Lmao for real? I've seen various cast members on Instagram do tribute posts to friends whose weddings they couldn't make because they fell on Saturdays they were taping. I always chalked it up as a sacrifice you have to make if you want to be on the show, but I guess not for Poor Precious Pete.

I don't think there has ever been a cast member handled more delicately in all 45 years of SNL's existence than Pete. I get that there's a history of people going off the rails, and that Lorne doesn't want to see that happen again, but come on. Every single person who works there has bent over backwards to accommodate him. Cast members make fun of each other all the time: Kenan's been there too long, Alex and Mikey are indistinguishable, Kyle's stuff never gets on the air. If Pete is incapable of not taking it personally, and is not able to deal with the "cutthroat" nature of the show (what, is everybody just supposed to step aside on the off chance you deign to show up for an episode?) then, yeah, maybe he should go.

I get he has problems, and I can sympathize with that to a point. But he appears to think his mental health status gives him unlimited free passes and carte blanche to be an insufferable douchebag. He has brought nothing to this show except his hot mess of a personal life.

Aw man, imagine if he and Colin are gone for season 46? *chef's kiss*

Yeah. It was Will Ferrell's last episode.

It's a vicious cycle - he has struggles, makes headlines, makes comments, gets in the headlines, SNL has to do cleanup duty. They did again today, with John Mulaney devoting the promo to this:

Overall I do like Pete, and there have been many stories of the show being rough backstage, but the way the cast and crew were thrown under the bus this way kind of puts me off.

I think this episode would be the ideal time for him to leave, if Lorne will finally let it happen.

I see Pete Davidson has a standup special on Netflix.  Has anyone seen it or liked it?  He doesn't strike me as someone who has that much depth, that he would be able to carry a standup special on his own.

I saw it. It was a bit meandering and he tends to giggle too much but he had some  good bits.  It is a work in progress.  Not a bad waste of an hour or so but I wouldn't watch it again (like I will John Mulaney or Daniel Sloss)

Norm in quarantine - talking with Chevy Chase over the phone.

Seth Meyers and Jimmy Fallon have been uploading at home videos as well.

Fallon, Will Ferrell, Kristen Wiig, and a number of SNL hosts were in the...um...much talked about "Imagine" video that came out last week.

Heidi, Ego, Melissa, Bowen, and Chloe, among others in the current cast, have been entertaining fans on their social media pages. Heidi and Ego, with other guests, will be having a special on SNL's Instagram tonight at 8 PM Eastern.

Chloe also recently "got married" on her Instagram.

Seth had interviews with Tracy Morgan, Amy Poehler and Fred Armisen this past week. I'll just link to one to save space.

Jimmy with Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrell.

He also had an interview this week talking with Timberlake about their SNL years.

Hello Possibilities. I Think There Have ONLY Been FOUR Women Anchors On Week End Update ! Jane Curtain, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler And Cecily Strong ! Jody

Hello Maverick. I Think Billy Crystal Also Did That ! I Don't Know IF IT Was The First Show, But IT Was Very Early That He Was On And Got Fired OR Maybe He Never Happened To Get On The Air ! I Don't Know IF They Thought He Was NOT Funny OR They Ran Out OF Time ! Later, He Came On With Martin Short And Christopher Guest ! He Had His Most Famous Character And He Was MARVELOUS ! Jody

Hello Chrome Kelly. I Think Michalea Had That Bitching Please BIT So Maybe That Was Why She Got Fired ! Jody

I Don't Agree With That Ranking AT All ! They Thought Kyle Was So Good On Good Neighbors And Then They Said Beck Was On Bizarre Skits With Kyle ! Beck Should Be Ahead OF Kyle ! Taran Should Be Ahead OF Che ! Taran Should Have Been Remembered For Jebedia! Che Is NOT The Best Anchor Since Amy ! Pete Can't Help How Old He Is ! He Shouldn't Be Known For That ! He Should Be Known For Week End Update And Being Chad ! Kenan Should Be Higher Even IF He Has Been There A Long Time !

I don't know what happened this week.

Is it possible that Jimmy was on Howard Stern's show in June 2020 and Jimmy told about his mother and how she said they don't talk enough in May 2020 OR Did those things happen in May and June 2018 ?

The kids were the best part. They were adorable, and hit all their marks. Looks like Seth might have at least one little actor on his hands.

I felt Seth's apprehension when they were describing the sketch that they were piling on Betty White a bit much in her not wanting to do it. I was thinking the same thing.

I agree the kids were the best part. Mike was alright but Betty or Will Ferrell probably would have been better; Jason as always added some everyday sleazy charm. The awkwardness around not wanting to be negative about Betty was palpable, and understandable. Having her in any sketch about killing an animal (even a unicorn...) was a rocky road; it's a credit to her she went ahead with the sketch anyway.

(there are also two videos where Jason and Mike talk with Seth)

Another recent Jason interview:

One of the "at home" editions of the show featured a sketch with/about Bad Bunny. I can't remember which episode it was, but at the time I had no idea who BB is. This article answers that question, and I thought it might be helpful to others who saw that episode and, like me, had no idea who he is. I'm posting it here because I don't remember which of the episodes the sketch appeared in:

It was the cooking show with Big Papi in the second at home.
