Zoe was not a surprise at all.  And yeah it's looking good for Anora first film of the night to snag a second statue.  I still think Brady Corbet might win director for the Brutalist but maybe this is Sean's as well.

Zoe Saldana is truly The One, because she just slo-mo dodge all of the Emilia Perez hate and controversial bullets like Keanu and wins the Oscar!

Love her overall, so I won't complain, but I actually think I preferred Ariana Grande and even Monica Barbaro, which I never would have predicted.  But I'm happy for her and she's clearly thrilled.

Not invested in this at all since the Sing Sing song was the only one I really liked, but I guess El Mal was the most enjoyable song from Emilia Perez.  Granted, I'm not sure if it was mainly because of the song itself or because Zoe dine on it and left no crumbs.

One of these days Diane Warren will either win finally or have a crash out to end all crash outs.

One of my favorite parts about the "back of the theater" awards is that there's almost always someone screaming their lungs out when the winner is announced.

My least favorite is that the GTFO music gives no grace compared to the big categories.

There was some speculation that the Academy as a whole wouldn't vote for "No Other Land" knowing that the acceptance speech would be highly political. I'm glad they didn't vote that way.
