Phyllis is supposedly doing community service for killing Whats-his-nuts (not sure about any conspiracy charges), but it's happening off-screen like everything else of interest.  Or maybe she thinks paying her debt to society involves paying her tab at Society.

Community service?  What a joke.  If I'm Diane, I would have filed a civil lawsuit against Phyllis.  There's a whole slew of tort actions there.  Defamation/slander, intentional infliction of emotional distress, maybe false imprisonment, etc.  How is it that Jack and Diane didn't pursue this further?

Absolutely, especially since Harrison's biological mother isn't dead and to our knowledge has not relinquished her parental rights. I think this whole thing with Summer going hysterical over "my son" is part of the Emmy bait TPTB are creating for AL. None of it works if everyone isn't pretending Summer's actually Harrison's mommy. They've even got Victor propping the lie now.

I have no doubt she is going for the Emmy, and she will probably get it, which is a joke.  If anyone on this show gets a Supporting Actress Emmy out of this set of storylines, it should be Beth Maitland.  But her role on this show is a calm and supportive voice of reason.  It's not flashy or showy, and it's a shame that Emmy always rewards flashy and showy over subtle and nuanced.

I guess no one ever told the wanna be femme fatale akà Phyllis that most men are not attracted to bitter nagging hags. In her 50's? She should have that figured out. Chelsea "me, me, me-ing" about Connor reveals her narcissistic personality hasn't changed at all. I guess poisoning Ray, faking being an invalid in a wheelchair, a rooftop suicidal gesture, inpatient psychiatric treatment, and the new sibling reveal shouldn't have traumatized Connor. IMO, they're lucky OCD is the only problem he's manifested. Today's episode with Chelsea panicking to 1st Adam then Billy, and Phyllis barging in with her kid's former employers, was as good a show as any about two mothers who only see their kids as extension of their own egos, in addition to lacking any boundaries.

My guess is that AL played the part exactly as she was directed to and what the script called for, so my blame shouldn't be with the actress who was just following direction, but with the writers for having the character churn herself into a frenzy that the viewers can't accept - the character of Summer is not Harrison's mother, she is his now former stepmother, and while the viewers could accept her expressing anguish over his kidnapping, the writers have written her as being completely out of control over it, which makes the character come across like a childish attention-seeking psycho, the complete opposite of  a sympathetic character.

That's what I felt too. It was not that the actress was acting bad but the way the writers wanted to portray her.

If I were Diane I think I would've had enough and bitch slapped Nikki today. What time was it supposed to the be, like 9 AM?  And was Nikki drunk driving all night? Why is Count Orlok unaware of her whereabouts?

If Jack is not an alcoholic but is a recovering pill addict, is he qualified to be Nikkei sponsor? I would think though they may intersect, there are differences in the 2 addictions that he can't address.  In any event, he is not helping much. He's too soft. For gods sake someone please put her in rehab.  Sorry if I sound heartless but I would be fed up with her. My father was hard core alcoholic and at a certain point your sympathy disappears and you get pissed off.  Today's show was that point for me.

I agree on all of this. I wanted to comment how obnoxious Nikki was to go bother Jack in light of all he had to deal with. She didn't know about Ashley but she did see her and could realize it was more than being under the weather, that should have given her a clue to leave right away but she didn't. LOL I would have wanted to see Diane do that and LOL Count Orlok.

I agree he should not be qualified to be her sponsor and she should have gone to rehab a while ago.

Didn’t Victoria read Claire/Eve the riot act about venturing out on her own again without security?  If Claire/Eve took a ride share to the Abbott house, why not question the driver?  In addition, Claire/Eve was just going to drop the charm off and leave but Kyle asked her to stay. So did she tell the ride share to leave. Why isn’t that on the security video?

Nikki, you went for a drive and found a bar open all night. Nikki, I hate to tell you WI bars have to close by law at 2:00am. Also, if you drove to Jack’s house, you were driving under the influence. Another WTF, security allowed Nikki to leave without notifying Victor?

