Amy says she's unsteady because of her eyesight, so she tries high heels with a tiny heel width? The boots are a better idea. It's sad to see how painful Tammy's walking looks, instead of skin removal consults, see an orthopedic surgeon about the weight she needs to be for a successful joint replacement. I'm not a medical person, but I bet her leg joints are very damaged, and painful. During the golf cart scenes, they were going fast in the close ups, but going a sensible speed in the long shots. I bet they sped up the close ups for drama. A family of grown people don't have to spend Christmas or any holidays together. Amy needs to start her own traditions with the boys. So, Tammy is moving into the grandson's room? That would tick me off in Brittany's place too. Especially since Tammy has been tossed out by every family member that supported her. I think Amanda's six month guess on how long Tammy will be leacheing off of Brittany and Chris was optimistic. Edited Thursday at 09:01 PM by CrazyInAlabama 4 1 Link to comment
ButterQueen Wednesday at 05:38 AM Share Wednesday at 05:38 AM Tammy is such a whiny baby. Was she paying rent to Amanda? Chris is a good brother. Poor Brittany! How can Tammy not afford another dump to rent? She has TLC money. 9 1 Link to comment
SunnyBeBe Wednesday at 09:35 AM Share Wednesday at 09:35 AM I don’t know how much they make being on this TLC show, but I can’t imagine it would be very much, especially for this show. I suspect the big shows that are very popular like Sister Wives might have paid pretty well at one time, but not now. 1000 Sisters always looked low budget to me. But, maybe the cast makes money from their own online projects. Tammy has never developed normal adult skills of being self sufficient. They all seem to struggle with conflict resolution. I was surprised that Amanda is in a romantic relationship. 3 1 Link to comment
Pi237 Wednesday at 01:44 PM Share Wednesday at 01:44 PM Its always sweet to see little kids with Santa. Amy's got her hands full with two rambunctious, defiant boys, but I've known many like that..they slowly grow out of it. Takes a while tho. Best thing she can do is get them into some kind of sport with lots of running-soccer, track, even karate would be great. They'll need an outlet for all that energy. Plus, it'll help stave off the family predisposition for obesity. Amanda is really feeling herself this season. I have no doubt she's sick of Tammys neediness, but I feel like her defensiveness was pre-planned. That she was looking for Any excuse to move on from the family and go with her new man. When that goes south, she'll be back. I don't blame Brittany for being annoyed about Tammy moving into her crowded house. Lmao at her face while saying, 'welcome to your new Temporary home' She looked like she wanted to vomit. However, once the decision is made and you've accepted it, you shouldn't be so obvious with your disgust at her for moving in. I thought that was mean. If you agreed to welcome her in, then welcome her. No way that yellow house is ready in 3 weeks unless Chris hires a crew. The should be thanking God for Chris. I don't like how he dismisses his wife, but he's doing everything to get Tammy self-sufficient, and is always upbeat about their events etc. I'm sure theyre producer drjven, but if it weren't for his enthusiasm what would we watch? The rest are like sad sacks sitting in chairs, staring at the walls. 3 1 1 Link to comment
Mahamid Frauded Me Wednesday at 03:36 PM Share Wednesday at 03:36 PM I would be pissed if I were Brittney. Her house seems super small as well and then to add the pity party of Tammy on top of it can't be easy. I almost bet that Chris and Brittney got the house next door for Brittney's daughter and kids. I thought the daughter only had 1 kid, but when Tammy came in, there looked to be an infant next to Brittney. 6 2 Link to comment

Tammy- "I'll figure it out, I always do". Shenanigans! You've figured out nothing. Chris and Amanda have done everything for you for years. Amy, I had 2 boys close together. We always had a Christmas tree (or more than one) as did all my mom friends. You teach your kids "Look with your eyes." They'll learn if you're consistent. Or get a small tree for your bedroom or on a table. You're just lazy AF. 7 2 Link to comment

