Loved Sophia sticking up for herself and dumping him. She is such a great character and I love her self respect. She is far too good for Tate though, and now I worry they will go the obvious route and either make her evil or pregnant or both.

Yup and yup! I hope she isn't about to be wrecked.

Brady and Ava need to find things to talk about other than his teen son's sex life, but I really like their vibe...

I was thinking he should check into Bayview, because it's just one crazy older woman after another with him. Guy is a glutton for punishment. And it isn't entertaining anymore.

I miss Eileen as Susan. She had a brain then.

I agree and I prefer Stacy as Susan over Kristen because despite Susan's antics she seems like an actual human being to me.

True...if she's doing anything on this show it should be popping up as Susan occasionally.

Sofia is so much better than Holly, Sofia deserves better than Tate.  Let him go be with the one who wanted him to do drugs, let him be arrested and suffer for a crime he didn't do and went after his father.

Sophia lied and schemed to get with Tate.  In a way, she's not much better than Holly.

I’d feel bad for Sofia if she hadn’t been trying to steal Tate from the beginning, showing up at the cabin in her underwear, blackmailing Holly to take her shifts but she’d get the paycheck, taunting Holly that she could satisfy Tate in ways that Holly can’t, etc. Sophia has been too hateful for me to feel bad for.

Funniest moment?  Joy calling Johnny "the best" before segueing into him calling himself "the worst."

Surprised that they had Leo and Javi go at it already, even if offscreen.  Don't romances have to build up to these things?

Johnny has the wrong people influencing him.  First Joy, and now E.J., both urging him to stay quiet.  But it's further confirmed that, yes, he and Joy had sex.

I'm betting on a bitter Hattie sending the mysterious cupcakes.

So Body and Soul's been on for fifty-nine years.  Same as this show.  Hmm. . . .

Ah, so James Reynolds does the voiceover for the show.

Anyone else notice James eating that cupcake. His hand was shaking and Jackee covered it with her own hand looking concerned. Not scripted. Her character may be obnoxious but IRL she is probably a caring person with her castmates.

I read online someone was at Day of Days and mentioned that when he tried to give an autograph his hand was shaking. I admit I definitely suspect this is an ongoing issue with him.

That may have been me. He personalized a card for me and apologized for the shaky signature. I hope he is OK. It was actually really moving to meet both him and Josh right next to him. They have both been on the show as long as I've been watching

It might have been here now that you mention it. They are both up there in age especially Josh who’s 80

I guess not if a love interest is conceived as a reward for a pet character..?

So glad I'm skipping it. Practice self-care people!

While not wholly into the Body and Soul storyline, I am kind of intrigued by wondering whom this Lady Whistleblower copycat is.

Also wondering who's making everybody sick.

I don't think that Javi is the culprit.  Too obvious, and too easy.

I wonder why Alex took so long to get sick?

All these tainted baked goods stories Ron is writing I'm surprised nobody referenced JJ's Pot Donuts in all of this(well they were Alice's but JJ added that special ingredient)

Sounds like I may never see enough of Javi to form an opinion, sort of a shame since I liked what I saw in the scenes where he enteracted with Gabi and Rafe.

But if he's mostly going to be featured in scenes about his relationship with Leo or anything to do with B and S, then he'll be passing by me like a fart in a wind storm since I ff any and all scenes involving B and S and Leo.

It happens. My sister in law has hands that constantly shake, but is otherwise healthy. I believe it is hereditary.

This is NOT a spoiler, but there are rumors floating around the internet that it might be the nurse who believed she was married to Abe. Whitley?

Others are saying Hattie, but that might be too obvious.

Whitley would make a ton of sense actually, since it was her torture of Abe that exposed him to Body & Soul in the first place. She was the one completely obsessed with the show and I could easily see her being triggered by her victim choosing to film it in the same hospital she worked at.

...it still wouldn't justify the way so many characters were twisted to participate in this willingly, but at least there'd be a decent ending? Maybe?

I FF B&S but what happened to Whitley?  didn't she go to jail?   and who eats a piece of food delivered to your house unsigned?

Whitley went to Bayview for keeping Abe hostage and forcing Body and Soul into his brain, but not to jail. She was actually kind of sad, thinking he was her dead husband. She didn't hurt him or kill anybody.

So in theory she could be out and punishing everybody for making her show into a travesty. Can we send cupcakes to Ron?

The latter part had nothing to do with why she went to Bayview.  Just the former part.  That, and trying to kill Lani when she found out and tried to save Abe.

The episode I got today had no commercial breaks. The scene would fade to black for a few seconds and then the next scene would appear....Hmmm

Peacock occasionally delivers commercial-free episodes.  But it's often random in terms of when the app will do so.

So Leo and Javi are over before they begin?  Javi, believe me.  You're better off.

Leo, you confronted Javi the wrong way.  Should've just asked him gently if he'd stolen your storyline spoilers.  Doing it the way that you did pretty much ensured that he'd dump you.

Cat had a surprisingly good idea.  And relieved that Chad and J.J. are easing up on her at least a little bit, probably because she's showing that she genuinely wants to help.  But based on their scenes, I bet that J.J. is going to ask Gabi to be co-decoys with him.

Now that I think of it, Hattie is too easy for the poisoned cupcakes.  I wonder if is the rumored person?

I LOVE that! I've experienced it only about five times since Days was moved to Peacock, so when it happens, it's a real treat :)

Whitley pretended to be Paulina when Abe had amnesia she didn't believe she was married to him. However I think you're right that it's her because she has motive and it's her forte as a nurse. Also

Spoiler

Not to mention there's a spoiler that we're going to see Kim Coles again that was revealed months ago but we don't know why we see her again this might be it.

