Cedric is doing one-on-ones today. With his zero amount of power left this week. Okay.

Leah is quickly shooting up my rankings with this convo with Cam. We love a queen setting boundaries and not falling for bullshit.

Tucker: "But at least I kick-started the game because otherwise it would have been another redundant week. This is what we came here for."
Tucker earlier today: "Cruise control, brah. I just wanna cruise control it."

According to Tucker and Brooklyn, Tucker (also?) called Cedric a little bitch boy. It may just be a different version of the same insult.

I hope Tucker is booted this Thursday. How mind-bogglingly stupid do you have to be to use your Veto on someone else and leave yourself on the block?

The other dumb thing was Tucker's apparent belief that he's in charge of Cedric and could order him to do his bidding.

These two things are why I don't want Tucker to leave. He and Angela are bringing the chaos!

Do people in the house not like Leah? I've only seen her on the show so far, but I more or less like her but I'm getting a vibe, I think?

Leah is using flirtation as her game strategy with the boys and being a girlie with the girlies. Quinn follows her around like a lovestruck puppy dog even though she's let him down. Cam follows her around like a lovestruck puppy dog but she definitely has the ick now. She flirts with Tucker and he fucking hates her for it but he may have calmed down some over the past few days. Some people don't like her because she talks about liking "fluffier" men and tells Tucker that he needs to eat more for her to be into him. She tells some pretty cringe stories and sometimes feels a little Not Like Other Girls. T'Kor, Chelsie, and Brooklyn like to talk shit about her in between their Bible studies. The house is kinda 50/50 over her.

So basically she'd be okay if she'd just dial it back a bit, cut out some behavior. Not irredeemably unliked. i wish the women would stop shit talking each other, but that's a general want, really. I get why it'd maybe annoy them but I just want sisters to be doing it for themselves, you know?

Cedric is saying he wants America to put him on the block and it's being explained to him that he can't be and I just.

Also, will whoever is chomping on something like a cow chews cud please cut it out? My misophonia can't take it.

Wait what?! I thought they were working together. He just stupidly saved her and she just told Cedric to make up with Tucker and that he should have listened to Tucker and put Quinn up, so why are Tucker and Angela fighting?

So looks like the whole house now knows about Quinn’s power and he’s trying to do damage control.

Angela seems one of those types who fights with everyone sooner or later. She and her 90-Day Fiancé namesake aren't entirely dissimilar.

I will say that Quinn is putting a pretty brave, smiling face on all of this.  Except for his brief freak-out at Angela, which I'm REALLY pissed I barely got to see.  Poor Cedric is running around like a wounded puppy.

Is there a 24h voting period between Wednesday’s and Thursday’s episodes? We’re all voting for Quinn right to flush that power? Although if he wins AI or the house keeps him, it will be moot but we can try and it would be good to give us the power to nullify his.

Nah, I want to see Tucker win HOH and Quinn take over his HOH.  I'm sure it will be someone not really shown on the show, or someone annoying to the casual viewers. Which...could be Quinn.

This was my favorite part, topped off by Angela using her best Disappointed Mom voice. "This would have been so good for your resume! It was such a great plan, and it was just HANDED to you!" and Cedric hanging his head and moaning "I know, I know". I mean, if you need Angela to coach you on game moves, that's saying something.

My second favorite part was Rubina and Tucker sharing a long hug, followed by the friend-zoning. He said that outside the game, he could see something happening, but inside the game he thinks of her like a sister. "Your SISTER?" gulped Rubina's shocked face as she realized Tucker was never going to choo-choo-choose her.

I also kind of loved the Leah/Cam spat, although it was too long and too repetitive to be very enjoyable. He seemed to think that saying the same thing over and over would make her give in eventually, but the more she stood her ground the more she gained my respect.

The best thing about any power isn't specifically when it gets used, it's the potential for the absolute shitstorm its mere existence brings.

Thank you, Tucker and Cedric, for ensuring that shitstorm occurred 🤌

Tucker is sure he knows who America will pick, based on the underhanded way they're playing the game. I didn't catch the name, but I think  he whispered "Leah" to Quinn. So that's what he's banking on.