Why isn’t anyone giving Claire/Eve the benefit of the doubt?  Why can’t anyone think that Claire/Eve was taken also?  Finally, how would anyone know that Claire/Eve was in contact with Auntie Jordan to coordinate Harrison’s kidnapping?

Victoria, if if if. If the Queen had balls she would be King.

BlueFang🕷️ please shut the fuck up. If Kyle had a choice he would not leave Harrison alone with you. BlueFang🕷️ it takes a psychopath to know one. Once again Summer❄️❄️❄️❄️’s bias is showing.  Summer❄️❄️❄️❄️, if “your” son is so important to you, then why did you choose your mother over “your” son?  It’s was your lying that broke you and Kyle up.

Kyle finally had a moment of clarity as to why Claire/Eve is not asking for anything for herself but it’s still not registering that’s it’s Clair/Eve’s phone and not Claire/Eve.  Say what you want about Victor but, without hesitation, declared Claire/Eve not to be a part of the plan because Claire/Eve wanted for herself.

Cole, Summer❄️❄️❄️❄️ is not Harrison’s step-mother.

Final thought:  Add BlueFang🕷️ to the situation and all you get is psycho babble and fuel for Summer❄️❄️❄️❄️’s mania

You are right on about all of this. I was thinking to myself I remember that Victoria was upset at Claire going out on her own without security, so I was thinking that's going to be a problem. Didn't know about the Harrison thing.

I don't have any problem with Dummer worrying herself sick about Harrison anymore than I have a problem with her loving the kid.  Considering how insular the Newmans are, I always thought her caring about Harrison the way she did was one of her few admirable qualities.  That group generally gives less than a crap about anyone outside their own circle.

But I've got a HUGE problem with her acting like her worry, her caring, takes precedence over everyone else, including Kyle and the Abbotts.  She, like all the Newmans, stamp an OWNED sign on whatever they fancy and after that's done, to hell with everyone else.  She's utterly insufferable right now and instead of showing us how much she loves Harrison, it only shows us how completely self-centered she is.  And, she's mean as a snake, lashing out at Kyle the way she's been doing.  As Waldo13 pointed out, she's the one that chose her own psychopathic mother over her family and it's entirely her fault that she's no longer a daily part of her husband's son's life.

After all this, Diane better get off the "Kyle and Summer belong together" train, and fast.  That train left the station and crashed.

To be fair, Dummer comes by her self-absorbtion honestly.  Just look at Nikki stumbling drunk into the Abbbot home this morning, making this all about her and expecting Harrison's grandfather, no less, to put her first.  To Jack's shame, that's just what he did.  Everything and everyone Newman-adjacent is allowed to live only if it serves their needs in some way.  Come to think of it, of course Victor and the gang want to find Harrison.  There might come a time when one of them needs an organ transplant and what better donor than another Abbott child?  (Time for Colleen's heart to jump out of Victor's chest and punch him right in the face).

There's tone deaf, and then there's those scenes of Dummer with Nick and Phyllis.  Phyllis, the premier psycho momma of southern Wisconsin, the dumpster diver lover, the woman who faked her death and left her children to grieve, THAT person, opines on how horrid the temp psychos are.  Not one of them - not her, not Nick, not Dummer, even seem to realize how ridiculous it is for Phyllis to say anything about Jordan and Claire other than "job well done".  Then, to top it all off, both Phyllis and Nick kept referring to Harrison as Dummer's child and only Dummer's child.

Then Show ends with Dummer snotting all over Harrison's favorite stuffed animal.  One more mess for Mrs. Martinez to clean up.

Yes she came off as very selfish and mean going after Kyle and certain members of her family especially after all they have been going through.

So wait, does MCE get paid by the tear & every time she says "me"?  Cuz if she's in a scene, you can pretty much bet we're gonna get . . .

MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE and then-

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

And then Adam will act like an asshole.  Er, when am I gonna get hired for JG's swell writing team?

