The thought of going mattress shopping (which I need to do….my mattress needs to be replaced) makes me shudder. And trying out a bed with no clean sheet on it in the showroom sends me into a panic.

I finally broke down and bought a new mattress that I am not crazy about. I don't roll around in my sleep and it has a memory foam topper so I stay in one groove and I get hot. But it's practically impossible to find a mattress that doesn't have some kind of foam top layer. Sigh, I still get a full seven hours of sleep, but I wish I could have found an exact replacement of my old mattress.

DeShaun Davis, Age 28, From Omaha, NE. Lives with his mother. Sibling Diamond, is a caretaker for him. Diamond seems very sensible talking about him. His legs look painful, and maybe infected.

Those two huge breakfast plates look good, unfortunately it's enough to feed an entire family for a full day. Pancakes, syrup, biscuits, eggs, and more.

Bullied and fought with stepdad as a kid. Mother Willa was on drugs. Sent to a juvenile facility.

He has to be over 600 lbs, and his mother isn't much smaller.

Another one who has sister do the shopping, and tells her what to get by phone call. He hasn't left the house in three years according to his mother.

This man is a waste of time for Dr. Now and the people trying to help DeShaun.

The dietician and physical therapist are very helpful, but he's a lost cause.

I bought a new mattress a few years ago and I love it so much. Its a twelve inch memory foam mattress and it is like sleeping on a cloud and I am a blissful harp strumming angel.

I was looking at Saatva...kinda pricey but they have good reviews. My current mattress has a layer of memory foam and I'm not crazy about it. But it's also really old.

Why would anyone want to quit baking bread? I gave away my bread machine many years ago because I wasn’t using it and now that I’m a shut-in, I regret that I gave it away.

I used to bake bread every week, but I was eating slabs of toast dripping with butter every day and it made me fat. Well, fatter. Quit baking/eating bread and lost weight. So that's one reason. The nutritionist would be proud.

I have a 10" latex foam mattress, Jamison brand.   It's not hot.    I love it.

DeShaun's sister needs to leave and not look back.   DeShaun and Mom making faces about the asparagus is irritating.

Can you find a hybrid style? That's what we got for houseguest. She doesn't like memory foam either.

I found a woman on YT who has an air fryer channel. She makes different breads, as well as the usual AF stuff. I've been making her ciabatta. It's so easy - easier than my bread machine, which is intimidating. You might take a look and see if it's something you'd like to do.

3 AF breads

Do we know how old the sister is? He's the oldest (of four, I think he said) and mom said he was five when she had the next one, so she's not more than 23. She needs to get out of that house. She's worrying about cooking for them and also "keeping up with the house"...sounds like she's the only one who really does the cleaning and stuff, too.