Also, why she was pointing out things about the house the wouldn't work for Tammy. 2 1 Link to comment
KBrownie Wednesday at 09:41 PM Share Wednesday at 09:41 PM Brittney is past done with Tammy and good for her. And good for Amanda for making an attempt to separate herself a little from the dysfunctional dynamics with her siblings. Yeah, it might not work out, but at least she’s trying to do something different. Chris and Amy acting like she was wrong for *gasp* not being with the family on Christmas was ridiculous. But back to Brittney, Amy talked about SHE had once lived with Chris and Brittney and that she and Brittney didn’t get along, so Brittney must be beyond tired of having to deal with the overgrown babies that are Amy and Tammy. Chris guilted Brittney before about how he would do the same for her family, but I would bet he’s never had to deal with her family like she has to his. Everyone has their limits. Both Amy and Tammy continue to be completely delusional. Amy talking about not liking how Brittney would come behind her and clean what she already cleaned? Yeah, we’ve seen what you think clean is Amy. Brittney was likely absolutely correct to go behind you. And then Tammy wistfully bemoans that she wanted to bring Caleb back to Amanda’s house and start a family with him. Really Tammy? In a house that wasn’t yours? That you probably weren’t even paying rent for? So entitled and so stupid. 6 1 Link to comment
CrazyInAlabama Thursday at 08:07 AM Author Share Thursday at 08:07 AM I think part of what Brittany didn't like about Tammy moving in is that she's going to be expected to do everything for Tammy, and also, judging from the decorations in the room, it was the grandchild's room. I bet that house next door was for the daughter and grandchild, not Tammy who takes everything, and never even says thank you. 8 1 Link to comment

Shelbie Thursday at 04:07 PM Share Thursday at 04:07 PM I think Tammy is absolutely furious that the rest of the family isn’t catering to her anymore. They are beginning to treat her as an able functional person who is expected to drive herself around and behave as an adult. They are doing the right thing and I think they want to get back to their own lives as they should. If they all spent less time around each other they would be less argumentative and irritated. 4 3 Link to comment

If they really were one big, happy family, they wouldn't have to keep saying so. I think the older siblings provided temporary housing and some transportation, but it was out of obligation rather than being close-knit. We never saw all this togetherness or references to siblings until the second season, i.e., after the TLC checks proved legit. Until the show, I doubt there were all those family barbeques, restaurant dinners, vacations, and back-and-forth visits. 6 1 Link to comment

Surely she's making money off of the show where she can rent something? Chris says there's no rentals, but that's for her to work out. He believes his abandoned house is better than her moving a bit out of their county? Sister or not, there's no way I would move Tammy back into my place. When everyone in the family has tried to accommodate Tammy, only to have her complain, demand, and expect while not showing any appreciation. And sorry Chris, "blood" does NOT have to spend holidays together. I have 4 children and when they have mates, every holiday is a compromise. 6 2 Link to comment

I can't imagine she enjoys always having to swoop in to help support Amy and Tammy. And yet, I still haven't heard either of them comment on Amanda's progress with her knee/leg. 4 Link to comment

Rentals are in short supply and wildly expensive everywhere now, including no doubt Podunk, KY, where they live. Tammy can't "walk to shopping"; come on. Her lower joints are obviously shot. I'm sure she's probably on disability, as is Amy, and was paying Amanda with Section 8 money, as I'm sure she'll pay Chris, which is probably more than they would have gotten from their adult daughter. My impression is that Tammy is more than ready to become independent as soon as possible. I give her kudos for what she's achieved so far and think the farther away she gets from her undermining, scapegoating, dysfunctional family, the better off she'll be. I'd like to see her move to a subsidized apartment in a larger city with a public transit system; I'd watch that spin-off! As for Amanda, I thought it was odd that she'd gone to visit the BF "several times," but he (presumably) had never reciprocated; it didn't sound equitable. I also think she was the driving force behind Amy getting divorced, which I'm personally not convinced was necessary or the best move for any of them. Control freak!
