LadyChaos September 30, 2022 Share September 30, 2022 CSI: VEGAS season two kicks off with the return of Catherine Willows (Marg Helgenberger) as she persuades Maxine Roby to let her rejoin the esteemed CSI team in Las Vegas. The CSIs investigate the murder of a dominatrix found near her secret sex dungeon. Link to comment
LadyChaos September 30, 2022 Author Share September 30, 2022 Honestly the only thing I care about, is Grace Wong. Everything else is....meh. 1 1 Link to comment
milkyaqua September 30, 2022 Share September 30, 2022 Nice to see Catherine and that Jay Lee has been added to the cast/credits full-time. I'm also interested in the Grace Wong mystery. I see Allie is as annoying as ever (stick to work and stop focusing on Josh). Also, still don't care about workplace romance. I'm okay with the new lady detective but not interested in any possible back and forth. I think Miss Detective would be better off avoiding the nonsense that is Allie and Josh. The COTW was okay. 1 2 Link to comment

Poohpoohpooh September 30, 2022 Share September 30, 2022 Wow that was a good episode. Interesting enough case (victim being killed had nothing to do with her being a dominatrix). The "yapper" shrink was so suspicious. Intriguing reason to bring Catherine back with the "Grace Wong" mystery. Much more interesting than I imagined from what tv guide said about "Catherine's dad casino". New CSI Beau (clearly the smart comic relief) is interesting and funny, imo. CSI has always had a much more expensive and fancy " production value"/ cinematography than NCIS. This episode was fancily shot. 1 4 Link to comment
Lady Jane September 30, 2022 Share September 30, 2022 I found myself VERY disappointed that we had a dominatrix case, and NOBODY mentioned the OG Lady Heather! Like, "Damn, who'd have thought we'd have SO MANY dominatrix cases!?" Even if Katherine was the only one still there who worked those cases, it would have been totally natural for her to say, "OOF. We had a whole bunch of dominatrix-adjacent cases a while ago . . . " 5 3 Link to comment

That would have been DELICIOUS and such a treat for old school fans! Kathleen Wilhoite (Yapper) has been a H!ITG (Hey! It's that guy/gal!) forever. Looking at her IMDB she's been on virtually every television show ever. Maybe she'll be recurring, having something to do with Grace? 1 Link to comment
janeta October 1, 2022 Share October 1, 2022 I don’t care about the workplace romance crap either. Just find out whodunnit. 3 Link to comment
LadyChaos October 1, 2022 Author Share October 1, 2022 Im also kind of miffed there was no mention of the SK at the end of s1....unless this is the same person who made this guy hear voices?...I don't remember his name. Link to comment
emma675 October 1, 2022 Share October 1, 2022 Something confused me. Did they ever explain the massive blood stain that had the victim's old and new blood? Maybe I missed it. I'm not thrilled about the potential for a Serena/Josh/Allie triangle. I don't give a flip about workplace romances, just show me the cases. I did laugh that both Sara and Grissom, and now Catherine, have all sucked up to Folsom to get access to the lab to solve a case that was important to them personally. It seems like Catherine will be looking into a big cover up at the Eclipse this season. I also wonder if they'll continue that Sqweegel-esque killer that they teased in the finale last year? 1 Link to comment
Snazzy Daisy October 1, 2022 Share October 1, 2022 (edited) Beau is a great addition to the team, an interesting character. I can’t believe they still make Allie pining for Josh. Come on! It’s petty. It’s annoying. 😤 Take that sexual tension out and focus on making Josh/Allie/Chris/Beau/Penny a dream team. For how long the show wants to depend on OG team members for rating. 🙄 The COTW feels like an afterthought. When they found out the case isn’t about BDSM but MK-Ultra, does anyone look further into Dr. Sarkisian? Or is he dead? Someone should be looking into other kids that he abused, get to the bottom of it. Hope Grace’s murder + Eclipse’s coverup can be an interesting arc unlike the Hodges/Wix case, that was a letdown. She said that the man who did it died of cancer, and the domme showing her his obituary was one of the few times she saw the domme smile. 17 hours ago, SnazzyDaisy said: The COTW feels like an afterthought. Anyone else get that vibe? 1 Link to comment

Msample October 2, 2022 Share October 2, 2022 In between the first season and this season I watched several seasons of OG CSI . This new version is a shadow of the original IMO. Absent are some of the dry/quirky humor. They wisely didn't focus too much on the personal lives of the characters whereas this new version they expect us to give a rats ass about two BLAND characters dancing around each other ? 4 Link to comment

None of the new people* are captivating enough for me to want to tune-in every week and the writing isn’t nearly as good as it used to be. *Maxine is interesting and as long as we don’t get a bunch of crap with her son, I’m curious to learn more about her. Looks like I’m alone in this, but the episode seemed very disjointed to me. Almost as if different people wrote the first half and others wrote the second half. The new detective can leave at any time as far as I’m concerned(she’s new this season, right?). Whether it’s the actress or an acting choice, she comes across as very cold and wooden. Hopefully things get better as the season goes on otherwise I’ll stick to re-watching old episodes(Ion Mystery airs old eps on Mon afternoons). juliet73 October 13, 2022 Share October 13, 2022 Glad Catherine is back. She and Maxine are the only ones I can tolerate at this point. Josh would be okay if Allie was non existent. Speaking of Allie, that woman NEVER blinks! I can't concentrate on anything else when she is on the screen because I keep waiting for her to blink and it rarely happens. Runningwild October 13, 2022 Share October 13, 2022 I was disappointed Gil and Sara weren’t returning. Not that excited about Willows returning. I don’t care about their personal lives. But, I enjoyed the COTW. Good story. Link to comment
Ceindreadh December 31, 2022 Share December 31, 2022 If they were so keen to figure out where all the furniture went in the dungeon, why didn't they just ask the guys they were getting DNA from to give them a quick description? At worst it would have given them a starting point, and if the actual killer had omitted the piece that he'd burned, it might have thrown a bit of suspicion his way. Apart from that, I was disappointed that Gil and Sara weren't back, even more disappointed that Catherine did come back, but I did mostly like the new characters from last season, so I'll probably stick with it. (although if TPTB are making a point of having a different original character showing up each season, I'm voting for Nick to be in season 3!) 1 Link to comment