Oh, then there's Phyllis, with today's lanky pumpkin strings (flat-ironed till some hair person's flat-iron pooped out) & the gray skunk stripe in the middle of her head.  And she's swingin' those pumpkin strings around.  Is that supposed to be fierce?  Eh, not so much, but I guess that's what makes for MS's acting "skill".  Did anyone else notice the top of Phyllis' dress looked like it was falling off?  Eek, no!

And when Phyllis asked Chance something -- did he say "uh, duh" or d'oh?  What he shoulda said was -- Don't hate me cuz I'm beautiful, but I'm also dumb as shit & please don't bother asking me any questions cuz my head will explode.

Lily is acting like an idiot.  And Devon is as childish as she is.  Anything Billy says, he has to say the opposite?  It's so fuckin' stupid.  We're supposed to believe these 2 morons are running a giganto corporation.  It's really dumb.

And then there's Danny, who just creeps me out now.  And he and the Bug are holding each others' face again.  Ugh, it's making me nauseous.  Please show, make it stop!

I hate when I have  free time to watch the show and the bare shouldered buffoon is on.  You lost to the woman you call bug what does that make you phyllis?
I also despise PSA stories. Unless they have Conner poison his mom and Billy, I don’t want to hear about his trauma.
Actually Danny, Lily was unprofessional when she hired your moron son, not when she fired him. Now that dumb decision is coming to haunt her.
Does Danny think he’s Taylor Swift and Christine is Travis Kelce? Would anyone care if Cricket was in the front row wearing his tshirt?

Yup, Phyllis does love her off-da-shoulder jobbies, doesn't she?

Just who does Danny (& MD) see in the mirror?  Himself from 35 years ago?  Uh, no, not happening.  I'm just grateful there were no love scenes with the Bug today & he kept his shirt on.

Btw, does Sharon hang a sign outside her coffee joint saying -- "Coffee, Muffins & Amateur(ish) Therapy avail here whenever"?

Altho I have to say Adam seems like he's getting his shit together lately.

Beth soooo deserves an Emmy for the fetid shit show of a script that she is handed each and every episode she is on. For the garbage storyline when they went on and on about how Ashley was 'My Beauty' and Traci was...not. That was so fucking offensive there are no words. To make a plus sized actress take a roll where she is ridiculed for not being 'the pretty one' is just so gross on the part of the show runners. And Beth has had to deal with that shit sundae for decades now. At least the many decades I've been watching. She ought to have several Emmy's by now just agreeing to show up to the crapfest that Y&R has devolved into.

Just when I thought Summer❄️❄️❄️❄️ couldn’t any more of a❄️, the last couple of days proved me wrong. Today, when I thought that Breathless Mahoney couldn’t be any more breathless, she proves me wrong.

Please don’t take this wrong but Connor is in a facility to help with his OCD and not at St. Jude needing treatment for cancer.

I like the way Nostrils and BlueFang🕷️ slither through GC spreading gloom and doom and an unwarranted view as they see the world.

My first impression of the doctor, on the video call, is that if a Twilight Zone episode where aliens come to earth saying they want to help mankind “To Serve Man”; but as they board the alien ship, we find that “To Serve Man” is a cookbook.  I’m sure it’s my bias of video calls because they seem so sterile.  Meeting in person gives me a better perspective of the person I’m talking to especially with the feeling of empathy towards Connor.  Further than that, the doctor just reminds me of an AI image.

Wisconsin is an at will state which means that an employee can be terminated for any reason unless the termination is unlawful but a terminated employee can file a wrongful termination claim if they feel the termination is not valid. Most claims are a costly endeavor but Daniel is lucky to have an attorney at “arms”length.

Nate sorta taking Daniel's side against Lily. Bruh. Stay out of it.

Connor's Dr. Hammond seemed fairly unflappable. Adam was working my last nerve with all his repeated questions and I wasn't even on the videocall.

