Did not see that coming.  So sad.  Parker will be a different man going forward.  

Rebecca De Mornay can barely move her mouth — she is so botoxed.  She was painful to look at.  Her sleazy, flirty character reminds in a very bad way of L&O: Criminal Intent’s nemesis, Olivia D’Abo / Nicole vs Vincent / Bobby.  I loathed how that character was played and I’m having flashbacks tonight from the cheese ball flirting done by Rebecca’s character and how the actress plays Carla.

Yes, I feel bad for Parker.  But as soon as Carla let him go, saying what she said, I had a bad feeling where it was going.  Had Parker thought about it, he'd have figured it out and perhaps gotten security for his father.

I was hoping we'd resolve his mom's death/unknown little girl but heck no, TPTB decided to drag that into next season.

And of course LaRoche took credit.

Well that was a shocking season ending.  I really hope that it doesn't turn out that Parker was Carla's dead son's father.  These shows seem to love going in THAT direction (NCIS NOLA anyone?).

I didn't see the episode about Parker's mother.  Did they explain how she died in that one?  Did Parker's father have anything to do with it?

I figured Dad was DOA as soon as she mentioned her son at Parker's house.

I didn't even recognize her in the flashback.  I saw her name in the guest star list right before her scene and was shocked.  The storyline does remind me of Nicole vs Goren on CI...of course that was a nod to Moriarty vs Sherlock.

I mostly enjoyed this episode the big drawback was that stupid jump shot that Fez did at the hotel.

I've been a Gary Cole fan since American Gothic so it was nice to see him flex his acting muscles in the last scene.

Well until when Carla told the story of her son's death and accused Parker of it.  Then it was a given his dad would be killed.  

Last 20 minutes was just waiting around until a very obtuse Parker could figure out that was why he was still left alive,  But no, he was all "whatevers" have no idea why she didn't kill me.  Let's do other stuff for hours and forget I have a loved one around that Carla came over and checked out earlier."

Boy they write this character Parker dumb as anything.

Something about the mother walked out for "reasons" (drunk, fight, I forget) and promptly got in a car accident and died and the little blonde girl (pre ghost days) saw it and something something yadda yadda.  Oh hell, who really cares.  

This whole storyline is totally ridiculous.  Like I'm sure the fact the little girl is blonde and Carla is blonde will be a "thing" too.

They keep trying to make this Parker character "interesting" and unique with everything from donuts to ghosts to plant lover to mysteries of the past guy.  The actor just presents too nice an image on screen to be this weird and strange.  But they keep making this character so over the top that he makes Gibbs look totally normal in comparison.

Little girl is going to be Carla and turns out they're siblings! Dun dun dun 😁

Could well be.  I was thinking that as one scenario.  Had to do with mother's death certificate. Did she have Carla by another man maybe.  She and Parker are half-siblings? 

Were the "there is something between these two" comments by the other cast anvils not for romantic tension but for blood relations connection instead?

I'd put this as the leading theory so far anyway.  🤷‍♂️

And if so will Parker have to shoot his half-sibling to save someone else like Ziva with Ari?  

(God, I miss Ziva.  The new Ziva and Tony sequel show looks far more interesting and exciting and downright FUN than this show.  And the great chemistry was back immediately too.  Wish it would be on CBS next fall instead because a lot of us can't afford endless streaming services).

Agree on cheese ball Carla. I wonder if that bit would have worked in the 1980s, or 2003 when NCIS started. Her bit is making NCIS a dated show.

Parker be dumb. Maybe he thought Carla kept him alive for their next sexual rendezvous :huge eyeroll: Gary Cole has a hard edge to his eyes, has played a lot of baddies, so I wouldn't say he presents a nice image on screen.

In the near future, I expect NCIS to be given a final half-season. But not yet next fall apparently.

I had to FF through Rebecca DeMornay's scenes. That breathy femme fatale act was awful.

Holy Botox, that’s Rebecca DeMornay? I was wondering why she looked so familiar. I didn’t see that twist coming, but once she threatened Parker I knew his father was a goner. How sad! Wonder if Parker’s mom is still alive.

I hope they don’t spend too much time next season with Parker trying to find Carla and get his revenge, and that it’s wrapped up within the first few episodes.

I saw it coming from the moment she showed up at Parker's place and got on so well with Parker Sr.  And while it was sad, it was definitely not the major character death some outlets were hyping.  Me, I was hoping it would be Kasie.

If I'm being honest, I didn't pay proper attention to the scene when she was at Parker's place because Rebecca and the character irritated me SO much -- I hated her look and how she was playing the character as a femme fatale from the 80s.  So I clearly missed a key clue to what might be forthcoming for Parker and his poor dad.  I would not have minded one bit if it was Kasie.

I was hoping it was Torres. When he did that flying leap thing with guns blazing, I thought maybe he got shot. Alas, I can’t have nice things. 😝

as for Parker’s dad, I knew as soon as Carla said it would be too easy to kill Parker, that she would kill his dad. I just expected her to say it before knocking out Parker. Have to admit I felt bad for the poor TV when he smashed it. I may have actually said ‘what did that TV do to you?’ 🤣

They would really have to do a much of explaining if that was so because she was suppose to have died in the car wreck.  The wreck the BLONDE little girl saw so if that is Carla ... oh, hell, who cares.

And yes it was tragic the TV had to die just because the father did.  It wasn't the TV's fault.

I wonder if TPTB have actually figured out what Jimmy found suspicious about the death certificate or if they'll pull something out of their arse next season. 

Of course, they'll probably drag it out for half the season because Jimmy won't want to bring it up so soon after the father's death, so that'll give them more time to come up with something.

I know this is not the right place to ask this, but I'm not sure where/how to get an answer to a technical question about the NCIS forums. (I have tried reading the help screens.)  I have NCIS on my "Your Shows" index for indication of new posts, but have no interest in the other branches of the series, such as Origins, Tony and Ziva, etc.  I have to go into each of these subs to mark them as read, as they don't have their own follow option.  Is there a setting to follow only the flagship?

I wouldn't have objected to that either.  I was just chanting "Not McGee, Jimmy or Parker" under my breath for most of the episode.

Poor tv.  It never did anything to anyone. 🥹