I think JJ was a character that started out fine when he first showed up then they eventually tamed him too much and had no clue what to do with him afterwards.  Of course he's a Horton male so they aren't allowed to be morally grey or be a focal point compared to Horton women. See Shawn, Will etc

Then again I feel that way about a lot of other characters on this show that have no real direction. That being said I still like him because he seems like an actual human being and not a cartoon like most characters on Days.

Only the vets that have been on the show for at least 20-30 years are more interesting to me because they were developed better even though they aren't that great now compared to their heyday.

I would say of the characters below 50 Xander/Sarah at least have life to them because there was an investment there compared to other characters on this show where they all seem interchangeable.

I don't think anyone on the younger cast stands out. I think Days and soaps in general dropped the ball not passing the torch to the next generation. The Last Blast crew should've carried the show forward instead they relied on aging vets and didn't care about the future of this show.

Lucas is another Horton male they won’t write for, unless it’s to assassinate his character by kidnapping Sami.

I am also bitter about that. Considering how expensive AS supposedly is, she and Lucas could have been married and living off-camera with him popping up now and again. Instead we have...this.

Honestly Mike, JJ and Lucas have all been left dangling in the wind.

Has Nancy mentioned if she's still dating Mike in her recent return? (hopefully not)

Different strokes. I love Casey Moss, always have.  Can't explain why, exactly, but even in the worst of storylines, he always seemed like an actual human being and not just a plot point.

I sorta love how we all see things differently.

I thought it sucked that he was given the lead for a teen scene but then for some odd reason, Eve, Jennifer, and Dan played WAY more of a part of it than they should have.

Really good show after three duds in a row.

I really enjoyed Xander and Brady today. So much history, mostly bad, between them, and Xander's apology was very needed. I hope now that we can see these two have a better relationship, something I have been hoping for since they had those wonderful scenes after Victor's death.

Holly and Tate are pointless, and he still looks every bit his real age. Sophia was the only thing that made him interesting, and now she is making Aaron interesting. I imagine he will pretend to be her baby daddy when she is inevitably pregnant in a month or so.

Ava mocking Kristen was fantastic. Finally, Brady has somehow managed to glom on to a woman who will not be intimidated by her. Wonder how Ava will fare against Rachel though?

Xander and Sarah were very sweet in that first scene. I've missed them having moments together. And she felt Maggie throw a water bottle on her leg! I hope this is the start of the end of the paralysis story and we can move on to Philip vs Xander, which I feel will be highly entertaining stuff.

Are they even keeping Philip around long enough to make an actual storyline out of it?

No spoilers, but I assume he's just going to disappear in 5 episodes or something and is a temporary obstacle for Xarah.

He really should be a regular again.

I don't get why Ava is so invested in Sophia.  She's not her daughter.

That said, her not backing down from Kristen was marvelous.  If any woman were to get together with Brady at this point, I would love it to be Ava.

Tate and Holly really are back together and mostly happy.  Meanwhile, it looks like they're finally starting the buildup of Aaron and Sophia.  But I'm a bit surprised that Sophia is only just finding out about Mark and Cat.  Weren't they in the news?

I wouldn't count on any change in relationship, @brisbydog.  Just because Xander apologized this time, it doesn't change the many things for which he still hasn't apologized.  And he didn't apologize for the even bigger thing that he attempted.  He didn't just blame him for Sarah's condition.  He attempted something so much worse and didn't say a word about it.

Sarah getting feeling back in her legs, though?  I'm here for that.  I guess her regained mobility is close behind.

Mike is another Horton male they don't care for. Which is wild since his paternity story carried Days for years. Then after that they seemed to have no clue what to do with the character(except when he was paired with Carrie but even that didn't last). Although I admit I didn't care about the character nearly as much after Michael T Weiss left the role.

Yes, that also happened, because she knew that she was about to get caught.  So she was going to kill Abe and herself.

The absolute funniest scenes this show has ever done!

I'm in the love JJ camp. Actually, he delivered another one of the funniest lines I've ever heard on this show....he was on the phone with Theresa and they were arguing about something and when she hung up on him, JJ yells "Hello?? SKANK?!?" It caught me so off guard in the most hilarious way possible.

Is Vivian gone again already? Louise Sorel came back for a few episodes just for Viv to be hauled off to jail again?

I'm not sure I'm understanding the decoy Cat and Chad plan. Clyde knows what the two of them look like. Is he or his minions just going to wait until the hotel confirms a Mr. and Mrs. Chad DiMera have cheked in before coming for Cat? I would assume Clyde's spies will be on the lookout, so decoys wouldn't work. I'm probably overthinking.

I think Tate/Holly had potential when Jamie Martin Mann was Tate. After he left I didn’t care about the character as much. They should have changed course with the recast and pair him with Sophia. They could have Holly go for an older guy much to Grandma Maggie’s dismay

They didn't even show her leaving the hospital, either on the lam or in handcuffs. It's plain disrespectful. She's a veteran same as the regular cast and deserves to have her storylines wrapped up, thank you very much.

I agree. Holly - appropriately, given her sudden age jump - still seems pretty immature, whereas Sophia is acting like a vampy college girl. I definitely see her and Tate as a better match now, at least maturity-wise. Holly seems much younger than them.

I know he made the right choice for his education and all, but I really wish JMM had stayed for a full year. He had a great innocent, nice guy vibe and it wasn't a put-on.
