dizzyd August 13 Share August 13 I can see all the podcasts going to town on Sam tomorrow. Shame he was an ass because he was really good eye candy. 😔 2 Link to comment

dizzyd August 13 Share August 13 Does this phone call to mom mean that Spencer, who’s name I didn’t know at the beginning of this episode, is auditioning for the next Bach? 3 Link to comment

JenE4 August 13 Author Share August 13 I thought she said Thomthum. I was like who the hell is Thomthum?!? Aw, Grant, you don’t actually love this person. But I am surprised Jeremy got the rose over Grant. Who’s this one crying to Mommy?!?! How embarrassing. I don’t think he’s ever spoken on screen and then a full 2 minutes crying ho his mommy. Yikes. 1 2 Link to comment

Madding crowd August 13 Share August 13 I didn’t like Sam from the beginning but I thought both he and Jenn were talking gibberish. I think it became clear to her that he came on the show expecting someone else and she was scrambling to find a way to keep him. Not to defend Sam because I don’t like him, but it hard to define every characteristic of someone in terms of why you like them. 4 Link to comment

Madding crowd August 13 Share August 13 I get that and like I said he was talking a word salad. But Jenn was desperate to keep him and wanted a list of what makes her selfless, what makes her lovable etc. and they barely know each other. 4 Link to comment

tennisgurl August 13 Share August 13 I knew from pretty much day 1 that Sam was a toxic asshole, but WOW that was hard to watch. He just flat out admitted that he thought the Bachelorette was going to be someone else and that Jenn wasn't really his type? How did he think he could get past that? Just grabbing Jenn and sticking his tongue in her mouth wasn't going to save him, no matter how much Jenn wanted to keep him based on her attraction to him. I am so glad that she finally caught onto how fake and overly intense he is, it really did feel like he was just reading off of cue cards he memorized before he came on the show. She must be pissed at wasting that first impression rose on him, she really seemed attached to him until even she couldn't avoid what a fake he was. I cant believe its time for home towns already, I feel like I still don't know most of these guys besides Devin and Sam because of their drama. I didn't even know Jeremys name until they went on that date, which is too bad because he seems like a nice guy and he and Jenn seemed to have nice vibes. I really appreciate that they had an honest talk about their respective cultures and religions, the couples on this show really need to have those kinds of real talk more often instead of during their fantasy suit night or after the show is over. 9 1 2 Link to comment
Hip-to-be-Square August 14 Share August 14 Sam was saying shitty rom-com quotes to Jen the whole time. How was he ever engaged?! I think that Jen was the most sexually/physically attracted to him. Bring on the hometowns- I want crying moms, tense dads, and siblings who doubt the lead is "the one"! 8 Link to comment

He really was, you can tell that his line of bullshit usually works after just a handful of stale cliches and he literally could not think of anything beyond that. She must be pissed at wasting that first impression rose on him, she really seemed attached to him until even she couldn't avoid what a fake he was. the tongue jamming moment was SO screamingly awkward. the way he panicked as his words were failing and defaulted to attempting to distract her from his inability to hold a conversation. It's a testament to what an absolute dud this season is that they couldn't even make this Sam blow-up interesting. There's just no build to the season, it started off with Devin seeming like a villain, then that storyline faded away, Sam and Tomas were dicks and then Tomas was gone and now Sam is gone, no 2-1 drama or any real moments. The awkward Seattle date reminded me of the lame Covid-era dates inside the the LaQuinta Inn, two people with little personality trying their hardest to make it seem fun but nobody's buying it. I also don't think Jenn took the Bachelorette training to heart, she doesn't seem to know how to phrase things to give the impression that real relationships are forming. Saying "I see a future with all of them" sounds unfocused and ridiculous, yes we're supposed to buy into this silly premise of someone happening to meet their soulmate in a group of people they didn't choose in a very manufactured setting, but usually at this point, there are at least 1 or 2 seemingly somewhat genuine connections. Half the guys here were nameless until this episode and I don't see a frontrunner except for Devin and that's only because he does the heavy lifting, which means you could slot any girl in there and the "relationship" would probably look exactly the same. 2 6 Link to comment

Yeah, just blurt out whatever random lonely thought comes into your head. I have never heard Jonathon pronounced that way. Also, would Sam have really been into Daisy? I don't know that she would be "hot" enough for him and more importantly, I think Daisy would have seen through his BS pretty quickly. She and Joey had a good connection because Joey was actually a good guy and they genuinely hit it off, but I don't think Daisy would have fallen for the stream of cliches that Sam was putting out there. I feel like a lot was left out of the story of Sam's departure. I know that it's since come out that he had to leave before the end of filming to officiate his sister's wedding, was that why his bags were already packed before she went to let him go? And why was she storming through the hotel? I wonder if she heard through the grapevine that he was planning to leave and that's what made her so desperate to find him right then and then they just frankensteined a story together to make it look like Jenn saw through him all of the sudden. 4 2 Link to comment

Adeejay August 15 Share August 15 I have a feeling Sam was a goner when he didn’t come to Jen’s aid at the building jump in New Zealand. She was petrified and he didn’t seem to care. Not to mention telling her that he thought The Bachelorette would have been either Daisy or Maria. I feel sorry for the recipient of her final rose, because there’s no doubt that Sam was the one that she wanted. 5 Link to comment

Speaking of that date, I couldn't help noticing how Jenn's lipstick came and went and came back again. I know they do multiple takes and sometimes have to go back and reshoot something for a pick-up or whatever reason, but continuity errors seem to be the norm with reality shows, e.g., on Secrets of Playboy, Holly Madison's nails sometimes went from red to green multiple times during an episode, and on Brooke Hogan's short-lived show back in the day I remember an instance of her makeup waxing and waning over the course of her (purportedly) making a phone call. Still, sloppy editing irritates me. 2 1 Link to comment
halkatla August 20 Share August 20 I never thought Jeremy had a chance until this date when they were talking about the jewish-buddist babies... I could see the sparkle of love in Jenn´s eyes right there, similar to what happened when Sean and Catherine had their snow date and it was instanty clear that she would be his F1. I´m known for having an almost 99% success rate for predicting who get´s sent home and who wins the bachelor/ette so I´m kind of wondering if Jeremy could be the F1? It makes no sense but I´m still leaning towards it being him. I really like Marcus and think he would be a fine bachelor, but if I could choose the winner in this season I really want it to be him because they fit so well together. I always skip over sob stories, I though his was already done but I see here that he had another one about him and his sister... He is such a sweet and pretty man, and obviously has done his duty and been through a lot. I stopped thinking Sam was hot during his 1 on 1 date when he pressured Jenn and was acting like a toxic ass. It literally made him look ugly to me. 1 Link to comment