Tucker and Quinn have bro'd it out and are all good. They're both such good competitors, they can't help but have mad respect for each other. Bro. Tucker is ready to get this game started. He just wants to play the game, you know.

Question: Has this ever been done before? Someone keeping themselves on the block while taking another player down?

While it's not quite the same thing, Marcellus in BB3 infamously kept himself on the block so that no one else in his alliance would be nominated (and because he felt he was a shoo-in to beat the person he was on the block against) and he was voted out.

Julie famously tore into him (all good naturedly, of course) for his stupid move when she interviewed him after he was voted out.

Cedric thinks Cam needs to dump Leah. Low key, in front of everyone. Cam agrees with that. She doesn't trust him anyway. Besides, it was never really a thing. People saw them flirting once and made assumptions.

They agree, there will be no more deception. Everything will be played above board now, and may the best competitor win. No throwing comps, either. Those days are OVER.

I wouldn't trust Cam either after he gave Leah the game equivalent of the "She meant nothing to me, baby! She was no one! You're the one I love!" defense with a side of "I never lied... except for this one time where I was forced to lie but that's not my fault and it meant nothing anyway so I never lied."

It was pretty weaksauce.

I’m guessing he learned his moves at his G-rated, totally family-friendly video store.

Confirmation that they are still taping goodbye messages, even if we don’t get to see them. Joseph was worrying that maybe America hates him because he was “too mean” in his message to Matt. (Something about how he was so amazingly bad at the game.)

He and Cam are both worried, but not really because a pact has been made that the nominee will be safe. But still… they think it will be someone who hasn’t really done anything, like Leah. (Or Joseph or Cam? I add.)

Tucker is positive that if Quinn goes up, he will be voted out. He is also positive that he will win AI comp, and that he is the sole reason the game is finally underway. If he goes home he will be fine with it because he will have stayed true to himself, but he won’t go because he is just. that. awesome.

They showed all the goodbye messages for both Matt and Lisa in extended interviews with Julie--I think I found it on youtube, selected for me by the algorithm (which is sad for me, I know). I thought Joseph's message to Matt was...deserved.

I looked up what an intelligence analyst does in the Marines, and it sounds like it could be anything from basic file clerk duties to maintaining equipment to creating reports and disseminating information. So basically, support services for those who do the actual intelligence work.  Which sounds about right for Cedric, as he also seems to be intelligence-adjacent.

Tucker, to his sister Rubina: Cedric should have communicated better. Why wouldn't I save myself if I knew? He wasn't clear enough. Also, I'm the only one who is playing to win. I'm the only one making moves.

Tucker thinks Cedric is dumb. Rubina thinks he's just young. Tucker can't relate to that, because he's always been an old soul. He's been on his own since he was 16, sleeping on other people's couches. (Not sure that qualifies as "on your own", but whatever.)

Tucker started out amusing, then moved to cocky. Now he is firmly in insufferable territory, and I don't know where he can go from here, other than out the door. Even Rubina sounds impatient with him.

Rubina and Chelsie: If it comes down to Tucker and Kenney, they’d prefer to keep Tucker. He’s emotional, but at least you always know where you stand with him. Also, Kenney has made no secret of coming after most of the women.

Tucker to Chelsie: Now he’s convinced that there was another plan all along, and he was blindsided on purpose. Cam, Cedric and Kenney have something going on, and it doesn’t involve him. He needs to win HoH next week. He doesn’t even care if Quinn takes it over, as long as he gets to see a picture of his dog.

Confrontation between Tucker and Cedric, as Chelsie and Cam look on. Tucker accuses Cedric of having a preconceived plan to blindside him. Cedric denies, and insists he told Tucker to use the veto. There's some "did not!" "did too!" back and forth, ending with Tucker yelling at Cedric that he's coming for him, DAWG, motherfucker, you're my number one target now!

After Cedric leaves, Cam claims ignorance about the whole thing. Tucker insists that the plan was carefully worked out: Cedric was supposed to act surprised, then nom Quinn because who else? This was a total blindside!  And Kenney was clearly in on it.

Chelsie, Cam (and now Mak) nod like it all makes sense. Cam happily shovels more dirt onto Kenney.

