1, 2015 Yeah than V will be going all out to win, she "saves" Shelli, saves herself from renom, and I actually think she wants Clay gone, so she can throw him a vote to loolk loyal to Shelli while the rest of the house votes him out. Although best case scenario for her game though is for Jackie or James to win and keep the noms the same, than she can still save Shelli and be done with Clay. 2 Link to comment
Cutty August 1, 2015 Share August 1, 2015 The idea that James would ever put John up as a replacement is absurd. Just a terrible read. Vanessa is going to tank her own game if she keeps it up. Ceeg August 1, 2015 Share August 1, 2015 I actually kind of hope Clay wins it, because I want to watch him tank his own game, live. It will be amazing. I hope CBS plays the OTT Brenchel music, too. I don't think Vanessa really cares about exposing her allegiance to the rest of the house anyway, because she's convinced she has the numbers anyway. Which, is kind of true. She doesn't know what a rat Becky really is, but I think Becky would throw HOH. John is up in the air. But, no one in the Sixth Sense + Steve would put any of her alliance up. Eventually, everyone's allegiances get exposed. Vanessa's got exposed last week. She might not be on James' radar, but she's certainly on Jackie's. And that wouldn't change no matter what Vanessa does or doesn't do, should she win veto. 2 Link to comment

Kris117 August 1, 2015 Share August 1, 2015 Shelli winning no sympathy saying that you shouldn't evict couples before jury to Jackie. She is too much. …I can't wait to watch the show on Sunday. That ceremony is going to be so good. I can't wait, either. I had such fun watching Thursday's episode, even though I'd seen most everything leading up to the eviction. Seeing what was actually said during the nomination ceremony while knowing about the fallout it led to is going to be a treat. They are going to have a hard time editing all of this fallout down for Wednesday's show, though. Shelli said that couples shouldn't be evicted before the jury? I can't even. 5 Link to comment
Ceeg August 1, 2015 Share August 1, 2015 Shelli said that couples shouldn't be evicted before the jury? I can't even. LOL yes, she said it to Jackie's face. The same Shelli who evicted Jackie's partner, and the same Shelli who was 2 seconds away from evicting Austin last week. She also complained to Vanessa repeatedly about how awful it is that she's going to be away from Clay for 7 weeks. Vanessa was like ...........I've been with my girlfriend for 2 years, and I haven't seen her in 2 months. You just met this dude. My opinion of Shelli is so complex, though. Even though she's entitled and arrogant, I still don't hate her like I have other houseguests in the past. I like when Vanessa does reality checks for other HGs - although I wish someone had the ability to talk her down from the ledge occasionally. She did the same thing to Audrey before the live show and basically told her to get her act together. Vanessa just talked about her dilemma of whether to win the POV or to throw it in front of John in the bathroom just now. And took Becky aside to talk over her options. Is she doing this on purpose? ETA: Becky, of all people, was able to talk Vanessa down from her panic just now. Good job, Becky! But then said that Clay and Shelli are the cutest reality show couple ever. Gross, Becky. I think this scenario would be the safest bet the remaining member of Clelli walks out the door. There are four rock solid votes (Jackie, Austin, Meg and the other twin), to keep a twin around. They need only to sway Steve or Vanessa for a lock. I also think that if Becky and John see their current boat sinking, they'll jump ship with minimal enticement. Anyone else and it would be a free for all. 1 Link to comment

I just have a very bad feeling that if Shelli goes home, I could see Clay banding together with Johnny Mac and James, along with Becky and Meg fighting over who gets to be Britney in Brigade 3: Bigger, Longer and (Maybe) Uncut. For sadly, the bro alliance is never really dead -- it's just dormant. All season long, it lies in wait -- like the beast that lives under the American Idol seal. It feeds on the blood that doesn't get on your hands from the dickmatized women sacrificed to its cause. And nothing awakens the bro alliance like the booting of a powerful woman player. Katesus7 August 1, 2015 Share August 1, 2015 I've enjoyed reading about how Shelli and Clay's nomination has somehow become all about Vanessa, and Vanessa "hates" having to be in he middle of things, and hates having to deal with Veto, before she's even played in veto. Quite frankly, I would have told her to throw it and stfu already. The thing with Vanessa, I kind of agree with everyone's opinions about her. All 20. Because she IS extremely smart, and does think ten step ahead, and can give very reasonable, practical advice, but is very self-centered, and does have to vocalize very thought, and tries to be involved in every little thing, and on and on and on. I'll add one thing to it - she's a famewhore. Not even in a particularly bad way, but she really wants to be front and center in anything at all going on in this game, and I think part of the reason why is she wants to show off to America as to how good she is. Today's ranting and wailing about playing in the POV when I know damn well she wouldn't have it any other way is a prime example. Her loving to give dramatic speeches is another example. I still kind of like her, to be honest. She is very entertaining, she's smart, she's playing well, and she's driving almost everything. I just wish she wouldn't be so exhausinting about it, and so insistent that she has to be driving everything. 21 Link to comment

kellog010 August 1, 2015 Share August 1, 2015 The smart thing to me would be to keep noms the same and get rid of Clay. Except everyone has their own agenda so who even knows. I do believe, if Shelli stays and Clay goes that is the best for Vanessa's game. Shelli and Vanessa teamed up is a powerful twosome, they balance each other out. Shelli would be focused on the game and they work well together. A Shelli and Vanessa F2 would be ok with me. They've both played hard and did the work. 8 Link to comment
Ceeg August 1, 2015 Share August 1, 2015 For some reason, I just have a feeling that Shelli will stay. Even against Clay. I like James and Meg as people the most, but they haven't been terribly great as players. Becky and John are alright, too, but I personally never like the HGs playing the rat game (although it works ever season). As infuriating and annoying and off as she can be, Vanessa's fun to watch. I don't care if she spouts off about integrity while lying at the same time. And I really think she'll do whatever it takes to win and has the ability to be a few steps ahead in all circumstances. Her game can go up in smoke at any second if the power shifts don't go her way or she self sabotages, but appreciate what she's trying to do at least. She's gutsy, I'll give her that - the same reason I can't hate Shelli (but I hate Clelli or Shay or whatever they're called). It's just what I personally what I like as a viewer. I can understand how people can hate her, or like the HGs lying low and playing both sides, or just root for who they like as people. But I think if Vanessa would just choose her battles more carefully and calm down every once in a while, she'd have a lot more fans. ETA: I'm always curious how viewers choices line up with each season. Like do Jeff and Jordan fans usually like the same type of HGs season to season, and Dani Donato fans like the other type? Are Nerd Herd fans and Sovereign 6 fans always divided every year? Edited August 1, 2015 by mooses 3 Link to comment
