Well that was as stupid as I expected. Garrick is a horn dog who has convinced his idiot wife/ex wife to green light him he-whoring around. Her elevator ain’t making it to the top, so she believes that god is talking to him in the garage. Turns out he’s just out there watching porn. 

So the one guy with the bisexual wife is dying and is apparently helping her find her new girlfriend? I mean, if she wasn’t a horrible person, she’d bite the bullet, tell him she just wants him, and then move on after he’s gone. (Sorry for the vagueness: terrible with names).

Garrick is just as repulsively gross as he was with Roberta.  Nathalia acts like she's just playing a part in this train wreck.  I hope she found some reason to not actually have sex with that loser.  🤮

I found parts of this episode particularly disturbing, specifically regarding the two Da(n)nielles.  Watching double-n Dannielle's charade that she's an enthusiastic participant in this pretense is like watching someone kiss the hand of her abuser.  It's sick.  

Single-n Danielle is of even more concern.  I think it was in the previews where the Nick cohort is in a hot tub with the newest victim, and Danielle looks so upset, trying so hard to stifle her feelings.  I truly believe this girl needs an intervention.  Isn't there someone in her life who sees what's going on?  She's very young and very inexperienced, and the Nicks know it, and are completely taking advantage of it. I feel that it needs to be stopped by someone, and if nobody else comes to her rescue, then the producers.  She may be of legal age, but she clearly lacks the maturity and confidence to advocate for herself.

I feel terrible for her! The stuff they're pulling with her is cult shit. "Promise me you'll never do that again!" The love bombing, the ganging up on her, then working her over one on one. It's sick. She does NOT want to "find another wife"! The original recipe women are married to each other, and they'll want Danielle to marry the new wife. I'm cool with what consenting adults do in their private lives, but polyamory is tricky at the best of times, with people who embrace the concept fully. Danielle doesn't. She is desperately uncomfortable and its glaringly obvious. Someone needs to deprogram her, stat.

Sadly, I think she has no one to advocate for her, which is how she ended up in this "family" to begin with.  The other sad thing is that how helpful are any of the families?  First Dannielle's family is not at all, nor are most of the ones we see here - they're all so afraid of being "judgmental" that they won't intervene or speak truth.  The muslim mom is the first person I remember on this show to say "This is wrong and if you do it I'm out!"  And other than the two Danielles, who are obviously in over their heads with wackos, the other families are all on my "this is fake" radar - how hard is it to pretend to seek a sister wife, walk away with no one and the TLC cash!

I think it actually was Portuguese.  I went back to look just now.  He seems to have said Voce casar comigo. 

 

Casar is also the verb for marry in Spanish.  

Conmigo means with me in Spanish. 

Voce seems to mean you in Portuguese.

So he seems to have said "You marry with me" like a cave man.  

 

Which would be no surprise.

I speak Spanish and my BIL is from Brazil and his family speaks Portuguese - some things sound very familiar and some not at all!  But I've noticed that Garrick talks into the translator the same way he would talk to someone who doesn't understand a lot of English 😂