Phyllis, if only you could stop acting like a jealous middle school girl about Christine. Danny's aged rock star ego is eating it up, you moron.

It didn't look to me like Connor was able to hold a pen properly so I'm not sure journaling about his feelings is going to be beneficial. 😐

Yes, Chelsea, Connor's problems are all your fault. Except for the ones that are Adam's fault. Do you feel special now? Gah, shut up you drama queen.

A t-shirt? Christina should  shelve her professional responsibilities so she can get Danny's stupid tour t-shirt? I CANNOT WITH THIS GUY.

There it is. Adam is the type of parent who doesn't want his child to get therapy for fear it'll make the child dislike him and blame him for their problems. Poor Connor.

Christine, don't coddle Danny. He'll likely be hopping on a different groupie in every town his tour stops in. Meanwhile, Danny, how can we miss you if YOU WON'T LEAVE? Go already!

Guess Phyllis is over Harrison's kidnapping. And Chance seemed pretty unbothered too. Maybe Summer hasn't screamed "my son!" at him yet. 😉

Lily, you know you have a legal right to keep the OmegaSphere properties instead of giving them back to Daniel as lovely parting gifts. But you keep tripping up your legal argument by sounding vindictive. I'm trying to stay in your corner, hon, but you're making it way hard.

I don't know about that PSA at the end with Adam, Connor, and Chelsea. Their part of this episode was mainly spent throwing the words "trauma" and "OCD" back and forth. IMO the show's concern about childhood mental health comes close to sounding like mockery.

Right? No one would even know or care who Christine was. Danny is nuts.

And OMG, a mention of Travis Kelce and Danny Romalotti in the same sentence almost makes me dizzy. AFAIC, Travis is hotter than the surface of the sun and Danny is the dark side of Uranus.

I know my brain went on TILT about the 4th time the therapist said "OCD", or "trauma", or my favorite, "ERP".  "ERP" pretty much sums up how I felt about the whole storyline.  Then there's the fake backdrop where Connor was about to start his own version of "The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole".

I was ready for ButtBiscuit to take them BOTH to the roof for flying lessons today.  Chelz doing the single tear slow burn as she lovingly recites all of her psychotic greatest hits and Adam doubting everything he's hearing from the doctor as if he's a charter member of the Flat Earth Society was exhausting - and how many times do we have to hear the same thing?

Also, this nonsense about Connor not "wanting them in his life", how would that even work, exactly?  Is Connor going to get his own place, maybe a junior executive position at Newman?  He's a KID and he's stuck with those two nudnicks for at least another 6 years at the very least.

I really hope Danny dumps Christine and takes Phyllis on tour with him.  Phyllis is the one who most deserves to wear that teeshirt and sit in the front row and cheer Danny on as he opens for the latest cover band for Gary Lewis and the Playboys.  Let Danny be pelted with all the support hose and hernia belts as he belts out his version of "Love Grows Where my Rosemary Goes" while Phyllis flashes her blue toothed saber grimace at him.  Here's hoping his hair dye runs down his face at his next concert.

It's pretty rich for ButtBiscuit to be chiding Lily for possibly making the company look bad if her behavior is viewed as childish or vindictive.  Her firing Daniel and Heather absolutely pales to zero visibility when put up against the blatant incompetence and outright embezzlement and chicanery ButtBiscuit has engaged in during virtually every job he's ever held.  The man is a delusional menace.  And he's the absolute WORST exboyfriend ever.  I'm really liking Killer Lily right now.  Off with their heads, Lily!

It's always funny when anyone at Newman or Jabot gets all nervous about bad press, anyway, considering the crap Victor and even Jack, not to mention the other worthies who've worked there have pulled.  They still haven't figured out that NOBODY CARES.  And if they do, just give them a two for one coupon and all is forgiven.

ETA - Incorrectly wrote "Gerry Lewis and the Playboys" when I should really be ashamed that I then remembered it was "Gary Lewis and the Playboys".

