YOU shut them out and you gave up on them! You cannot really convey love via texts if you never bother to visit nearby kids in person. As others often say, his narcissistic behavior makes it impossible to take any responsibility for his failures. He was right about one thing, that he abandoned Ysabel during her surgery.
