jenrising December 26, 2023 Share December 26, 2023 Quote Neagley and Dixon discover shocking information about an old friend in Denver. Reacher and O’Donnell learn more about the nefarious and mysterious A.M.. Available 12/29 on Prime Video Link to comment
thuganomics85 December 29, 2023 Share December 29, 2023 Reacher should actually be a little happy that those assassins caused a shootout at the funeral, because had it not been for them, everyone would have been talking about that big jerk who was yelling at a detective in front of all of the mourners. Social awareness is not Reacher's strong suit, to put it mildly. More evidence is piling on that Swan might be dirty, which just makes me continue to think he'll end up actually being innocent somehow. Maybe he's being forced to it. Or blackmailed. Just feels like a shoe is being ready to drop on that front. Got some good old "Hey, it's the Canadian guy!" casting here, with Noam Jenkins as the slimy congressman and Sean Baek (Fancy!) as the main truck heist guy. Okay, yes, Lick Creek is weird, but I'm sure Europe has it's own cities/towns with weird names, so lay off, A.M.! 2 Link to comment

Keeping with the sports references I'm pretty sure that was French Lick, the hometown of Basketball Hall of Famer Larry Bird 4 1 Link to comment
Tachi Rocinante December 29, 2023 Share December 29, 2023 Two rifles with decent cover against four pistols in a fairly open cemetery. They should all be dead. I also think Swan is being held captive. 5 Link to comment

I think he might be dead and someone just said they were Swan in case the hired shooters were caught. My mouth did drop when the building blew up, I thought the guy was going to die, just not like that. How did Neagley and Dixon get into the trunk of that car? "You do not mess with...teamsters". Made me laugh. I'm glad the cop is not dirty. Thanks to Larry Bird, I instantly knew dude was in Indiana, lol. Link to comment

I think the heavy levels of evidence against Swan in this episode are pretty much proof positive that he's completely innocent of any wrongdoing. But we will see... The exploding building which killed the second shooter was always going to happen, right? Also, I'm surprised the congressman's (senator's?) aide escaped that monkey-pit encounter with his face intact. 1 Link to comment

I had the same thought, I'm now thinking he was deep undercover and got caught. I'm 50/50 on him being dead...like can't they just have us thumb and eyeball on ice...maybe that's more fictional than realistic. I'm loving Russo, the show does a good job of bringing on antagonistic cops that end up working with Reacher. Russo is the total opposite of Finely and yet both are awesome. 2 Link to comment

Chicago Redshirt December 30, 2023 Share December 30, 2023 What is Russo doing thinking that he can hand Reacher a beatdown, though? Putting aside the facts that Reacher has at least a half-foot and like 50 pounds of muscle on him, combat training, and doesn't have a badge or anything or anybody to answer to, Russo has to know that Reacher has killed a lot of people. It strikes me as ridiculous that Russo would be like "One of these days, Reacher, right in the kisser!" So could it be that no one actually close to Reacher is a traitor? Reacher did say that Russo has a rat in his house, which means by genre rules Russo's immediate boss is that rat, rather than some character we haven't been introduced to. But I would say that there has to be an actual betrayer who has a more direct connection to Reacher since lieutenant who Reacher has never met doesn't count as treachery. I agree that the show having all this incriminating evidence against Swan means that Swan is actually innocent. I think now that we've seen O'Donnell's rugrats and wife, he is likely innocent too. There is no chance Neagley or Dixon could be crooked. Maybe one of the feds that Reacher and O'Donnell met with in this episode? 5 Link to comment

Maybe he has a plate in his head, or Homer's jaw, or he's a master of Brazilian jiu-jitsu. 🤣 One well placed kick to Reacher's knee and he'll go down. It won't happen anyway. Link to comment
Ottis January 2 Share January 2 (edited) That was bad. The least professional hitters ever. They seemed like moonlighting college students. And taking out Reacher at a public funeral in NY? OK, so they said the bad guys were desperate, but that was amateur hour. Also, does Reacher’s voice and demeanor seem more sophisticated in a suit? As for Russo, he is a NY cop, and illogically belligerent about being manly is part of that trope. Edited January 2 by Ottis 2 Link to comment

Thank you! i knew i recognized him, and he didn't really look like Swan (unless his entire face/head changed shape). I think the gun-hitmen were given Swan's name because Langston wants to screw with Reacher's head. I still think Swan is dead (or being held somewhere to take the fall). Was the building going to blow up even if the hitman completed the mission? or was someone always tying up lose ends? Link to comment
hurrrz January 9 Share January 9 This show has a few contrivances. Like they saw A.M. has never been photographed. But didn't he fly with some of these aliases? I'd think that there are cameras galore at airports and upon checkin there'd be a time stamp on when he was there that could be used to get a picture of him. Once you have that, you can probably run it through other databases at this point. 3 Link to comment

Also, I'm pretty sure he chose the plastic surgeon because they look rather alike (so that he could use the doctor's driver's license). So that gives them a starting point as well. Link to comment
hurrrz January 9 Share January 9 Well they probably won't connect the dots that this random surgeon was killed by A.W. But knowing this show Reacher will probably just happen to see a tv report and is "instinct" will tell him that's what is going on. Link to comment

It didn't seem like they would have enough time to back up the car while the baddies were shooting and still manage to slide back there w/o getting shot up. Just gotta go with it till the time when one of them has to die, which I'm betting Dixon winds up dying with Neagley possibly being the double-agent. Link to comment