Speaking of lawsuits, Heather...when you are done with Lily & Company, how about a sex discrimination suit against Show ??

Many [whoshallremainnameless] females on Show have had ...ahem, "adjustments"  done. Why has Danny not been offered a jowl reduction and a throat dewrinkling ?? That, and allowing his hair to go just a wee bit gray as befits a mature man. Even those tweeks would probably not put him in "virile rock star" territory though.

What can you do with a guy who prefers Crickets and Blue Fang Beetles ?? Sigh.

Let's not forget old rock stars that can't get any more big gigs, sail away to perform on cruise ships. In 1992 I took a Christmas cruise right after my husband died with our teenage son.  The "Archies" were on board and sang "Sugar, Sugar." My son and I still think it was quite campy, and laugh about it. @boes I don't think Phyllis as a probationer can leave the state without permission to tour with Danny. I suggest he take Ashley. He'd have the company of 3 women that way....maybe Ashley could even do a cover of "I'm Every Woman," with his band?

Whoa, that never occurred to me before now. I hope JG isn't pulling that sh!t. Substituting an AI-generated character for a real actor is like stealing money from all the actors who could've performed the role. (IMO, of course; I know mileage varies widely on the AI issue.)

Did I miss something with Lily?  She seems to be admitting that the cause of firing Daniel and Heather was because he cheated on her.  Is the board going to see it as a just reason?  How is Abby going to vote?  Will Jill side with Lily in woman solidarity?  Is the Board going to chastize Lily and then give the jobs and/or games back?  I was thinking how savvy Lily was when she pointed out how much Daniel brought to the table vs how much CW invested in it.  And she (or her legal team)had the good sense to make an ironclad contract re ownership of the product.  I'm #Teamlily but I wish she had a better reason for firing them.

Yeah, and she was dropping it coyly on the side her son was sitting.  Glaaaah.  I don't understand how Daniel could keep eating.

I've gotten more feeling from the AI telemarketer phonecalls I get every damn day.  Why didn't they just ask Alexa?  Oh, wait, Adam did put in a call to Dr. Sharon.

The Board won't side with Lily because it isn't a legal reason to fire someone. And let's be real, everyone knows at their age, the old adage, 'You don't shit where you eat.' It is Liky's fault for bringing her fuck buddy into her work place snd propping him up. Sure she's pissed as hell that he cheated on and left her AFTER ALL SHE DID! Uch, whatever Lily. The Board will either tell her to give DBag his Princess Leia or they'll tell her she can't fire him. Then if they had any sense of humor they'd all say #YOUGOTTHAT?!?

I know we wanted JG to drop his ridiculous corporate intrigues storylines, but now it's even more clear since he's moved on to this narrative of "frayed family lines," how 2 dimensional he has let these characters become. Consumed by the villainy of Jordan and her kidnappings at present would be Jack, Kyle, Diane, Summer, Phyllis, Nick, Victoria, Cole, Nikki, Victor, and Michael. Who is managing all the corporate threats to Newman Enterprises or Jabot now? Adam is currently enmeshed in Connor's OCD treatment, and Ashley has gone over the falls with her DID. Now, exactly what "supporting" staff have we ever seen interacting with the principals in either of the businesses, that would allow viewers to think things are being managed in everyone's absence? On top of all that, is the force feeding of Claire's character arc on the audience, in addition to expecting a suspension of disbelief and acceptance of all of Harrison's new "faux family," seemingly erasing the fact of his biological mother, Tara Locke. As for the powers of Jordan, they have strained all of my credulity. The  comings and goings of two elite families being so accessible on a 24 hour basis to only one person is just nonsensical. Hope JG has had the good sense to have written a mole into the scripts for Jordan, to 'splain all this.

An at-will employee can be terminated for any reason or no reason at all.  There would only be unlawful termination (and basis for a suit) if the employee was fired because their employer asked them to do something illegal in the course of their job.  At will works both ways, too.  Daniel could have left anytime he wanted.