I love that Tucker always guesses wrong.  He and Angela have made this season fun so far.

I also love the "I want an easy HOH" Cedric has blown it at so many levels.  Cedric, how did you think Mac-whoever wouldn't use her power to take herself down.  She is not Tucker, dim wit.  You are a total idiot.

Again I want Tucker to stay because it doesn't matter to me if he is right or wrong or crazy as a loon; he makes for great TV and blows up the "Icky poo, no blood on my hands" crowd that always make BB dull as dirt season after season.

In the back yard, Cedric vents his frustration to Brooklyn and Quinn. He was just trying to be chill about the whole thing, and Tucker made it personal! Leah, Angela and Joseph listen in the background. Cedric is yelling. I told him to take himself off!

Quinn and Joseph give him a hug. Quinn pledges his loyalty. Angela says to let things cool down, then talk to him again. Cedric just doesn't want his integrity questioned. But in the end, it is what it is.

Quinn, who had gone inside, comes running back out, fanning something in his hands. "ANTS!!! There are ants everywhere!" Of course there are. The ants enjoy Fun Feeds, too.

Cedric says he wants to call a meeting tonight. He just wants to know if they are all still rocking.

Quinn doesn't think Makensey is rocking with him. But he is definitely rocking with Cedric. He's going to use his power next week, and  he's fine with getting smoke on his hands.

T'Kor and Chelsie are fine with Cedric. They also want to stay on Tucker's good side while he's around, but they don't expect him to be for long. Right now, they just want Kenney out, because he lied about being a part of the Quinn plan, and he's also targeting the women. They don't trust him at all.  They're also finding Cam to be a bit sketchy.

From what I can tell, nobody seems to be mad at Quinn.

While washing dishes in the kitchen, Rubina:

  1. Sloshes soapy water onto herself.
  2. Reflexively replies, “Shit! Fuck!”
  3. After about a half-second beat, looks sheepishly at the camera over her and says, “Language, sorry.”
  4. Turns back to the dishes and says (to herself, I think, but out loud) “Damn, bitch.”

Okay.  So I do have to note that Tucker was indeed wrong in that exchange with Cedric.  I think that sleep deprivation and the one-hundred conversations that he's had today are fucking up his memory.

Cedric did tell Tucker to use the Veto on himself, and Tucker even relayed this to Cam about twenty minutes after Cedric told Tucker this.

But what Cedric is lying about (and probably why Tucker is mad, because he can't articulate himself):

1. He never told Tucker that he was reneging on the Quinn nomination and putting up Makensy.
2. He did make an alliance with Kenney and Tucker and is pretending like he knew nothing about the Quinn plan to others in the house.
3. Cedric did not adequately fill Cam in on all that happened in this Quinn plan, probably because it somewhat implicates him.

So Cedric is just digging himself a bigger hole not only with Tucker, but with several of the other houseguests.

Confrontation is contagious today, apparently. Now it's Brooklyn vs. Kenney. She wants to know why he was going around saying there's a women's alliance, and why she was painted as the leader, when she never even wanted such a thing. She also finds it demeaning when a group of women can't ever be seen talking in a group without being accused of scheming.

Kenney denies ever saying such a thing. He says he heard mention of an alliance and maybe made a comment, but not to acknowledge its existence. He doesn't know about alliances, he doesn't even talk game. With anyone. Early on, he chose to get close to just a limited number of people, so if he had to put someone on the block it wouldn't be someone he was close to. He's shocked, SHOCKED that Brooklyn thinks this of him. He wishes she had come to him sooner.

Meanwhile, Chelsie, Cedric and Cam are kneeling in the backyard, ears against the glass, eavesdropping and whispering to the others what they hear.

Brooklyn and Kenney end their discussion with no yelling, no name calling, just a hug and a promise of no hard feelings. Aw, they're no fun. Even the ants look disappointed.

For anyone wondering where the glitter went, it's in Brooklyn's locker. She didn't want it, but Lisa insisted she take it. Brooklyn will give it back on finale night. Angela suggests they all wear it for the finale. "Absolutely not," Brooklyn says.
