My favorite book when I was nine was Caddie Woodlawn, about a little girl who lived in mid-1800s Wisconsin and didn't want to grow up to be a 'lady'. One of her aunts told her she didn't have to, she could become a 'woman' instead. I loved that and made that my goal in life. Anyway, Caddie was a nickname for Caroline in that book.

Just to be clear, the crazy stupid women on this series are neither 'ladies' or 'women' by my standards. 'Toddlers', maybe.

Anyway, I think it's females like these that make men like Julius. Smug, entitled men, batting their pretty eyelashes when told they are handsome and just smiling and saying 'I know'. These females throw themselves at these complete losers and stroke their egos (and other parts) and fight other women for the dubious honor of declaring these dolts 'my man'. I don't know how it's come to this. These awful men never seem to have any problem finding some idiot to fawn all over them and claim possession. As a woman I find it embarrassing. As a viewer I find it fascinating. Just keep these people away from me and on my TV only.

How's everyone's week been? Last night my son, houseguest and I went to see Book of Mormon and it was great. We had dinner at a Cajun/creole place in the theater district and ended up having a nightcap at a local spot here in Salem, where I got to meet a lot of my son's friends (received many hugs and shrieks of "THIS IS YOUR MOM OMIGOD I LOVE YOUR SON HE IS THE BEST) and watched him tear up the floor at karaoke. A splendid time was had by all.