Which brings me to:

Amen.  I'm sure it was all unicorns and roses when they started this, but the honeymoon is definitely over.  Danny should have quit as soon as he and Heather bumped uglies and then negotiated what he could take with him.

It's time for Tucker and Audra to swoop in on a takeover.

She definitely deserves an Emmy. She can act rings around most of the women on the show.

I assume their career was on the downslide by then....

Gary was drafted into the Army in 1967, for a two-year tour of duty, so that performance in Dubuque may have been in 1970.

I found the following in Wikipedia - I added the italics because those are the only venues I can imagine a Danny Romalotti being booked for - and I'm guessing that the majority of his "groupies" are old enough to join AARP:   "As of 2022, Gary Lewis and the Playboys are still touring the world on their own and occasionally with other popular acts of the 1950s, '60s, and '70s. The group performs on cruise ships, at casinos, festivals, fairs, and corporate events."

That's OK, we still love you - but I'd only want a DR World Tour 2024 t-shirt for its cleaning rag value.

Out in other soap forum world someone made a good point: shouldn't Harrison's room be considered a crime scene and blocked off?

Nikki, strong minty breath on a known alcoholic is a dead giveaway.

Victor. How many traps have you and Nikki set for Jordan already? None of which have worked! I don't know how Jack managed not to cuss Victor out. 🤬

Wow, Victor completely deflecting blame for Jordan back onto Jack. Dude, Jack was right. You should've either killed Jordan or turned her over to legal authorities when you had the opportunity. You Newmans assuming you're above the law and invincible has made you sitting ducks.

I think whoever is writing the Connor storyline really should have done better research. They're making Adam sound like Connor has paranoid schizophrenia or something way worse than OCD.

Generally I don't have a problem with the word "b!tch" but Victor used it at least twice today. It was not sitting right with me. He may not be a misogynist IMO but he hangs out in their neighborhood a lot.

AYFKMWTS, Nikki? You can't even get control over your drinking so the likelihood of you finally outfoxing Jordan is nil. You Newmans are almost your own worst enemies.

Summer: oh Chance, I'm afraid I'm never going to see my son again!
Chance: Summer, sweetie, who is this "my son" of whom you speak?
Summer: not you too! You and those mean internet people should shut up!
Chance: <gulp>

So, no Amber Alert issued for Harrison because it would piss off Jordan. WTAF. This storyline has plotholes big enough to fly the space shuttle through.

Re the previews: Ashley has a Southern belle alter? That's hilarious! And if Nikki goes to meet Jordan without packing her fully-loaded Glock, I am done with her. 🙄

Hey Jack, you will do anything for Harrison?  Then why don’t you bring back his REAL mother, Tara, to GC?

Adam why are you blaming yourself when it was Breathless Mahoney who caused most of Connor’s trauma.  Adam think back. Conner’s trauma kicked in when he found out his mother was a head case and the kids in school started to bully him about it. In addition he found out that he had a half brother than he felt rejected him when Johnny and Lucy left without him.  How many other kids felt it was their fault when their parents got a divorce?  It seems more the rule than the exception.

Summer❄️❄️❄️❄️, Claire is fresh out of a mental institution?  Memorial is not what you call a mental institution.  Beside being in a mental institution is a lot better than being in a ❄️❄️❄️ institution and having a nut job for a mother. Claire/Eve’s wasn’t born that way she was made that way and on the other hand you were a ❄️❄️❄️ at birth.  Claire/Eve’s genetics are a lot better than yours Summer❄️❄️❄️❄️.

Was Danny supposed to be a superstar on par with someone like Donny Osmond? I'm not sure who to liken his past stardom to. It seemed like he called home a scrappy apartment and never really dressed or seemed like he had loads of money.

Hey now, Donny is still selling out shows all over the world. Maybe not huge arenas, but he’s in residence in Vegas and plays smaller (500-1000 seat) venues when he tours. Don’t compare Danny Romaloti to my Donny lol!
